Today's breakfast was quite substantial, with a good mix of meat and vegetables, providing balanced nutrition, and even included a bowl of soup.
It took him nearly forty minutes to prepare breakfast for five people.
Xiaolan, who had just gotten up, was taken aback when she saw the breakfast on the table. She asked Guangyou, who was carrying the breakfast out of the kitchen:
"Kuangyou, is today a holiday?"
"I don't think today is a holiday, is it?"
"It's not your or Conan's birthday, is it?"
This morning's breakfast was comparable to a proper meal during a holiday, and Xiaolan couldn't help but wonder if she had forgotten what holiday it was.
"No," Guangyou said as he placed the food on the table. "I just got up early today and was bored, so I made a little extra."
"Okay," Xiaolan said without asking any further questions. "Thank you for your hard work."
"It's nothing." Guangyou waved his hand and went back to the kitchen to tidy up.
After cleaning up the kitchen, Kōyū checked the time and, thinking it was about time, sent Ai a text message saying he had prepared breakfast for her.
The reason I made such a lavish breakfast today is because of Ai.
Xiao Ai has been staying up late a lot lately, so it's really necessary for her to eat something good to replenish her nutrition.
After breakfast, everyone went to school together as usual.
Upon seeing Ai, Kōyū asked her:
"How did you sleep last night?"
"It feels pretty good." Ai said, walking beside Kousuke with her hands behind her back. "I feel much more relaxed."
"Oh, and remember to send me a text message after you're done," Guangyou reminded her.
It refers to the incident where Ai sent him a text message after finishing her research and preparing to go to sleep.
"Mm." Ai nodded.

Upon arriving at school and seeing the sumptuous breakfast prepared by Kōyū, Ai didn't ask any questions; she immediately guessed the reason.
"Eat up." Guangyou sat down next to her and urged her when he saw her standing there in a daze, "Eat it while it's hot, or it'll get cold."
After nodding in response, Ai picked up a bite with her chopsticks, swallowed it, nodded again, and said:
"It's quite delicious."
"As long as it tastes good, take your time eating," Guangyou said with a smile.
"Mm." Ai didn't bother with formalities like "thank you" to Kousuke, just responded with a simple "yes" and continued eating the sumptuous breakfast that Kousuke had specially prepared for her.
She had a question in her heart that she knew the answer to:
"Why do I feel a little sweet inside even though there's no dessert?"
