Shiratori followed behind Takagi, glanced at the notebook, pinched his chin, and said admiringly, "Well, to be honest, this painting is not bad from the perspective of surrealism."

“No mistake.” Kōyū’s voice reached Takagi’s ears. “According to Ayumi, the criminal still smelled of gasoline. In this hot weather, he was wearing a long coat and leather gloves. He also showed an evil smile near the fire. And those words... If he’s not the murderer, Officer Takagi will eat a can of herring upside down.”

With that, Kōyū handed a few sheets of paper to Miwako: "Here, a portrait."
