Chapter 156 Carousel

"The suspect who assaulted the police was found unconscious at the entrance of the Metropolitan Police Department, with evidence placed on his chest..." Conan read the news aloud as he looked at the headline of the new evening paper.

This headline took up almost half the page, making it extremely eye-catching. In addition, this topic had recently become so well-known in Tokyo that it was a household name. As a result, the newspaper sold very well, and the newspaper company responsible for publishing it was secretly laughing behind the scenes.

Conan looked up at the bored-looking Kousuke and asked in confusion, "Did you make this?"

"Otherwise, did you do it?" Guangyou crossed his legs and swung them in the air from time to time. "How was the efficiency?"

Conan frowned: "No, what did you do to him? Why would he tell you all this? I'm a little curious."

"Don't be so curious, little one. Put away your curiosity." Kōyū waved his hand, signaling Conan not to ask about how he made Kōsuke Kazato calmly recount his crime.

"So, were you seen?" Seeing that Kōyū didn't want to talk about it, Conan didn't ask any more questions. Then he thought about whether Kōyū's true face had been seen. After all, Kōyū looked even more like a child than him. No one would guess what the child in front of them really looked like. Even Conan didn't know Kōyū's true identity.

Guangyou gave him a strange look: "Do you think I'm like you? Of course I wasn't seen."

"What do you mean?" Conan glanced at Kōyū with ill intent, feeling a little annoyed by Kōyū's matter-of-fact tone.

In the end, Kousuke never told Conan how he got Kyosuke Kazato to talk. While Kousuke was out, Conan also investigated the truth and confirmed that Kyosuke Kazato was the culprit. He was just about to arrest the culprit when the news of Kyosuke Kazato's arrest reached his ears.

He was initially puzzled as to why Kazato Kyosuke had been captured, but after recalling some of the things Kousuke had said earlier, he realized that it must have been Kousuke's doing.

At that moment, Uncle Mori pushed open the door, a smile on his face: "We must have a good drink today!"

Eri Kisaki followed behind him and said calmly, "What?"

Uncle Mori then realized that Eri Kisaki was still there, and scratched his head: "Just one bottle, no, one can."

Under Uncle Mori's arrangement, everyone went out to a restaurant to celebrate the capture of the murderer. They ordered a table full of delicious food. Uncle Mori also controlled his desires and only drank one can of beer, which made Eri Kisaki's complexion much better.

At the dinner table, Uncle Mori also expressed his joy and indignation at catching the murderer. He was indignant that he hadn't caught the murderer himself, and that he had even prepared an over-the-shoulder throw, but it turned out he hadn't been able to use it.

The culprit has been caught. Although Ran hasn't regained her memory yet, at least the threat is gone, and we can help her recover in a gentler way. This makes Uncle Mori feel a little sorry for her.

After finishing their meal, everyone went home to wash up and go to bed.

Nothing happened that night. Conan got up very early the next morning. He was going to Professor Agasa's house to ask Ai for a temporary antidote and then take Ran to the amusement park to see if he could help Ran regain her memory.

Kōyū was still asleep, but Conan, who was a little agitated, pulled him up.

So, Kouyu looked at Conan with a disapproving expression, but still followed him to Professor Agasa's house.

Ai opened the door. She already knew why Conan had come, so she took out the temporary antidote 2.0 that she had prepared beforehand. This time, the antidote had improved stability, reduced the pain of growing bigger, lasted for one day, and reduced the degree to which the body would develop resistance to the drug. This could only slow down the process, not completely eliminate it.

Along with the medicine, Conan was also given a hat, a mask, and a new set of clothes. This was to reduce the possibility of being discovered. Although Mitsuyu would scout the area first, there was a fear that some might slip through the net.

Conan quickly took the things and rushed into the room to change his clothes. Suddenly, Kōyū suggested, "Ai, let's go to the amusement park."

Upon hearing Kousuke's words, Ai suddenly paused. Looking at Kousuke's serious eyes, she nodded unconsciously. Seeing Ai nod, Kousuke smiled, grabbed Ai's hand, and ran outside.

Now that everything was back to normal, Shinichi stepped out of the doorway and, seeing it empty, scratched his head: "Where is everyone?"

But he quickly came to terms with it: "Never mind, let's go find Xiaolan."

...

At Dorobiga Paradise, Ai stood at the entrance, looking up at the entire park. This was her first time, or perhaps not, but she had absolutely no memory of ever going out to play before.

Laughter from men and women filled the amusement park. Her eyes flickered slightly, and Guangyou came to her side, smiling as he said, "Let's go, I've bought the tickets. I'll take you on a fun-filled day."

Seemingly infected by the laughter around her, Ai smiled and nodded, and the two walked into the park side by side.

Dorobiga Park is mainly composed of five small islands connected by bridges. The entrance is the Dreamy Fairy Tale Island, which mainly features fairy tale themes such as castles.

To the right of the Dreamy Fairy Tale Island is the Magical Fantasy Island, which features attractions such as roller coasters. Next is the Ancient Wild Primitive Island, followed by the Adventure Pioneer Island and finally the Scientific Universe Island.

Of course, the fun starts right from the entrance. Guangyou led Xiao Ai on a stroll through the Dreamy Fairy Tale Island. Most of the attractions on the island are for viewing, and the only one you can actually ride is probably the carousel.

Ai couldn't move when she saw the carousel. She pointed at it and said, "I want to ride that."

Kōyū was naturally delighted that Ai had taken the initiative to suggest what she wanted to do. He didn't want Ai to just come to keep him company, but rather hoped that she could participate as well. That's why he agreed immediately.

On the carousel, Ai felt a sense of anticipation. It was her first time riding a carousel. As the machine started, the carousel began to rotate around the ride. The carousel rose and fell as if chasing each other. Kōyū sat on the carousel in front of Ai, watching the rise and fall of the carousel. The fairytale-like decorations of the little horse entered Ai's heart, and childhood memories also flooded back to her.

Everything was harmonious then. Her parents played with the two sisters, and the warm scene captivated Ai. But one day, all of that was gone, as if it were just a dream. Because of this incident, Ai learned to shut down her emotions and bury herself in her studies. She tried to forget these painful memories, but unfortunately, these memories were like leeches, impossible to forget. Many times, these memories would resurface in her dreams.

Thinking of this, Ai sighed, but a smile appeared on her face as she thought about the present moment.

The ride on the carousel was short, only a few minutes long, and it was over quickly. After getting off, Ai looked a little unsatisfied and pointed at the carousel, saying to Kousuke, "I want to go again!"
