At sunset, Shinagawa Station
Shiratori and Takagi have already arrested the suspected arsonist at Shinagawa Station. However, the suspect insists that he did not commit arson and is just a thief.
Takagi slumped in a chair at the station, glancing casually at the sign. When he saw the sign for the platform, his thoughts instantly cleared. He had a look of realization on his face. He had solved the mystery. Overjoyed, he recalled the divination and his face flushed with happiness. He seemed to already foresee himself and Miwako walking hand in hand down the aisle, with Shiratori wiping away tears with a look of resentment in the hall.

Takagi was startled and looked at Shiratori, who was staring at him with suspicion, and didn't know what to say for a moment.

Miwako sensed something was wrong. Takagi wouldn't ignore her for no reason, especially at such an important moment, and he didn't respond to her calls at all, instead hanging up the phone directly. This made Miwako frown and call out Takagi's name.
This scene reminded her of what had happened to her father, and she panicked...
