Chapter 15 The Coffee Shop Murder Case (First Encounter with Eri Kisaki) [Chinese]

Upon hearing the sound, Conan immediately put aside his thoughts and rushed to the toilet. He pushed the door open, and Shirou was lying on the ground, pointing ahead.

Looking over, he could clearly see blood flowing on the ground. Ignoring the group of people who had rushed over after hearing the commotion, Conan ran to a toilet stall and tried it out. He found that although the door was unlocked, something seemed to be blocking it from the inside. Using his shoes that enhanced his leg strength, Conan lightly leaped up and grabbed the top of the door. He climbed up and looked closely. Himeno Yayoi was lying in the toilet stall with a look of terror on her face.

Xiaolan rushed back to the coffee shop and, seeing the bustling crowd in front of it, asked, "What happened inside?"

A passerby replied, "A girl was murdered in this store."

Xiaolan looked towards the coffee shop, feeling uneasy: Had she also been caught up in this incident?

Inside the coffee shop, Inspector Megure looked at the photos taken at the scene and said to everyone, "So the victim fell down against the door, just like in this photo, right, Conan?"

Conan looked at Inspector Megure and said, "Well, because the door wasn't locked at the time, I jumped up to take a look."

Kouyu, who was standing nearby, said to Inspector Megure, "Inspector, there seem to be strangulation marks on the victim's neck."

Kōyū glanced at Conan, who was deep in thought beside him, and thought to himself: I'm so fed up. Why does Conan even manage to kill someone just by going to a coffee shop... The Grim Reaper really lives up to his name.

Inspector Megure pondered for a moment and said, "Judging from the blood splatter, the perpetrator must have first strangled the victim, and then, shortly after, stabbed him in the heart. After the knife was pulled out, the victim bled to death."

Inspector Megure stood up and said, "The murderer must have originally intended to steal the victim's money, but when he was seen doing so, he became determined to kill the victim."

Inspector Megure looked back at the window and said, "There's a deserted alley behind here. After he dropped the murder weapon and the wallet he had escaped with, he used the victim's body to block the toilet door. After doing all that, he hurriedly escaped through the window."

After finishing his explanation, Inspector Megure nodded, seemingly satisfied with his reasoning, and then asked the officers to go outside and inquire about the criminals.

Upon hearing this, Conan immediately tugged at Inspector Megure and said, "Wait a minute, Inspector Megure, look, isn't that window too clean?"

Inspector Megure clearly hadn't thought that much about it. He narrowed his eyes and said to Conan, "That's good. Toilets should be clean."

At that moment, Eri Kisaki walked in and said, "The little one is right, Inspector Megure."

Inspector Megure turned around upon hearing the voice, then said in surprise, "Aren't you Eri Kisaki, the lawyer? What are you doing here?"

Eri lowered her head and replied, "It was just a coincidence."

Conan was clearly very curious about Eri Kisaki, and asked Inspector Megure, "Inspector Megure, do you know this person?"

Inspector Megure turned around to explain that Eri Kisaki was Kogoro Mouri's wife, but Eri Kisaki interrupted him, saying seriously, "Getting back to the point, judging from the amount of blood the victim bled, the murderer shouldn't have had any blood on him, but this window is too clean."

Inspector Megure wanted to explain further, not wanting to admit that his reasoning was wrong, saying, "But maybe the murderer cleaned it up."

After a long absence, Kwang-woo finally appeared and took over the conversation, saying, "A murderer who would leave the murder weapon at the crime scene and then flee in a panic wouldn't bother to clean the windows. Based on these circumstances, the murderer must be someone in this store."

Eri looked at Kousuke with some surprise, but she also expressed her agreement with Inspector Megure's idea.

Inspector Megure looked slightly embarrassed and said, "But, Ms. Kisaki, the door to this restroom is blocked by the victim's body, and there's no sign of it being moved. The adjacent stall also has no windows. How did the perpetrator get out of the restroom?"

Eri Kisaki crossed her arms and said, "Of course, from above."

Eri Kisaki said to one of the thinner officers, "Could you try climbing up there? Be careful not to disturb the crime scene."

The officer carefully tried to climb over and found that he could manage to do so with some difficulty.

Inspector Megure, still puzzled, asked, "But if the murderer had blood on them, there would be blood on the wall when they climbed."

Eri Kisaki walked into the cubicle, looked inside, and said, "I must say, thankfully there are toilet paper here that the murderer used to wipe the bloodstains. He could wipe the bloodstains as he climbed over the wall."

"But isn't he afraid that someone might suddenly barge in and see him?"

Eri Kisaki turned to Inspector Megure and said, "Oh my, didn't you notice? There's a lock on the door to this restroom. If you lock it, it becomes a secret room!"

Inspector Megure glanced back at the door and immediately said, "Take this and find out who went into the restroom before or after the victim. Go now!"

Before the officers could act, Conan said to Inspector Megure, "I know who they are, because I happened to see them."

"Are you serious?" Inspector Megure asked seriously.

Conan pushed open the door, pointed to Tonoyama Juzo, Wakaoji Shirou, and Sumeragi Yuichi who had to write a paper, then, sweating profusely, turned around and said, "And, and that auntie too."

Kōyū patted Conan's head hard and said, "Idiot, why are you calling me 'Auntie'? It looks like you should call me 'Sister'."
