Although he had experienced "Noah's Ark" before, it was only once.
He still secretly hoped that this futuristic thing would appear before his eyes.
Upon arriving at the research lab, Guangyou placed his backpack on the table and took out a CD from it.
If all goes as expected, the CD contains the "Noah's Ark" program.
Simply use a CD drive to read the disc and then open it.
Hiroki didn't tell him the specific steps.
He had no choice but to take it one step at a time.
Amidst the expectant gazes of the crowd, Guangyou inserted the disc into the computer's CD drive.
The CD drive started running, and the computer began reading the CD.
After reading was complete, Guangyou opened the CD.
The screen suddenly flickered, leaving only one line of text:
"Kuangyou, please let the people around you leave first."
Another Enter key appeared below.
It seems the intention was to let Guangyou and the others leave before pressing Enter to proceed to the next step.
Upon seeing this line of text, not only Guangyou, but everyone present was stunned for a moment.
"I'll go prepare dinner." Ai didn't say much. Upon seeing this message, she was the first to find an excuse to leave the research lab.
"Ai, wait a minute."
She hadn't taken more than a few steps when Guangyou called out to her.
He said:
"It's just something written on it, there's no testing device."
"Stay here, you don't have to leave."
After saying that, Guangyou was about to press Enter to proceed to the next step.
"No, let's go out." Conan reached out to stop Kouyu from pressing enter.
Although he was also very curious, since Hiroki said so, he decided to leave first and listen to what Kōyū had to say later.
"Well, let's go out first."
After agreeing with that comment, Professor Agasa added another reason, saying:
"I haven't finished my cup of tea yet."
"I'm also a little thirsty," Conan said, offering another excuse.
Since that's what they said, Guangyou stopped being coy and agreed.
If there's anything important, I can tell them later.
"Then I'll go prepare dinner first," Ai said as she walked to Kouyu's side.
"Mm." Guangyou nodded to her.
After everyone left, Guangyou pressed Enter and muttered to himself:
"I don't know what it is, it's so mysterious."
When Guangyou pressed Enter, the screen flashed again.
The computer screen went completely black.
Just when Guangyou thought the system had malfunctioned, the screen flashed again.
A person then appeared on the computer screen.
His youthful face held a maturity beyond his years.
The bright eyes lacked the innocence that a child should have.
Seeing an acquaintance was not surprising to Guangyou.
He was about to say hello when the person on the screen spoke first:
"Kuangyou, it's been a long time."
Upon hearing this, Guangyou raised an eyebrow, and a possibility surfaced in his mind.
He first suppressed his questions and greeted the other person:
"Hiroki, it's been a long time."
The person appearing on the screen was none other than Hiroki Sawada, who should have been completely dead.
"I know what you're thinking, so let me explain."
Even if Kouyu didn't use any device to connect to the computer, just sitting there, Hiroki seemed to be able to guess what Kouyu was thinking.
He first explained:
"I am indeed dead."
"The 'me' you see now is just a program that 'I' left behind in advance."
After hearing the explanation, Guangyou nodded and said:
"So that's how it is."
"I thought you were still alive."
He wasn't surprised to see Hiroki.
The image of "Noah's Ark" could be Hiroki.
But when he heard Hiroki's "human" greeting, he couldn't help but feel a little suspicious.
Is it possible that Hiroki didn't actually die back then?
At that time, Hiroki deleted all the data on the main server, and at the same time, Hiroki saved his own and "Noah's Ark" key data onto a CD and sent it to him.
Kōyū believes this is not difficult for Hiroki to do.
Hiroki was able to release "Noah's Ark" through the circuit back then, so naturally he can do it now.
However, it seems that's not the case now.
He wasn't surprised that a program could be described so realistically.
After all, it's artificial intelligence, so it can definitely do this; it's a basic operation.
“'I' am indeed dead now.”
After calmly uttering those words, Hiroki went straight to the point, saying:
"We can talk about other things later, let's get down to business first."
"I'm leaving you with this program so I can tell you something about 'Noah's Ark'."
"Let's start with names."
"'Noah's Ark' is the name I gave to this program."
"This name carries some of my hopes for this society; I want to try to change this society."
"Now that I've done what I wanted to do, I'm handing this program over to you. You can name it yourself."
"Noah's Ark is a thing of the past."
“Then let’s call it ‘Friday’,” Guangyou blurted out without thinking.
“Robinson Crusoe?” Hiroki smiled when he heard the name and said, “That’s an interesting name.”
"Actually, there are other reasons." Kōyū recalled the past, and a sweet smile involuntarily appeared on his face, but he didn't explain much to Hiroki.
Some of his fondest memories with Ai happened on Friday.
So, being terrible at naming things, he blurted out "Friday".
