Chapter Twenty: Do you have a certificate?

Huang Qing was still a little unhappy, but he still said, "I know, I'll talk to him about it tomorrow."

At two o'clock in the morning, Yue Jiuling lay in bed tossing and turning, unable to sleep. She touched her stomach and counted in her mind how much she had eaten.

"I had two steamed buns and a cup of soy milk for breakfast, fast food delivery for lunch, and roasted rabbit for dinner. Hmm~ no wonder I'm so hungry now, I guess I haven't been eating enough..."

As Yue Jiuling spoke, she jumped out of bed, changed her clothes, and prepared to go out for a late-night snack. She was so hungry that she couldn't sleep.

Bai Xinyu was still watching her drama in the living room. She knew it wasn't good to disturb others so late at night, so this time she put on headphones and shut her mouth, no longer shouting. However, Yue Jiuling was still shocked when she came out and saw the scene:

"Damn it! Are you crazy? Why aren't you asleep at this hour? Aren't you afraid of going blind?"

Bai Xinyu took off her earphones and looked at her, saying, "What are you afraid of? My eyesight is great. Besides, cats naturally like to stay up late. Otherwise, where would night owls come from? By the way, where are you going so late at night?"

"Let's go find something to eat, I'm starving! I didn't eat enough today. Do you want to come with me?"

Upon hearing that they were going out for a late-night snack, Bai Xinyu put her headphones back on, shook her head, and said, "No, I'm on a diet, and I'm not hungry. You can eat by yourself. But why didn't you order takeout instead of going out?"

Yue Jiuling said sadly, "Sigh, I'm so hungry, I can't wait for them to deliver it, and they'll charge extra for it. I'm too poor."

"Tsk tsk, how pitiful."

Since Bai Xinyu didn't seem to want a late-night snack, Yue Jiuling went out on her own. The next street was a food street, and she walked along it. The street was crowded, noisy, and filled with delicious aromas.

Suddenly, Yue Jiuling, who originally wanted to eat a bowl of rice noodles, took a fancy to the owner of a barbecue stall. That's right, not the barbecue food on the stall, but the owner of the stall!

She stared at the chubby, fair-skinned boss, drooling, calculating in her mind how likely she was to be able to eat him up. "Sigh, I really hope he doesn't have a license."

The barbecue owner was a giant octopus spirit. He was very fat, probably weighing around 200 to 300 pounds. Most of the food on his stall was seafood, such as grilled fish, oysters, shrimp, and even his own kind of octopus.

Yue Jiuling glanced at the dazzling array of seafood on the stall, but finally fixed her gaze on the owner. She smacked her lips and thought to herself: Although the fish were also very fresh, the owner was even fresher. I hope he doesn't have a license.

Just as Yue Jiuling was about to go forward to 'verify', another foodie set his sights on the giant octopus boss. That foodie was Ya Zi, who was also out looking for food in the middle of the night.

When Ya Zi saw the giant octopus boss, he immediately started drooling just like Yue Jiu Ling. However, he knew that he couldn't just eat monsters in the human world, so he prepared to go over under the pretext of going to work. But as soon as he got close to the barbecue stall, he saw Yue Jiu Ling, whose eyes were also shining.

When Yue Jiuling saw Ya Zi, she was also surprised. She thought to herself that this guy should just be here for a late-night snack, not to steal her food.

Ya Zi had the same idea, but when the two foodies saw each other's eyes, they realized that they had the same goal.

Yue Jiuling glanced at Ya Zi with displeasure and said, "This is mine, you can eat other fish."

Ya Zi refused to back down either: "Why?! I clearly had my eye on him first. Besides, do you even know if he has a marriage certificate? He keeps saying he wants to eat me alive."

When the topic of permits came up, the two foodies, who were blinded by the delicious food, suddenly remembered that they couldn't just eat at the restaurant whenever they wanted. If the restaurant was legal, then nobody could eat there!

"Ha, fine, since no one is willing to compromise, let's share it, if he doesn't have a certificate."

Finally regaining her senses, Yue Jiuling reluctantly made the suggestion, and Ya Zi agreed.

It's truly heartening to see that the two chose to cooperate peacefully instead of fighting, which is a welcome development.

Yue Jiuling and Ya Zi walked together to the barbecue stall. They walked around the stall and found that it was quite popular with customers. After looking at the ingredients, Yue Jiuling glanced at Ya Zi and then turned to the busy owner and asked, "Boss, do you have a license?"

The octopus owner didn't pay much attention to the two people wandering around at first, assuming they were looking for a spot. But when he suddenly heard Yue Jiuling's words, he was a bit confused. He thought they were city management officers, so he said with a hint of disdain, "Hehe, you two are really dedicated. It's so late and you're still checking my business license. You've really worked hard."

Urban management officers have never been popular with vendors, so it's no wonder the shop owner had this attitude. However, Yue Jiuling didn't mind the shop owner's attitude. She looked at the shop owner with shining eyes and said in unison with Ya Zi, "Do you have a license?"

The shopkeeper noticed that Yue Jiuling and Ya Zi's eyes were a little strange, but because of the aroma of food all around, the aroma masked the aura of Yue Jiuling and Ya Zi, so the shopkeeper still didn't discover their identities.

The shop owner waved his hand impatiently and said, "I have all the necessary permits, including a health certificate and business license. My shop is in the back; I only set up this stall because there wasn't enough space inside. Do you want to come in and check it out?"

"No, we don't need to see those; those certificates are not under our jurisdiction."

Ya Zi said calmly from the side, "We are from the Metaphysics Management Office. We're just asking if you have a certificate?"
