However, this environment is not suitable for Yue Jiuling and Ya Zi, who are illiterate. According to their current level of only knowing how to play with mobile phones and computers, they can only be considered as primary school students and cannot keep up with the pace of senior high school students at all.
Yue Jiuling was actually quite tired looking at the students. After all, everyone was studying hard, while she could only stare blankly at the English book. It really wasn't a good situation.
"Hey, how about we go out for a walk?" Yue Jiuling reached out and tugged at Ya Zi's sleeve, saying, "We can pretend to be asleep and let our souls leave our bodies later. After all, leaving our bodies here won't attract attention."
"Alright."
They were whispering to each other, unaware that they had been spotted by some of the other students in the class. After all, Yue Jiuling and Ya Zi both looked very young, fitting the typical student age. So, it was inevitable that a boy and girl acting intimately in class would be misunderstood.
The break time came quickly. This class was math. For classes that weren't suitable for them, Yue Jiuling and Ya Zi simply lay down, closed their eyes, and went to sleep.
The math teacher had probably been instructed by the homeroom teacher, so when he saw the new transfer students sleeping, he simply ignored them and continued teaching.
Inside the classroom, everyone was engrossed in writing, but two figures, seemingly invisible, were blatantly skipping class.
Yue Jiuling and Ya Zi transferred to this school separately. This school is a semi-closed school, with only one day off per week, so the students all live on campus.
Yue Jiuling first went around the school dormitories by herself and found that the dormitories were normal. Then she went around the cafeteria and library and found that she still didn't find anything. Finally, she returned to the classroom to meet up with Ya Zi.
"So, have you discovered anything?"
On the ninth day of the month, Ling asked Ya Zi.
Ya Zi shook his head and said, "There's nothing there. I checked the teachers' dormitory, the playground, and the teaching buildings, but I didn't find anything unusual. There wasn't even much yin energy, let alone demonic energy."
In fact, many schools have some kind of yin or ghostly atmosphere, because schools are so big and there isn't enough space for them to be built. So most of them are built by leveling hillsides.
There are many graves in the mountains, and therefore many schools are haunted by ghosts.
Upon hearing this, Yue Jiuling had no choice but to say, "Alright, Lao Yu has given us a month. If we don't find anything after a month, then we'll go back."
Ya Zi sighed, "Well, it's just so frustrating. How come our section chief always has such good luck when drawing lots?"
Their undercover mission lasted only a month. The reason it was so short was that Director Yu didn't just assign the two of them to be undercover agents; he sent everyone in the entire management department to be undercover, even though they weren't all at the same school.
After Yue Jiuling and the other girl walked around the school and found nothing, they went back to the classroom. Not long after they returned to their bodies, the bell rang to signal the end of get out of class.
"Oh, get out of class is over! We 'slept' for so long!"
Ya Zi looked up from his desk, rubbing his face which had been pressed against the desk for an entire class period, and said, "Oh dear, I haven't moved in so long, my face is all deformed."
Yue Jiuling looked up at this moment, rubbing her neck in discomfort, and said, "My neck hurts so much, oh no, do I have cervical spondylosis?"
Just as the two of them were complaining about sleeping too long, a girl walked over. The girl was holding a notebook and said to Yue Jiuling and the other girl, "Hey, you guys are amazing! You actually slept through the whole class and the teacher didn't even care. How did you manage to do that?"
Upon hearing the girl's words, Yue Jiuling immediately felt a little embarrassed. After all, being asked about the feeling of skipping class and sleeping in was indeed quite awkward: "Um, well, we..."
Just as Yue Jiuling was about to respond to this awkward question, she was suddenly interrupted by a boy. The boy looked a little serious and said to Yue Jiuling and Ya Zi with a stern face, "Boys, I am the class monitor of this class. It is wrong for you to sleep in class. It is disrespectful to the teacher. I hope there will be no next time, otherwise I will write your names down."
"Um, sorry, we'll be more careful next time..."
Yue Jiuling looked at the class monitor, then smiled and apologized.
