Lu's mother glared at Lu Yuan, then launched into a long tirade condemning him, while Xiao Shan's mother wore a look of relief on her face.
"Alright, mother-in-law, everything's been discussed openly, so please stop. Xiao Yuan has already realized his mistake. Let the two of them have some time to themselves!"
After saying that, Xiaoshan's mother gave Lu's mother a look, and the other woman immediately understood and pointed at Lu Yuan without making a sound.

After saying that, the two left the room and closed the door behind them.
Lu Yuan and Xiao Shan looked at each other, their eyes meeting. Lu Yuan felt a strange sensation filling the air.

Meanwhile, Xiaoshan lay on the bed, panting heavily, her cheeks flushed.
Lu Yuan knew the time had come; if he continued to endure it, he would eventually suffocate. Xiao Shan seemed to be prepared as well.
