"Boss Lin, what should we do with these prisoners? We're in a hurry to get going, and three of our vehicles have been destroyed. There are too many people to fit them all in."
Kun Sheng led the remaining 8 cars in the convoy and caught up from behind.
He glanced at the dozen or so Kachin prisoners kneeling by the roadside and said with difficulty.
"That's true. These soldiers are worthless, and taking them with us would only get in the way. Let's kill them."
Lin Dong said calmly, waved his hand, and Feng Zi, who was standing to the side, understood and led two members of the Dragon Gang to take attendance.
"Da da da..."
The brutal roll call has begun.
The three prisoners kneeling on the far left didn't utter a sound before Fengzi and his two men shot them in the head with AKs.
Then, three more...
The remaining prisoners, knowing their days were numbered, were either so frightened that they collapsed to the ground, while a few particularly fierce ones cursed loudly.

A young officer, presumably the captain of this checkpoint.
"Don't kill me! My uncle is the Kachin King Ding Ying!"
Just as Fengzi raised his AK and was about to pull the trigger, he heard the young officer shout something.
"Oh? Kachin King Ding Ying?"
Lin Dong walked over and gestured for Feng Zi to put down his gun. He looked the officer up and down and saw nothing special about him except for his disheveled appearance.
"You say your uncle is the Kachin King, where's the proof?"
Lin Dong asked with great interest.
"My name is Ding Li, and I hold the rank of Major General. I was directly assigned this mission by the military headquarters."
Ding Li straightened his back and said loudly:
"I originally thought the mission was simple, just a formality to gain prestige, and that I would be promoted to brigade commander when I got back."
“You can verify my identity, Ding Li, by calling any level of military or government agency in Kachin State…”
Lin Dong and Kun Sheng exchanged a glance, both of them speechless.
We've got a hot potato to deal with—should we kill it or not?
