Chapter 23 First Meeting with Akemi

Since the last time, Guangyou has been going to that bank every few days to take a look.

"Heaven rewards those who persevere! Damn it!" Guangyou couldn't help but exclaim. After a period of unremitting efforts, Miyano Akemi finally appeared before Guangyou.

It was noon when Guangyou saw Mingmei, who had just finished her lunch break and was preparing to continue her afternoon shift.

Guangyou didn't want to bother her, so he quietly waited for Mingmei to get off work at the bank entrance.

Time passed just like that; the long and tedious wait didn't make Guangyou lose patience.

Normally, Guangyou would probably have already run back to play video games.

However, Kōyū knew what was important and what was secondary; rescuing Akemi was the top priority.

The sun slowly set, and it was time to leave work. Mingmei walked out of the bank with her bag slung over her shoulder.

Seeing this, Kōyū smiled, took out a scarlet robe and mask from his bag, put them on, and followed behind Akemi.

Kōyū didn't follow her very seriously, so Akemi, who had also been trained within the organization, noticed that someone was following her.

Mingmei touched the gun she had hidden on her body, and her unease subsided slightly.

Mingmei led Guangyou to a dock. The dockworkers had already left for the day, and there was no one else on the dock except for Mingmei and Guangyou.

Mingmei stopped in her tracks, turned around to look behind her, and put on a fierce expression, saying, "The person who's been following me, can you come out now?"

Guangyou emerged from the darkness, clapped his hands, and said with a smile, "Not bad, not bad. Although I wasn't very serious, it wasn't easy for you to notice me."

Akemi looked extremely nervous and immediately pointed the gun in her hand at Kōyū.

Although the person in the scarlet robe in front of him was very short, like a child.

However, from him, Akemi felt that the aura emanating from the man in the crimson robe was almost comparable to that of Gin.

However, unlike others, Gin's aura is filled with coldness, like an ice cellar, and the murderous intent contained within it shows that Gin is a cold-blooded creature who kills without blinking an eye.

Although the man in the scarlet robe exuded a stronger killing intent, Akemi couldn't sense any coldness within him.

This allowed Mingmei to breathe a small sigh of relief. At least she knew she had never offended the Crimson Robe Man, and she was no match for him in a fight. But at least she knew that he didn't want to kill her.

For some reason, she felt that she could trust the person in front of her.

Mingmei slowly lowered her gun and said coldly, "What do you want from me?"

A smile appeared on Guangyou's face hidden behind the mask, and he reached into his robe as if to take something out.

Seeing the other party make a move, Akemi tensed up again. Kōyū said to Akemi in a slightly more mature voice, "Don't be nervous, it's just a bulletproof vest."

Kōyū threw the bulletproof vest in front of Akemi, who looked at the vest on the ground with some confusion.

Before she could ask, Guangyou spoke up, "I know why you joined that bank, I know what organization you belong to, and I know what you're thinking right now..."

Hearing this, Akemi became even more nervous, but what he said next put her at ease. Kōyū said, "Don't be nervous. I just had a little conflict with Gin. I won't involve you."

Although Akemi relaxed, her tone remained icy as she asked, "What do you want to do?"

Guangyou pointed to the bulletproof vest on the ground and said, "That bulletproof vest is specially made. It's very thin and light, and it has good protective performance. The whole vest can reduce most of the damage, but only with handguns."

Seeing that Akemi picked up the bulletproof vest, Kōyū paused and said, "This bulletproof vest has a special treatment on the chest, making it more effective. The blood bags inside will even simulate your bleeding. When you meet Gin, wear this bulletproof vest. I'll make all the arrangements to ensure you don't die!"

Upon hearing that she could survive, Mingmei's face showed not excitement, but rather a hint of worry. She said, "But, I have a younger sister... I'm afraid..."

Before she could finish speaking, Guangyou said, "She'll be alright..."

Akemi clearly did not understand what Kōyū was saying.

However, she didn't care. When she heard Guangyou assure her that her sister would be alright, she was delighted and a smile appeared on her face.

As if remembering something, Kōyū walked over to Akemi, took out a red capsule from his pocket, and handed it to her.

Akemi reached out her hand with a puzzled look. As she took the capsule, she noticed something very interesting: the person in front of her had very delicate skin, just like a child's.

The thought was immediately banished from my mind; after all, what kind of aura could a child have?

Guangyou said, "If you bite this, it will bleed out a blood-red liquid. Gin will definitely not let you off the hook then. The bulletproof vest is for saving your life, but this is to fool Gin. He will be too busy to handle it. If he finds out that you are not dead, your sister may be in danger!"

Upon hearing that it might put Shiho in danger, Akemi quickly accepted the capsule and carefully hid it away.

At this point, Kōyū had the opportunity to observe Akemi, who and Shiho were two completely different people to the outside world.

Mei is gentle and warm, while Shiho is cold as ice. Shiho may only show her little girl side in front of Mei.

However, Kouyu firmly believes that Shiho will eventually show him her true self!

Mingmei carefully put away the blood capsule and quickly took a few steps back, wanting to bow to Guangyou to express her gratitude, but Guangyou stopped her.
