Finally finished writing!!!
(Let out a long sigh)
This book is the author's first novel to reach a million words. Fortunately, it was eventually finished and didn't have a bad ending.
Overall, this book started strong but ended weakly.
Last year, the peak number of readers was close to 230,000, but after the series was interrupted, the number dropped to a few thousand.
Life's ups and downs are really nothing more than that!
I recently discovered that the novel has been featured in a "real-person book narration" section. My book was fortunate enough to be selected for the platform's library of just over 1,300 books available through this feature. It makes me feel that all the hard work and perseverance along the way has been worthwhile.
Of course, there are many parts in the book that are not well written and have many shortcomings. If you and I have made it to the last chapter, then we are all destined to meet in some way.
Thank you all so much for your understanding, especially those readers who have been following the updates, encouraging the author, and supporting me to the very end!
grateful!!!

..................................
This novel, from conception to completion, took one year and eight months and only has about 1.15 million words. Why did it take so long to finish?
Because the author is not a full-time writer, and due to some work and career reasons, the updates were interrupted for half a year.
That's ruthless, isn't it?
Honestly, I think it's a bit ruthless, hehe...
Unfortunately, this is the life of a beast of burden.
I'm not the protagonist Lin Dong; I don't have the heaven-defying Black Gold System, and I can't be as carefree and willful as I please.
Ordinary people should have the awareness that ordinary people should have.
Our last remaining fantasy can only be slowly realized in the world of novels...
The reason I started writing this was because of a real armored truck robbery in 1995.
Then, his imagination ran wild, and he wondered what would happen if he were at the scene of a robbery and suddenly activated a system that could convert black gold.
If I really had such a life experience, would I have lived a more fulfilling life?
So, I kept immersing myself in the story and writing, which resulted in this somewhat immature book.
I'm a very laid-back person. When I write a novel, I usually only list one main plot, decide on the protagonist and the cheat codes, and then I bury myself in writing.
As for the plot...
Let the main characters and supporting characters take the lead!
Therefore, as the writing progressed, strange characters or unexpected plot twists would constantly appear in the book.
Sometimes, even the author himself can't predict what will happen in the next chapter...
Perhaps this is the pain, or perhaps the joy, of being a writer!
The book is finished, but there are a few plot holes that haven't been filled in yet.
for example:
Who exactly is Liu Yufeng's informant, Liu Zi?
Who is Lin Dong's biological father?
In the end, will Lin Dong be able to use his extraordinary abilities to grant those around him longer lifespans?
These plot holes will probably only be resolved in the epilogue after the story is finished...
I'll take a couple of days off to correct some errors and omissions in this book, and then officially finish it.
I will update the bonus chapters at the end of the book from time to time.
......
As for starting a new book, I already have a direction.
In my next book, I will write a farming novel set in a historical period.
The protagonist is reborn back to the famine year of 1960 and unexpectedly obtains a very powerful spiritual field world.
You can find this new book on the author's homepage; those who are interested can check it out.
I've only just started updating the new book, so I'm writing a bit slowly.
Because I've been collecting and reading historical materials from the 1960s recently, I'm trying to recreate some of the most authentic scenes in the novel.
Okay, that's enough rambling.
See you all in the next novel!!
