Chapter 107 Death Road

Ten minutes later, Kun Sheng and Lin Dong's group returned to Bailu Road, an old district in the southern part of the old city.

The majority of residents here are from the city's lower class, along with tens of thousands of unemployed vagrants involved in street hustles and organized crime.

Of all the areas in the old town, this one has the most complex security situation.

Ordinary citizens who are not from this area rarely come to this area even during the day, let alone at night when crime is most prevalent.

This area in the southern part of the city is known by the locals as "Death Road".

Because here, gang fights happen almost every day, and it's common for someone walking down the street to be shot and killed for no reason.

But this place of evil, which inspires fear in all who hear of it, is the lair of arms dealer Kun Sheng, which has been entrenched for 20 years.

The famous Quincy Building is located in the very heart of Paramount Road.

Two black Mercedes-Benz cars sped toward No. 166 Bailu Road, Kunshi Building.

With two creaking sounds, two cars parked in the small square in front of the building.

As soon as the car stopped, more than 30 fully armed gang members dressed in black quickly came to greet it.

The leader, a man around 30 years old, carrying an AK-47, respectfully opened the car door for Kun Sheng.

"Xiang Shanhe, have all the people been gathered?"

As soon as Kun Sheng got out of the car, he asked in a deep voice.

"Reporting to Master Kun, apart from the 50 brothers guarding the Hengsheng Hotel, everyone in the old street has gathered here."

"Currently, including the original guards of the building, we have 665 soldiers available for deployment."

The armed guard captain answered Shanhe loudly.

"Okay, send 100 people to block the intersection of Bailu Road. From now on, no people or vehicles are allowed to enter or leave."

"Drive away the Bai family's convoy that followed us immediately."

"The rest of you, hold your positions at key points throughout the building and be ready for battle at any time."

Kun Sheng responded with his usual sinister and cold expression, and repeatedly gave orders:

"Anyone who forces their way in without permission will be killed without mercy!"

Xiang Shanhe's expression hardened, and he straightened his back:

"yes!"

Seeing that Lin Dong and the others had also gotten out of the car, Kun Sheng walked towards the main entrance of the building.

He had only taken two steps when he turned back and added:

"Send a message to the captain, saying that the Bai family wants to seize Bailu Road. Mobilize all the low-level thugs as soon as possible and have them take up arms to defend themselves."

"clear!"

......

As Kun Sheng and his group entered the Kun's Building, the building's only entrance was immediately blocked by more than 300 gang members in black armed with AK-47s.

At the entrance of the building, a row of sandbag trenches, more than a meter high, was quickly erected.

Six German-made MG4 machine guns and three imposing Maxim heavy machine guns gleamed eerily in the dim light.

Even more outrageous, there were even 20 RPG rocket launchers...

The building was also guarded by fully armed guards at all key points.

An atmosphere of impending war was spreading.

"Let's go up to the 9th floor."

Kun Sheng led the way into the elevator and went straight to the 9th floor of the building.

Upon reaching the 9th floor, Kun Sheng instructed Yan Cheng to take the military-uniformed boy, Xiao Yi, to the medical room. The boy's penetrating wound in his right shoulder required immediate treatment.

Fortunately, Kun Sheng's stronghold was well-prepared for various wartime emergencies:

As the largest black market arms dealer in northern Myanmar, he had at least enough light weapons and ammunition to equip a brigade in this building.

Moreover, even the medical rooms, operating rooms, medical staff, and various medical equipment.

Even diesel generators are all in ample supply.

As for essential medicines, fresh water, food, and other daily necessities, there will be no shortage of them.

It seems that Kun Sheng, this cunning arms dealer, had made ample preparations for the conflict in Kokang long ago.

With this fortified stronghold in place, it will be difficult for hostile forces to break in for a short period of time unless they use heavy weapons such as tanks and artillery.

In addition, given the natural terrain advantages of "Death Road" and its strong grassroots support, even if a full-scale war were to break out with the Bai family, it would probably still have the strength to fight back.

......

After arranging a series of defense matters, Kun Sheng led Lin Dong into his luxurious boss's office.

The unfortunate young master Bai Yingteng was naturally locked in a private cell.

Fengzi and Eagle Eye, along with two gang members in black, kept a close watch on them.

As for the God of War, Lin Dong sent him to the armory of the building with the captain of the guard team, Xiang Shanhe, to choose weapons.

After all, a major battle could break out at any time, and Fengzi and his companions wouldn't feel at ease without acquiring a few handy weapons for self-defense.

Back in his most familiar place, sitting comfortably on the leather sofa, Kun Sheng finally breathed a long sigh of relief.

Tonight's experience was full of ups and downs, thrills and excitement.

Even the big boss Kun, who made money under the gun and danced on the edge of a knife every day, almost couldn't take it anymore.

"Mr. Lin, what do you plan to do with Bai Yingteng?"

As Kun Sheng asked the question, he opened a bottle of whiskey and poured two glasses.

"What does Boss Kun think should be done? Release them? Or kill them?"

Lin Dong was certainly not in a hurry to express his opinion; he wanted to first figure out what Kun Sheng, this local tyrant, was really thinking.

"Mr. Lin, do you know what the consequences will be if you kill Bai Yingteng?"

"Laogai will soon descend into chaos, and this war will soon spread to the entire Kokang region, and even northern Myanmar."

Kun Sheng's expression was more solemn than ever before:

"If Bai Yingteng died in the assassination attempt at the White House casino, tonight, at most only those connected to him will be buried with him."
