Chapter 1259 Meeting you was my greatest fortune (Final Chapter)

"If you're unlucky, you might die on the spot or become a vegetable."

"I'm perfectly fine now, aren't I?" Guangyou knew she was upset, so he smiled and said, "Don't worry, cheer up."

"Mmm." Ai responded and tried to adjust her mindset.

"I'm sorry," Kōyū said, his smile fading as he looked at Ai. "I made you worry."

Meeting Kousuke's apologetic gaze, Ai shook her head and said:

"You don't need to apologize."

"You did nothing wrong."

Recalling everything Guangyou had done for her since they met, she took a breath, her eyelashes fluttering slightly, and said softly:

"Thankfully, it's all over."

"Yes." Guangyou nodded again with a smile and said, "Yes, it's all over."

"You finally don't have to work so hard anymore."

Upon hearing Ai say that, Kousuke paused for a second, then smiled.

He was about to say something, but Ai didn't give him a chance to speak; she was still saying:

“You always carry so much on your shoulders, running around for my sake, getting yourself all bruised and battered.”

"Just like now."

“During the time we’ve known each other, you’ve risked your life to save me many times.”

"You're even willing to give up your own life to save me."

Images, along with that memory, surged from the depths of her heart and surfaced in Ai's mind:

That time, he carried her and broke a window to escape on the bus, eventually falling into a coma;

The words he shouted when he saved her, and the smile on his face as he fell from the Ferris wheel...

...

"..." Kōyū opened his mouth, wanting to comfort Ai, but in the end he didn't say anything and let Ai continue.

She breathed a sigh of relief and said to Guangyou:

"Thankfully, it's finally all over now."

"Otherwise, I really don't know if you'll be as lucky next time as you were this time, like the Ferris wheel time, or the bus time."

"To be honest, even now, I still think you're a complete fool."

"but..."

At this point, Ai paused, then continued:

"But I like it."

"Kuangyou, I like you."

Perhaps it was because of shyness, embarrassment, or some other reason.

After saying that, Ai stood up from her chair, leaned forward, and hugged Kousuke's neck.

Although Mitsuyu couldn't see Ai's expression, he felt that her eyes must be a little red.

Because he heard Ai's slightly trembling voice as she whispered in his ear, feigning calmness:

"You've been doing really well all along."

"Although you said there's no need to be so polite, I really wanted to tell you..."

"Thanks."

"Also, thank you for your hard work."

Not only Ai, but also Kousuke felt his eyes redden after hearing these words.

Sunlight streamed through the window and fell on Ai's profile, making the glistening tears in the corners of her eyes sparkle.

She raised her hand and quietly wiped away the tear with her finger, preventing it from falling.

Quickly regaining her composure, Ai let go of his hand, sat back down in her chair, and said to Kyou:

"It's your turn."

Looking down at his own wounds, Kōyū looked up at Ai and said:

"I'm the injured one."

"Ai, shouldn't you move a little closer?"

When Ai got a little closer, Kousuke put his arm around her neck.

He remembered that this was a hospital room, so he subconsciously glanced towards the door.

"Anything else?" Ai's voice rang in my ears.

After confirming that no one was there, Guangyou asked a question he already knew the answer to:

"what else?"

"That's the sentence."

After answering, Ai raised her hand and gently punched Kyou's back.

How could she not know that Kwang-woo was asking on purpose?

“I want to look you in the eyes when I say this,” Kōyū said to Ai, feigning that he had already remembered. “That’s how you show sincerity.”

The two released each other and looked into each other's eyes.

"Speak," Ai said, raising her chin.

"Thank you for being with me," Guangyou said "earnestly."

"Just this sentence?" Ai raised an eyebrow.

"Otherwise what?" Guangyou replied, pretending not to know anything.

"I said one more thing." Ai didn't expose Kousuke, but reminded him again.

"Oh, that line!" Kōyū pretended to remember.

"Mm," Ai nodded in response.

"No problem." After agreeing, Kōyū asked Ai in a teasing tone, "But is it really enough to just say it like that? Or should we add a 'best'?"

"Then tell me." Ai's lips curled up, but returned to their original shape the next second.

"Then I really have to say it," Kousuke said to Ai, barely suppressing a laugh.

"Say it if you want to, or I'm leaving." Ai said this to Kousuke, pretending to be angry, but she didn't let go of his neck.

"Ai..."

When calling Ai's name, Kousuke brought his face close to Ai's.

Ai already knew what was about to happen, so she slowly moved closer to Kyou.

Just as they were about to touch, Kōyū spoke the second half of his sentence in a gentle tone:

"I love you."

Before Ai could react, Kōyū kissed her.

At that moment, Ai felt that only one sentence remained in her mind.

After their lips parted, Ai, who was completely unprepared, absentmindedly exchanged a few words with Kōyū, but her answers were all irrelevant.
