Fujieda Shigeru, who was suspected, also gave an explanation using the same reason.
But he didn't mention anything about government agencies or anything like that; he just said he didn't have time to commit the crime.
Next, Inspector Megure asked Fujieda Shigeru:
"So when you entered the audiovisual room, did you hear any suspicious sounds?"

No.

The officers brought the "suspicious man" in.
Upon closer inspection, everyone realized that the "suspicious man" was actually the Fujieda family's gardener, Kozo Doi.
The reason the police officer found Sofukyo's farming suspicious was because he wouldn't answer any questions he was asked.
Normally it would be fine, but now that a murder has occurred, he won't say anything when the police ask him questions.
Then they deserve to be considered "suspicious persons".
Fortunately, there were surveillance cameras installed in the yard.
And coincidentally, everyone saw him in the surveillance footage.
Otherwise, it would be really hard to clear his name of suspicion.
