"Oh, I didn't expect you to be able to tell that it wasn't me."
Yue Jiuling said with a hint of surprise.
Inside a luxurious villa, Yue Jiuyue was climbing over the wall. Following the address given to her by Yue Jiuling, she took a taxi and navigated her way here. However, when she saw the villa, she felt a little depressed because she couldn't believe that there would be door gods and ghosts in this shabby place, and that they would even live in the same house!
She only saw a small house next to the villa's gate after she climbed over the wall and entered the gate. Inside the house, there was even a door god statue.
The door god looked like a military general. He was wearing armor and had a fierce look on his face. He was obviously a general. However, Yue Jiuling did not recognize him. After seeing the door god, she waved her hand as a greeting and prepared to enter the main house.
But to everyone's surprise, the door god immediately grabbed a large sword and chased after her, shouting, "You audacious fiend! How dare you trespass here! You're courting death!"
When Yue Jiuyue realized she had been exposed, she immediately said, "Hey, bro, I just came to find something, don't get excited!"
As she spoke, she ran away. Although she was capable of defeating the gatekeeper, she was worried that if he brought reinforcements, it would be troublesome. She didn't want to waste time fighting him, so she decided to leave first and then find a way to get back in later.
Yue Jiuyue quickly climbed over the wall and ran out. Seeing that the gatekeeper was no longer chasing her, she planned to go around to the back to see if there was a back door she could use to get in. As long as she didn't run into him face to face, the gatekeeper shouldn't be able to find her.
Sure enough, there was a small back door at the back of the villa. Although the back door wasn't as grand as the front door, the decoration was still quite exquisite.
The back door was an iron gate with a fence on the side. It looked like there was a courtyard inside. Yue Jiuyue saw that the wall wasn't very high, so she climbed over it again. But just as she reached the top of the wall, she saw several ghosts guarding the house staring at her.
As for why she said those ghosts were guards, it's because she saw that they were wearing security guard uniforms!
"Holy crap! Is the owner of this house poisonous? Are you guys ghost security guards?"
Yue Jiuyue was utterly shocked as she leaned over the wall. She couldn't believe that such a dilapidated villa would have so many people guarding it. There were door gods in front and ghostly security guards in the back. What on earth was inside this house? How could the homeowner have managed to hire these 'guardian deities' to watch over the house?
When the ghost security guards saw Yue Jiuyue, they thought she was an ordinary person. When they saw that Yue Jiuyue could tell they were ghosts, they tried to scare her away.
A ghost who looked like a security captain floated over. He adjusted his security guard hat and said to Yue Jiuyue with a pale face, "Little girl, since you can see us, why don't you leave quickly? Let me tell you, you can't steal anything from this house. You'd better leave now."
He was treating Yue Jiuyue like a thief, and Yue Jiuyue was indeed a thief now. She climbed onto the wall, stood there, and smiled, saying, "Oh~ I can't steal? But what if I really want to go in and steal?"
As soon as she said that, the ghost security guards immediately changed their expressions. Before, they didn't pay much attention to Yue Jiuyue and only thought about scaring her away. But who would have thought that this thief was not afraid of ghosts?
"Hehe~ Little girl, looks like you want to die here and become a 'security guard' with us."
The security captain realized that Yue Jiuyue was probably no ordinary person, so he called to his fellow security guards, preparing to attack her. However, before they could make a move, Yue Jiuyue snapped her fingers and threw out a small fireball: "Hehe~ This is hellfire. Are you sure you want to kill me?"
Yue Jiuyue didn't actually intend to kill these ghost security guards; she just wanted to go inside to find something, so she only scared them a little.
After sensing the danger of the Hellfire, the ghost guards all obediently floated to the side, making way for Yue Jiuyue.
Seeing their actions, Yue Jiuyue gave them an approving look: "Hmm~ You're smart to know what's good for you, otherwise this Hellfire could prevent you from ever being reborn. So just pretend you know nothing, and don't find out what I took in there~"
