Chapter 246 Cutting Bamboo

"Tsk tsk~ How touching! Looks like I'd feel guilty if I didn't save them~"

Yue Jiuli sat on the bed looking at the mother and child on the ground. She first looked at Feng Yuelin's body. Her body was old and weak. If she really didn't save her, she probably wouldn't last more than a few days.

Feng Meng originally intended to have Yue Jiuli heal his mother, so he quickly kowtowed to Yue Jiuli and said, "Fairy, please save my mother, I beg you."

Yue Jiuli actually wanted to save Feng Yuelin, otherwise she wouldn't have come along. She frowned and looked at Feng Yuelin, saying, "It's not impossible to save you, but your lifespan is already limited. Even if you are saved now, you won't live for more than a few years."

Yue Jiuli didn't lie to her. Twenty years ago, when she voluntarily exchanged her lifespan for Feng Meng's, it was destined that she wouldn't live long.

"It's alright. As long as I can live one more day, that's a bonus."

Upon hearing Yue Jiuli's words, Feng Yuelin immediately kowtowed and said that she did not want to die and wanted to live well. She couldn't bear to part with her child and thought that she could live one day at a time.

Feng Meng also said, "Please, save my mother."

Seeing this, Yue Jiuli agreed. Actually, saving someone wasn't difficult for her. So she raised her hand and shot a green light at Feng Yuelin's body. When the light entered Feng Yuelin's body, she immediately felt much lighter and her breathing became much smoother. Even the pain that had caused her so much suffering seemed to disappear in an instant!

"I think I'm getting better~"

Feng Yuelin clutched her chest, a surprised smile spreading across her face, and exclaimed, "Oh my god, I... I don't have to die!"

Feng Meng also noticed from his mother's complexion that she looked much better. Overjoyed, he hugged Feng Yuelin and cried, "Are you really getting better? That's wonderful!"

Xiao Lan, who was standing next to her, was also wiping away tears. After all, no one could remain unmoved by such a touching scene.

Yue Jiuli saw the mother and son kneeling on the ground, hugging each other and crying. She found it a little funny and said, "That's enough, get up first. It's so late. Let's talk about it during the day."

"Thank you, fairy, thank you, fairy!"

"Alright, get up now."

Feng Meng and Feng Yuelin kowtowed to Yue Jiuli several more times before getting up from the ground.

Feng Yuelin is now fully recovered, so she said to Feng Meng, "Mengmeng, Mom is all better now. Please get me discharged from the hospital tomorrow. I don't want to stay here any longer."

"Okay, I'll process your discharge as soon as it's light."

Feng Meng said happily, "You're all better now, so go home and stay here. Why bother with the hospital?"

Xiaolan also said, "Yes, I didn't expect Auntie to really get better. Sister Jiuli is really amazing."

"By the way, Sister Jiuli, you saved my mother. Just tell me what you want, even if it means taking my life."

Feng Meng suddenly remembered the promise he had made to Yue Jiuli.

Yue Jiuli looked at Feng Meng and his mother, nodded and said, "Yes, I do need your repayment now. How about this, I need to find some people in the human realm soon, so could you help me arrange accommodation?"

"No problem, I will definitely arrange a good place for you to stay!"

As Feng Meng got to this point, he realized it was already quite late, so he said to Xiao Lan, "Xiao Lan, thank you for your hard work tonight. Why don't you go home first? Remember to ask for a day off for me tomorrow. I need to stay here overnight and get my mother discharged from the hospital tomorrow."

"Okay, then I'll head back now," Xiao Lan said, about to leave. But as soon as she turned around, she saw Yue Jiuli smiling at her, and immediately said tactfully, "Don't worry, sister, I definitely won't say anything!"

"Okay, that's good. You can go now."

Yue Jiuli watched Xiao Lan leave with a smile. She turned to Feng Meng and Feng Yuelin and said, "You two should rest too. I'm going out for a bit and will be back later."

"Okay, take care."

Feng Yuelin and Feng Meng were now very respectful to Yue Jiuli, and Yue Jiuli was quite satisfied with their attitude, so she nodded to the two of them and then disappeared into thin air.

Watching Yue Jiuli disappear, Feng Meng happily said to his mother, "Mom, that's wonderful! We met a fairy! A fairy saved us!"

"Yes, if it weren't for her, my son and I wouldn't be where we are today."

Feng Yuelin also said with a smile, "By the way, why don't you call your younger brother tomorrow? He's been wanting to come see me ever since he found out I was sick, but I wouldn't let him. I told him to focus on his studies at school. Now that I'm better, let him come and visit."

"Okay, I understand."

Feng Meng nodded and said.

In the bamboo forest, Yue Jiuli threw away the small bamboo branch she had been holding and wanted to break off another one, but she stopped just as she placed her hand on the bamboo.

All I heard her say to herself was, "No, this is too small. I'll be back in a few hours at most. It's too much trouble. Maybe I should just cut down the bamboo and take it with me?"

As she spoke, she immediately got to work. She first cut off a relatively thick bamboo, then cut off the part closest to the root, and finally cut it into a bamboo pole about the length of a forearm.

"Hmm, this should be fine. Sigh, it's all my fault for messing around back then. My soul was injured and I can't recover without finding something to possess. But thankfully, it's almost healed now. In a while, I can completely break free from the bamboo and go find Jiu Ling and the others~"
