After Kōyū and Ai got off the Ferris wheel, seeing that it was getting late, they went out for a meal and strolled around Ginza for a while. Afterward, Kōyū took Ai back to Professor Agasa's house.
After confessing their feelings, the two became even closer. However, Ai's long-standing personality prevented her from being like other girls. She was more accustomed to keeping her emotions to herself and would pay more attention to the trivialities of life.
The lights were still on next door to Professor Agasa's house, and Kouyu smiled and pressed the doorbell.
"Who is it?" Shinichi's voice reached Kouyu's ears. He was still muttering, "I really don't know why they would come looking for me so late."
Shinichi seemed to have just taken a shower, his hair was still a little wet. When he saw that it was Kouyu, the impatience on his face vanished, and he quickly opened the door for Kouyu. Just as he was about to speak, Kouyu reached out and interrupted him: "Shut up, let me come in and sit for a while."
Kōyū slumped on the sofa with his eyes closed. To be honest, he had been forcing himself to stay awake. After arriving in Ginza, this shopping paradise, Ai seemed to have unleashed her true nature. She had been shopping for so long, but she didn't look tired at all. On the contrary, Kōyū's legs were feeling a little weak.
Shinichi sat down next to Kouyu with an excited expression: "Ran has recovered."
"Hmm," Kōyū replied nonchalantly. If Shinichi couldn't restore Ran's health, that would be terrible, but the chances were too slim. If Shinichi hadn't shrunk and had stayed by Ran's side all along, it would probably have been difficult for Ran to recover.
His long absence after shrinking made Xiaolan feel a special longing for him. This is what is meant by "you only cherish what you lose." Of course, Xiaolan didn't really lose him, but it wasn't far off.
"Aren't you curious about how I helped Ran recover?" Shinichi asked curiously, seeing that Mitsuyu seemed uninterested.
After thinking for a moment, Kōyū decided that it would be better to satisfy Shinichi's idea and make him happy: "So how did you get Ran to regain her memories?"
Then Shinichi excitedly recounted the entire day he played with Ran, including where he went to the bathroom and where he went. He talked for a long time before finally getting to the point.
As Kōyū predicted, Ran did indeed recover in the center of the timed fountain. To amplify the effect, Kōyū specially arranged a grand fireworks display.
The fireworks and the timed fountain created a beautiful scene that seemed to instantly open up Ran's inner channels, and memories of Ran and Shinichi playing at the amusement park flooded back into her mind.
This also reminded her of who she was, who the boy beside her was, her relationship with the boy, and everything that had happened before. After the magnificent scene of the fountain and fireworks ended, Xiaolan thought of Miwako.
After learning from Shinichi that Miwako was alright and that her health was fine, she breathed a sigh of relief and finally felt truly at ease.
The first thing Ran saw when she regained her memories was Shinichi, which made her very happy. The two had a lot of fun during the activities that followed, and Shinichi put some of his worries aside.
"Wow, I feel like today is the happiest day I've had since I shrunk."
Shinichi also felt a bit emotional. Back when he could see Ran all the time, he always thought it was just so-so and he was used to it. But after shrinking this time, although he could still see her every day, their identities were different, and there were many things he could no longer do.
After he finished his reflections, he realized that Kōyū had already fallen asleep on the sofa. Shinichi's voice was also much softer. He brought an air-conditioning blanket from upstairs and covered Kōyū with it.
Nothing happened that night. Kwang-woo was awakened by the chirping of birds outside his window in the morning. When he woke up, he found that he was not in his own bed. He subconsciously looked around and then breathed a sigh of relief.
Kōyū went upstairs and glanced at Shinichi's room. Shinichi had already returned to being Conan and was lying on his bed, still dreaming and fast asleep.
So, Kōyū decided to go back to the agency first and have breakfast. Yesterday's breakthrough in their relationship made Kōyū much more relaxed, and the shopping trip led to the situation where Shinichi was talking, but Kōyū fell asleep.
Back at the office, I saw Sonoko as soon as I arrived at the entrance. Ran and Uncle Mori were all dressed up and seemed to be going out. The weather was like a child; it was quite pleasant yesterday, but it felt a bit cold today. The howling wind seemed to be reminding people of the changing seasons.
"Sister Xiaolan, are you going out?" Guangyou asked.
Xiaolan turned her head and saw that it was Guangyou. She nodded and smiled, "Guangyou, are you coming too?"
A gust of wind blew by, and Uncle Mori put his hands in his pockets and said, "To celebrate Ran regaining her memory, I've come out for a stroll and will accompany you all for a while."
Eri Kisaki had to appear in court in the morning. She originally wanted to cancel her trip to accompany Ran, but Ran naturally wouldn't let Eri cancel her work, especially since she was already free. So Eri rushed to the office to prepare the documents she would need for the court hearing.
"I want to go too!" Conan's voice came from behind Kōyū. Kōyū turned around, opened his mouth and mouthed a few times but didn't say anything.
Conan paused for a moment, then nodded in understanding. Just now, Kousuke had asked him if things were tidied up properly, so as not to leave any clues that would arouse Ran's suspicion.
Yuanzi urged from the side, "Let's go! Let's go!"
Unable to resist Sonoko's urging, the group took Uncle Mori's car directly to Beika Department Store. On the way, Kouyu bought some snacks. Fortunately, there were still some snacks near the shopping street. Although the taste was so-so, they could fill their stomachs.
Uncle Mori waited for the group in the parking lot until they finished shopping. After Ran and Sonoko had browsed around, they went into a clothing store. Sonoko was excitedly picking out sweaters.
"Ran, what do you think of this dress?" Sonoko asked Ran, her face flushed with girlish shyness as she held up a sweater.
The sweater was mainly brown with two dark green stripes and two dark green sheep between the stripes. After looking at it carefully, Xiaolan said seriously, "Weren't you going to give this to Kyogoku Makoto? Isn't this a bit too cute and not suitable for him?"
After looking at it carefully, Sonoko agreed and couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. Ran glanced back at the pile of clothes and muttered to herself, "Where's that one from before?"
After a while, Xiaolan took out a light blue solid-color sweater from the pile of clothes and said, "I think this kind of simple sweater is more suitable for his type."
She liked the clothes at first glance, and she wanted to buy Shinichi a sweater this time. She originally wanted to buy this one for Shinichi, but later she liked another light pink sweater even more. She was looking forward to seeing what Shinichi would look like wearing the light pink sweater.
After glancing at the clothes Ran had picked out, Sonoko refused without hesitation: "No way! They have to be hand-knitted!"
