Chapter 1046 "Melancholy Boy" Conan

"Kuangyou, do you know?"

She could tell that Ayumi had feelings for Conan, and that Ayumi had even asked her out to talk about it.

They even said that Conan actually likes her.

How is that possible?

What she didn't know was that Ayumi was right; Conan liked her.

Although he told Ran about confessing his feelings, Kōyū didn't say that the person was Ran.

He shook his head, pretending he wasn't sure either, and answered Xiaolan's question:

"I don't know either, maybe it's Ayumi."

"He didn't tell me who it was."

"Okay." Xiaolan continued tidying up the kitchen without asking any further questions.

Seeing this, Guangyou didn't intend to say anything more and helped tidy up the kitchen.

Both had their own thoughts, and Kōyū guessed that Conan would most likely choose the third option.

"This doesn't fit your image as a sunny and positive person."

The "melancholy boy" glanced back at Guangyou, but then quickly turned away again.

Looking at the night view outside the window, Conan chuckled self-deprecatingly and didn't refute it.

He patted Conan on the shoulder again and said nonchalantly:

"Alright."

"It's no big deal."

"If all else fails, you can go and tell Xiaolan your true identity now or in a couple of days, and I'll take care of the rest."

"If anything really happens, I'll take the blame for you."

His tone was flat, as calm as if he were simply stating what he would eat for breakfast the next day.

He could understand Conan's conflicted feelings, but there was nothing he could do about it.

That's the only way I could comfort Conan.
