When they saw that it was Sun Tao, the guards exchanged glances, and then one of them walked over.
"Oh, it's Minister Sun! What brings you here?"
The man who spoke wasn't very tall, but he was quite large.
Before entering the dimensional space, he was very thin and weak, but after entering the dimensional space, he was able to eat his fill.
Sun Tao glanced behind the other person and whispered, "Brother, why haven't you guys left yet?"
The other party gave a fake smile and said, "Oh! There's still some equipment inside that we need to take with us!"
Sun Tao noticed that the other person's eyes were somewhat evasive, and that they had subconsciously stood in front of him, seemingly trying to block his way forward.
Seeing this, Sun Tao chuckled, then took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and handed it over: "Brother, notify the lords inside that we should get ready to leave!"
The other person glanced at the cigarette Sun Tao offered and a smile appeared on their face. However, just as they reached out, the person behind them coughed.
The man immediately withdrew his hand.
"Ahem! I understand! I'll go inform them right away! By the way! You should go back first! It's quite dangerous here!"
Sun Tao smiled and asked in a low voice, "By the way! What are they doing inside? Do you need any help?"
When the other party heard that Sun Tao offered to help, they quickly waved their hands, saying, "No need, it's just a few pieces of delicate equipment that need to be taken away, otherwise it might affect the operation of the satellite!"
At this point, the other person glanced at Sun Tao, who was still curious, and coughed before saying, "Minister Sun, you shouldn't go here! The radiation is very strong!"
Sun Tao immediately gave him an "I understand" look, then said with a smile, "Okay! You guys get back to work! Oh, by the way! We have to evacuate in half an hour! Don't be late!"
"I'll never forget it! Thank you!"
Sun Tao waved his hand: "It's nothing! It's all part of my job!"
After saying that, Sun Tao stopped observing and turned to leave.
However, he noticed some bloodstains on the ground that hadn't been wiped clean. But he didn't stop, afraid of arousing suspicion.
Once outside, Sun Tao saw several people looking at him nervously.
Sun Tao then smiled, took out cigarettes, and tossed them around.
"They're setting up some sophisticated equipment inside, so please be very careful! Don't ruin it!"
Upon hearing Sun Tao's words, the men who had accepted the cigarettes immediately broke into smiles.
"Yes, yes! We'll definitely be careful!"
Then, Sun Tao handed the notebook to the other party, had them sign it, and then left.
However, when he returned to his office, Sun Tao wrote down the bloodstains he had just seen in his notebook.
"Phew! Another person has been murdered! Looks like these guys are getting pretty good at this!"
After saying that, Sun Tao picked up the phone and dialed Shen Hu's number.
"I am Shen Hu!"
"Brother Tiger, this is Sun Tao!"
Shen Hu sat in his office, slightly taken aback, then pointed to the phone and said, "It's Sun Tao on the phone!"
Lu Yuan nodded, sitting to the side: "It's alright! Keep asking! See what happened!"
Shen Hu then took the phone and said, "Ahem! Sun Tao, tell me, what exactly happened!"
"Here's the thing! You might be going to the Precision Equipment Center for an inspection later, and there will be bloodstains on the ground, but just pretend you didn't see them!"
Shen Hu was stunned upon hearing this: "What? You pretended not to see it? There's blood? What happened? Has someone died again?"
"Yes! I suspect that someone discovered their secret again, so they killed them to cover it up!"
"Damn it! These bastards actually killed someone right under our noses! They deserve to die!"
"Brother Tiger, you must remember not to alert them. If we do, we won't be able to wipe them all out in one fell swoop!"
Then, Sun Tao heard faint footsteps outside, and he casually turned on the monitor he had installed to take a look.
Several suspicious-looking people slowly approached his office.
"Damn! These people have already set their sights on me so quickly!"
So Sun Tao deliberately raised his voice and said, "Ahem! Brother Tiger! That's settled then! Don't forget to make sure those people take the equipment back! Otherwise, my statistics won't match up!"
Shen Hu glanced at the phone and then said, "Sun Tao, be careful! Let me know immediately if you need anything!"
"Okay! Thank you, Brother Tiger!"
Then, Sun Tao hung up the phone, and the people on the monitor had already pressed a stethoscope-like object against the wall to listen to their own voices.
When Sun Tao saw them, a slight smile appeared on his lips, and he continued with his work.
Sitting in his office, Shen Hu looked at Lu Yuan's worried expression and couldn't help but say, "Brother, if you ask me, let's just arrest them! Make an example of them! Let's take some of them out first!"
However, Lu Yuan shook his head: "No! If we catch these people now, we still won't be able to find the mastermind behind it! We need to play the long game!"
"But we can't just stand by and watch our people die like this!"
Lu Yuan stroked his chin and pondered for a moment before saying, "There's nothing we can do about it! If we can't catch this person, we won't know what they're up to!"
