The moon had already risen quietly, and the cold moonlight shone through the window. Conan saw through the hole that the masked man and Fumiyo were already asleep, and he breathed a sigh of relief. He then looked back at Kouyu, who was bored and had already fallen asleep.
Conan walked over and nudged Kōyū. Kōyū rubbed his sleepy eyes, nodded, and then immediately untied the rope binding Conan's hands. Conan was finally free from the ropes and shook his sore hands.
Conan climbed to the window and looked down from the second floor. Although the second floor wasn't high and there was snow on the ground, Conan didn't want to risk jumping down. Kouyu, who was next to him, tugged at Conan and pointed to a hidden compartment they had just discovered. After exchanging a glance, the two hid inside.
Soon, the sun slowly rose and took over from the moon. Conan didn't close his eyes all night, worried that he would be discovered. However, Mitsuyu was not like Conan. He fell asleep immediately, as if he wasn't worried at all.
As soon as Fumiyo got up, she glanced around the room, but to her surprise, Conan, who had been lying there, was gone. Fumiyo then pulled up the masked man.
The masked man entered the room, and Fumiyo said, "I woke up and found that the brat was gone."
Wen Dai pointed to the open window and said, "That kid must have used the snow to jump down there. He's not going to escape!"
After Fumiyo finished speaking, she wanted to go out and chase after Conan, but the masked man stopped her, saying, "No, he must want us to leave. That brat should still be in the room."
Hearing this, Conan couldn't help but shiver. Kōyū, who had woken up from the noise, patted his hand to reassure him. The masked man turned to look at the refrigerator, seemingly convinced that Conan was hiding inside. He then walked towards the refrigerator, gripping the door with one hand and pulling a gun from his pocket with the other.
However, when the door was opened, the refrigerator was empty. The masked man was slightly embarrassed. He put away his gun and said, "Anyway, that kid has nowhere to go. We'll find him after today's transaction and deal with him then!"
The masked man and Fumiyo walked out the door while talking. Conan and Mitsuyo climbed out of their hiding place. Conan watched the two drive away and breathed a sigh of relief before going into the room to find the drug.
Conan was searching frantically, while Mitsuyu lay on the sofa. Conan looked at Mitsuyu and said, "Hey, Mitsuyu, can't you help me look for it? If we can find that medicine and analyze it, maybe there'll be a way to restore my body!"
Kōyū glanced at Conan and said, "Didn't they say they wanted to make a deal? Is it possible they'd bring it along?"
Conan didn't give up. He rummaged through the trash can and noticed the newspaper was full of holes, which seemed very strange. Suddenly, an idea struck him. From the holes in the newspaper, Conan deduced the clue of the Beika Grand Hotel. He went to the calendar, turned to the September page, and looked at the knife mark on the 27. Conan thought: Since there's a knife mark on September 27, but the 27 wasn't cut off, it means it's from before. So, before September is August. According to the August calendar, the position of the 27 is the 30!
Conan nodded, confirming that his idea was correct. Then, Conan pulled Kouyu along to the Beika Grand Hotel. Conan looked at Kouyu and said, "Can't you help me think about it? What exactly does that 30 mean?"
On the way, Conan told Mitsuyu about the clues he had collected.
Guangyou yawned and said, "Well, I'll take care of the physical strength, and you take care of the intelligence."
Conan thought and thought but couldn't figure it out. The Beika Hotel only has 19 floors, so there is no room number 30 in the hotel.
Seeing Conan deep in thought, Kōyū casually remarked, "Is it the parking lot number?"
Upon hearing this, Conan ran towards the parking lot, and Kouyu shook his head and followed him.
Upon arriving at the parking lot, Conan and Kouyu were about to approach the car in parking space number 30 to look for clues when a tall man wearing a green robe, a mask, and a hat walked up to the parking space, looked around, and then turned and left.
Conan arrived at the parking space and remembered that the man seemed to be looking at something. He looked down and found a small 1 written next to the 30, which solved his doubts.
Conan punched his other hand and tapped it with his fist, then said to Hikaru with certainty, "301, that's right, room 301 should be where they made their deal."
He quickly pulled Kōyū along and followed the tall man toward room 301. At the corner of the hotel corridor, Conan saw that the masked man was the one who opened the door for the tall man. Unfortunately, the elevator arrived, and Fumiyo stepped out of it. Conan felt a sense of foreboding: Damn it, we've been ambushed!
Just then, the door to the next room opened, and a woman came out, explaining the precautions to her child. Conan and Kouyu seized the opportunity and slipped into the room.
The little boy closed the door and found two children slightly older than him next to him. One of them wore glasses, a scarf, and a baseball cap, while the other had eyes as beautiful as the starry sky. His slightly immature face made the little boy feel that this boy would be very handsome when he grew up.
From the previous conversation, we learned that the little boy's name was Zheng Nan. Zheng Nan pointed at the two of them and said with a slightly panicked look, "You two are thieves, aren't you!"
Conan quickly covered Masao's mouth and said, "I'm not a bad person! I'm Conan, the space detective who came to this planet to chase a bad guy from Planet Lambo!"
Hearing this, Kōsuke couldn't help but burst out laughing. Conan turned and glared at Kōsuke, then looked at Masao with a fawning smile. Masao narrowed his eyes, looked at Conan carefully, and said, "You're lying, you're clearly just a kid!"
