Chapter Five: The Fallen Dragon Prince

On the edge of the East China Sea, a handsome man dressed in tattered ancient costume, with messy long hair, stood on the beach gazing into the distance. As he looked, he suddenly leaped into the deep sea.

After entering the sea, the man transformed into a ferocious beast that resembled a leopard but was not quite a leopard. This beast was none other than Yazi, who had recently thrown a tantrum in the Heavenly Realm and was subsequently banished to the mortal world by the Heavenly Emperor.

Legend has it that Yinglong had nine sons, each different from the other, and Yazi was Yinglong's second son.

Some people might ask, why are all of Yinglong's sons different, and none of them dragons?

That's because he is a dragon from the divine realm, and there is only one dragon in the six realms. He has many wives, none of whom are of the same race, so naturally, the sons he has are not dragons and are different from them.

However, not all dragons in the Six Realms are like this. As long as they marry a dragon of the same kind, their children will still be dragons.

For example, if Yazi goes to the East Sea to find his close relatives, the Dragon King of the East Sea, they are all normal dragons.

The East Sea is vast. To ordinary mortals, it is nothing but seawater and fish. But to Yazi, there is a barrier at the bottom of the sea that prevents ordinary people from entering. Inside the barrier is a magnificent dragon palace.

When Yazi transformed into its original form and entered the underwater barrier, it alarmed a group of shrimp soldiers and crab generals. The shrimp soldiers and crab generals thought that someone was going to invade the Dragon Palace, so they hurriedly tried to intercept Yazi while scrambling to report to the Dragon King.

When Ya Zi saw that those shrimp soldiers and crab generals dared to intercept him, he was very angry. He thought to himself, "Can't you blind people see who I, the Dragon Prince, am?"

Although Ya Zi really wanted to defeat the seafood in front of him and grill it, he held back his temper when he remembered that he had come to seek refuge with the Dragon King.

Meanwhile, when the Dragon King heard from his subordinates that an animal that looked like a leopard had run into the Dragon Palace, he was so frightened that he quickly came out.

The Dragon King guessed that the person who had come was likely Ya Zi. He had long heard that Ya Zi had been disobedient during his training in the Immortal Realm and had been banished to the mortal world by the Heavenly Emperor, but he never expected that Ya Zi would come here.

Knowing that Yazi had a violent temper, the Dragon King was afraid that he would cause a great disturbance in his Dragon Palace, so he hurriedly ran out.

Ya Zi waited and waited outside until the Dragon King finally came out. He immediately went up to him and greeted him in a friendly manner: "It's been a long time, cousin."

The Dragon King, who was of the same generation as Ya Zi but couldn't beat him and was terrified of him, thought bitterly the moment he saw Ya Zi: "Oh my god, this hot-tempered Ya Zi has actually come to my place!"

"Yes, it's been a long time. I wonder what brings you here today, cousin?"

While the Dragon King was talking to Yazi, he waved to the shrimp soldiers and crab generals around him, telling them to leave. When the shrimp soldiers and crab generals saw that their Dragon King recognized this ferocious beast, they all dispersed.

Seeing that the Dragon King didn't seem to dislike him, Ya Zi immediately walked to the Dragon King's side and said in a casual tone:

"Actually, it's nothing much. I just happened to be passing through your territory today and wanted to come and see you, and perhaps stay for a few days. I wonder if my cousin would be willing to host me?"

The Dragon King immediately understood that Ya Zi had been banished to the mortal realm and had nowhere to go, so he wanted to come to his house to freeload. However, the Dragon King didn't want to entertain Ya Zi, but he dared not refuse for fear of angering Ya Zi, so he could only say with a wry smile:

"Of course, since my cousin wants to stay here, as his older cousin, I have to entertain him. Come on, make yourself at home."

When Yazi saw that the Dragon King had agreed to let him stay in the Dragon Palace temporarily, he was very happy. He wagged his tail and went into the Dragon Palace to have a big meal.

And so, Yazi enjoyed a few days of VIP treatment in the East China Sea.

After entertaining his cousin for several days, the Dragon King was starting to get restless. He found Yazi, who was drinking tea and listening to a play, and asked him in a friendly tone:

"My dear cousin Long Er, how have you been staying with me these past few days?"

Yazi was Yinglong's second son, also known as Long Er.

Upon hearing the Dragon King's tone, Ya Zi realized that the Dragon King might want him to leave the Dragon Palace. However, he had been demoted to the mortal realm and had no idea where else to go but to seek refuge with the Dragon King. Therefore, he was also a little afraid of being driven away by the Dragon King.

Even though Yazi was panicking inside, he didn't show it on his face, because he was the noblest and most powerful dragon prince!

Dressed in a magnificent ancient costume, Ya Zi sat on a crystal chair with her legs crossed, exuding an aura of authority, and said:

"Cousin, this place is quite nice. I'm very comfortable here. What? Are you trying to kick me out?"

When the Dragon King heard Yazi say this, he knew that Yazi had no intention of leaving his Dragon Palace. This would not do. Yazi could eat so much that he was about to eat his Dragon Palace out of business. He had to get rid of him as soon as possible!

Finally, the Dragon King gritted his teeth and sat down next to Yazi, saying, "Cousin, I've already heard about what happened to you in the Heavenly Realm. You came down to the mortal world to train and capture the escaped Blood Demon. You need to hurry up and catch the Blood Demon; you can't waste any more time here with me."

"So my cousin is now disgusted with me and wants to get rid of me?!"

As soon as Yazi saw that the Dragon King was disliking him, he immediately became unhappy.

The Dragon King's greatest fear is that Ya Zi will be unhappy. Ya Zi's bad temper is well-known throughout the Six Realms. You should know that there is an idiom in the Six Realms that says "Ya Zi will definitely take revenge".

The origin of this idiom is that Ya Zi was petty and nitpicky, so the Dragon King was afraid that Ya Zi would cause trouble in the Dragon Palace. Therefore, he softened his tone and coaxed her:

"No, that's not what I meant. I'm just worried about my cousin."

"Worried about me? What's the rush?!" Ya Zi expressed his confusion about the Dragon King's anxiety.
