Chapter 247 Discharge from the Hospital

The K1 department's office was located next to a courier company. When Ya Zi and Yue Jiuling arrived, they happened to see the company loading goods onto a truck, so they waited downstairs for a while.

After the company's truck drove away, Yue Jiuling and her companion prepared to go upstairs, but before they even reached the top, they encountered the parrot spirit with the rainbow head.

"Hey~ I was just talking about you guys, wondering why you hadn't arrived yet, whether you were lost, and I was just about to ask you to come pick me up, but as soon as I came down, I saw you."

When the parrot spirit saw Ya Zi and Yue Jiu Ling, it chattered on and on, and then led them upstairs to the second floor.

The parrot spirit introduced himself as Yin Wu, while the female sheep spirit from last night was named Jing. They were in the same group and were working together with Ya Zi and Yue Jiu Ling on this case.

Yue Jiuling and Ya Zi introduced themselves to Yin Wu, and then met with the director of the K1 department.

The director of Department K1 was about the same age as Director Yu, and they were old friends. As soon as he saw Yue Jiuling and Ya Zi, he smiled and said, "Are you Comrade Yue Jiuling and Comrade Long Er? Come, sit down. This is some information we have obtained so far. Take a look. Oh dear, we have a lot of things to do here, so we're troubling you to come and help us."

The old director of the K1 department was quite gentle in his speech. Upon seeing Yue Jiuling and Ya Zi, he immediately took out all the information he had obtained and did his best to cooperate with them.

Yue Jiuling picked up the documents on the table and said, "Director, is this all the information we have on that zombie?"

"Yes, this information was obtained by our people from the archaeological team there. They said that the corpse that came back to life was probably from the M Dynasty, but they couldn't find any more specific information because the tomb had already been robbed before the archaeological team discovered it."

"Tsk, okay then, we got it."

Yue Jiuling looked at some of the unearthed artifacts in the information, frowned, and said, "If there's nothing else, let's set off now."

"Okay, everyone be careful."

After obtaining the information, Yue Jiuling and Ya Zi left the K1 department management office and headed east, as the east was the suburbs and the chances of finding clues there would be higher.

Ya Zi, holding the documents in his hand, said, "This is completely useless. He's been dead for so long, and L City has changed so much. It's not like before, where people would go to their familiar hometown or acquaintances after they died."

Yue Jiuling nodded, "Yes, but this is the only clue we can find. We were just unlucky to be drawn by lot."

Speaking of drawing lots, Yue Jiuling started to feel bad again. She said, "Ya Zi, how about this from now on? You can do all the drawing lots and everything, okay? I feel like my luck is just awful!"

"Pfft~"

Upon hearing Yue Jiuling's words, Ya Zi immediately laughed and nodded, saying, "Okay, but let me make this clear first, my luck isn't very good either. If I'm still unlucky, don't blame me!"

Ya Zi's words made Yue Jiuling hesitate again. She said, "Really? You're a dragon prince, how could your luck be so bad?"

"So what if I'm a dragon prince? I'm not that Pixiu or Qilin. They are the darlings of Heaven, but I'm not. Although I am also a divine beast, I don't have their auspicious aura."

Ya Zi crossed his arms and looked at Yue Jiuling, saying, "So? Do you still want me to draw lots?"

"Yes, even if you're not as good as me, you shouldn't be worse. If you're really unlucky than me, then I won't be so upset. If my luck is even a little bit better than yours, the dragon prince, then I'll be at ease."

Yue Jiuling realized that even her worst luck wasn't that bad, so she decided to let Ya Zi handle the drawing of lots from now on.

"Haha~ Okay, then I'll do it."

The two chatted and laughed as they set off to find the body.

At the hospital, amidst the shocked gazes of numerous doctors and nurses, Feng Meng had just completed the discharge procedures with his mother and left the hospital.

Today, Yue Jiuli was wearing a new outfit she had conjured up herself: denim overalls and a short-sleeved shirt. She got into the car with Feng Meng, ready to go home with them.

"Um, Xian, Jiu Li, you don't need to help me carry my things, just give them all to me."

When Feng Yuelin got on the bus, she suddenly realized that one of her luggage bags was in Yue Jiuli's hands, which immediately startled her, and she went to get her things back.

Feng Yuelin still held Yue Jiuli in high esteem. Although Yue Jiuli instructed her and her son to call her Yue Jiuli when there were outsiders around, she didn't dare to actually ask her to help carry things.
