Chapter 505:
"This is it, let's go in."
After arriving at the alley, Yinni led Ye Dongfeng and Yue Jiuling out of the car and then arrived at an alley with warning signs posted.
Hidden pointed to the dark alley without even a streetlamp and said, "Go in?"
"Let's go in and take a look, since we're already here."
Yue Jiuling grabbed the warning line and pulled it up, then ducked into the alley. But she hadn't gone more than a few steps before she exclaimed in disgust, "Ugh, how come it's so dirty here? And there are water stains!"
"This place has never been managed by anyone."
Hidden and Ye Dongfeng followed them inside. Hidden explained to Yue Jiuling, "There used to be trash at the entrance here, it was used as a dumping ground, but it has been cleaned up now, which is much better."
"Okay, fine, I'll just come in and take a look and then leave."
Yue Jiuling covered her nose as she entered the alley. Since there were no streetlights, she turned on her phone's flashlight to see where she was going.
This alley truly lives up to its reputation as an old alley. The road inside is full of potholes, there is some garbage that has not been cleaned up, as well as water stains. Even the stone bricks on the walls have turned black and moldy, making it look quite disgusting.
Ye Dongfeng followed Yue Jiuling, a flashlight in his hand, walking and shining it as they went. They stopped frequently to carefully observe the ground, even stepping on it. He said, "We need to check this place thoroughly; there might really be some hidden passage."
"Then you should look for it carefully, but I don't think it'll be there."
The two men hopped and skipped along the way. He tapped his phone on the wall and said, "This wall is quite old. If it weren't for the fact that this alley is easy to walk through, it would probably have been torn down a long time ago."
"Yeah, well, it seems we won't find anything good here. Maybe we should just leave."
The alley was short, and Yue Jiuling quickly reached its end. She looked at a surveillance camera on the main road ahead and said, "Let Lao Cai and the others keep an eye on this place. Let's go."
Upon hearing Yue Jiuling's words, Yinni turned around and said, "They will. They already replaced this with a high-definition version."
The group walked through the alley and then left. However, not long after their car drove away, a figure suddenly appeared in a graffiti-covered area in the alley. The figure only appeared for a few seconds before disappearing completely.
"Hey, you're finally back. The deceased's family came to claim the body and took it back." Upon returning to the management office, Bai Xinyu said to Yue Jiuling and the others, "It's good that the deceased has been taken away. It's getting a bit smelly to leave the body here all the time."
"They came to claim it? They finally came! I thought they weren't going to come!"
Ye Dongfeng sat down in his seat, and couldn't resist tugging at the little flower fairy on the table: "Isn't that right, little flower? I thought their relatives weren't going to come and claim it~"
"Hmph, let go! I hate you!"
The little flower fairy ignored Ye Dongfeng and stretched out her little leaf to slap his hand: "Let go of your stinky hand!"

Ye Dongfeng withdrew his hand after being hit, but still made a face at the little flower fairy, which made the little flower fairy turn her head away and ignore him.
