After jumping down, Kwangyu realized that the passage was similar to a slide. As his body was suspended in the air, Kwangyu landed on a sofa with a thud.
Kōyū then got up, and shortly after he did, Kōto slid down the aisle and sat down on the sofa.
A sliver of light appeared in the darkness, and following that light, lamps lit up one after another from back to front, illuminating the space.
Guangyou looked around the small room. As soon as the lights came on, a white convertible sports car was placed in the room.
In the very center of the room was a strangely shaped gramophone. There were some picture frames hanging on the side of the room, and on the other side was a relatively large shelf with some wine or props on it. In the corner was a piano with a thin layer of dust on it, which meant that even if Kaito knew about this room, he had never touched the piano.
This wasn't Kaito's first time in this room, but every time he looked at the room's furnishings, a hint of nostalgia and a smile would inevitably appear on his face, a face his father had taught him to maintain.
Kaito took a few steps forward, walked to the gramophone, pressed a button, and the vinyl record in the gramophone automatically unfolded to the side, and a record slowly rose from below the record.
The turntable lifted the vinyl record until it made contact with the cartridge, and at that moment, a magnetic male voice rang out in the room.
"Long time no see, Kaito."
The sound stopped abruptly. Kōyū looked up and saw that Kaito had turned off the gramophone. Looking at the gramophone, a deep longing filled his eyes, and he whispered, "Long time no see, Dad..."
But this only lasted for a moment. The next instant, he looked up at Guangyou and smiled, "How about it? This place is nice, isn't it? My dad gave me this outfit here too."
Looking at the not-so-large room, Guangyou nodded: "This room is a treasure."
Kaito paused for a moment, but quickly realized, "Yes, it's the most precious treasure in the world."
Guangyou picked up a briefcase from the shelf and opened it. A flash of silver caught his eye, and a strangely shaped gun was placed inside a red silk cloth.
Gently stroking the gun with his hand, feeling the cool touch of the material, Guangyou said, "So this is the poker gun?"
After a brief tour of Kaito Kid's secret treasure room, Kouyu and Kaito returned to their room via the stairs behind them. Just as they entered Kaito's room, Aoko's voice rang out from the balcony and reached Kaito's room.
"Hey, Kaito, Mitsuyu, time to eat."
Kaito rubbed his hands together: "Let's go, I'll show you Aoko's cooking skills."
Kōyū raised an eyebrow and then followed Kaito to Aoko's house. The food hadn't been served yet, so Kōyū asked, "Where's Inspector Nakamori?"
"Him? He's working overtime again," Qingzi replied casually, already used to this situation.
After Kaito and Kouyu chatted for a while, Aoko placed the plate on the table. The plate cover perfectly covered the food on the plate, making it impossible to tell what was inside from the outside.
There are three plates in total, one for each of the three people. In addition to these three plates, there are some other side dishes, but they are just appetizers. The main course today is the food covered by the plate in front of us.
After Aoko washed her hands, took off her apron, and sat down, the three of them began their lunch. Kaito, like the other two, happily lifted the lids of his plates.
But the food hidden under the plate made Kaito's face change color abruptly. He silently chanted "poker face, poker face" in his mind, but it was to no avail, and he was covered in cold sweat.
Seeing Kaito's reaction, Aoko looked at him with a smile in her eyes: "What's wrong, Kaito? Eat up! This is bluefin tuna meat that Kōyū specially gave us. It's not something that ordinary people can afford. You should thank Kōyū properly."
Kaito mechanically turned his head, his face dark, his teeth clenched, and the words seemed to come out one by one from between his teeth: "Well, thank you very much."
Kōyū seemed oblivious to the meaning behind Kaito's words, and nodded with a smile: "You're welcome. I hope you eat more."
Kaito's chest heaved violently, and his breathing was clearly audible. While he was struggling with his decision, Kouyu and Aoko simultaneously put a piece of fish into their mouths.
The melt-in-your-mouth texture made Qingzi exclaim in satisfaction, "You get what you pay for, it's really delicious!"
Kōyū nodded in agreement, but seeing their reactions, Kōto suddenly said, "Then you guys eat. My stomach isn't feeling well today, so I can't eat raw food."
After saying that, he quickly divided the fish in his bowl into Guangyou's and Qingzi's bowls, and then picked up the side dishes and started eating.
As Kōyū ate the fish, he couldn't help but smile to himself. Kaito only knew that he had called him before he came, but he didn't know that Kōyū had also called Aoko and even bought some bluefin tuna to send to Aoko's house.
After dinner, Aoko cleared the table. Kōyū and Kaito sat on the sofa. Kaito rubbed his slightly deflated stomach and asked fiercely, "You did that on purpose, didn't you!"
Seeing Kōyū nod easily, Kaito wanted to teach him a lesson: "You know I hate fish, so why are you doing this? Tell me, what good does it do you?"
Guangyou shook his head and suddenly changed the subject, asking, "Speaking of which, didn't you used to tell other people about the color of Aoko's... you know? I just want to ask, do you have some kind of psychological problem? What are you thinking when you tell other people the color of your girlfriend's... you know?"
The atmosphere froze instantly, and Kaito's poker face flushed slightly, but he didn't answer. Seeing his expression, Kousuke was also puzzled.
In his past life, when he watched Magic Kaito, he really wanted to ask what the point was of letting everyone know the color of his girlfriend's... well, you know. Luckily it was Aoko; if it were anyone else, he probably would have been punched.
Anyway, if it were Guangyou himself, he would never do such a thing; I guess most normal men wouldn't do it either.
After resting for a while, Kōyū got up to leave. He said goodbye to Kaitō, who was still deep in thought, and after saying hello to Aoko, he went to the station and boarded the train back home.
"Dad, I want to go tomorrow too!"
Before even opening the door, Guangyou heard Xiaolan's voice. Stepping inside, he saw Uncle Mori looking impatient: "Forget it, my college classmate invited me. Why are you guys coming along?"
Xiao Lan, wearing an apron, held a beer can that gradually deformed. Uncle Maoli, sweating profusely, said, "Alright, alright."
After hearing Uncle Mori's agreement, Ran nodded in satisfaction and turned to walk towards the kitchen.
He secretly felt sorry for Uncle Mori, who had been constantly oppressed by Ran, and then turned around and went back to his room to prepare some things.
