"Yeah, it's okay, we'll take it slow."
Ya Zi followed behind Yue Jiu Ling and then entered a supermarket.
Just as Yue Jiuling had described, the supermarket was indeed packed with people. There were so many people inside that it felt incredibly crowded even when pushing a shopping cart inside.
"Wow, there are so many people today," Yue Jiuling said, looking at the crowded scene. She turned to Ya Zi and said, "Let's go to the fresh food section to buy meat first, and then we'll buy some fruit and snacks later."
“Okay,” Ya Zi said, pushing the shopping cart ahead. He looked at the sign ahead and said, “The fresh produce section is on the right. Let’s go there.”
"Hmm, wow, there are just too many people here."
Yue Jiuling struggled through the crowd and followed Ya Zi.
Because there were so many people in the supermarket today, it took the two of them a while to get to the fresh produce section.
What kind of meat should we buy? What kind of meat do you want to eat?
Finally, Yue Jiuling squeezed her way to the freezer and looked at the various meats in front of her, saying, "First of all, I definitely want to eat fish. I wonder what you want to eat?"
Ya Zi looked at the various kinds of meat, feeling a bit conflicted, because he didn't know how to choose. So he simply said, "How about we get a little of everything?"
"That's fine too. We have a three-day holiday, so you can come over and eat there every day."
Yue Jiuling smiled and said, "Then let's buy a little of everything."
As she spoke, she reached out and took her favorite fish.
When Ya Zi heard Yue Jiu Ling say that he could freeload for three days, he was quite happy. He first grabbed a box of mutton rolls, and then a box of beef slices, saying, "These two are both good, I'll take them both. Oh, and there's also chicken and duck."
"Sure, take them all if you like."
Yue Jiuling had already gone to pick out other things. She said, "You can take your time picking things out here. I'll go over there and look at some scallions, ginger, garlic, and stuff."
"Okay, go ahead."
While Ya Zi was carefully selecting meat, Yue Jiu Ling went to the vegetable section. However, before she could find the scallions she wanted, she witnessed a lively scene.
"You damned shrew, you disgusting, rude person! Can't we eat these vegetables? What's wrong with them? If you're not going to buy them, don't pick our leaves! If you're not going to buy them, don't touch them!"
"Pah! I'm not buying your rotten vegetables! So what if I pick them? So what if they're ugly and you won't let people pick them? You deserve to have no business!"
As Yue Jiuling passed by a place selling cabbages, she suddenly heard arguing coming from there. A little gossipy, she stopped and, instead of looking for scallions, joined the people nearby to watch the commotion.
I could only see two women standing by the cabbages. One woman was wearing a supermarket uniform, so she was obviously a staff member of the supermarket, while the other was wearing an ordinary cotton coat and was an ordinary customer.
The two women continued arguing because the customer wanted to peel off some leaves from the cabbage before weighing it, but the staff wouldn't let her do so, and that's how the argument started.
However, anyone with eyes could tell that the customer was in the wrong in this fight, even though the staff member's tone wasn't very nice either, but she didn't do anything wrong.
Because the leaves of the cabbages that were peeled off and left on the ground were still very fresh, there was no need to peel them at all. It was obvious that the customer deliberately peeled off those still fresh leaves in order to buy a small cabbage.
Of course, the staff wouldn't agree to her doing that. They sell cabbages one by one, and if she peels them open like that, all the leaves will be wasted and they won't sell. Who would agree to that? So the two women started arguing.
What's even more ridiculous is that woman peeling the cabbage. She didn't think she had done anything wrong at all and was making a scene, complaining that the supermarket's products were bad and the service was poor. This made the other customers feel uncomfortable.
A male customer, probably in his early twenties, wanted to speak up for the staff member. He said to the female customer, "Auntie, what you're doing is really wrong. How are they supposed to sell their vegetables if you treat them like this?"
As soon as he spoke, the female customer glared at him fiercely and said, "What's it to you? Mind your own business and go buy your vegetables!"
Hearing her harsh words, even the onlookers couldn't stand it anymore. Everyone sided with the male customer, saying things like, "How could you be like this? You have no manners! It's disgusting! They're just trying to make a living; how can you behave like this? You'll get your comeuppance!" and so on.
Finally, after being scolded by everyone, the female customer, perhaps feeling embarrassed, spat disgustedly at the vegetable leaves on the ground and said, "Pah! Go to hell! Fine, I won't buy it!"
As the customer woman was about to leave, Yue Jiuling, who was thoroughly enjoying the show, felt she should give the customer woman, who had put on such a performance for her, a small gift.
So, when the customer woman was leaving, the audience member, Yue Jiuling, secretly cast a little spell, causing the woman to trip and fall backward, landing directly on the spit she had just spat out.
"Ouch! That hurts!"
The person who fell down immediately cried out in pain, but just moments before, so many people had been watching her, and now they all ran away in a panic.
