Chapter 248 Takagi finally showed some backbone.

Miwako recognized what it was at a glance.

"Officer Takagi, what's going on?"

Takagi immediately gave Miwako a few meaningful glances.

There are many times during missions when you can't speak, so you have to rely on teamwork.

Miwako nodded knowingly, letting Takagi act first, and then asking about the specifics later.

The subdued man tried to break free but failed, so he yelled at Takagi, "What are you doing? Do you believe I'll call the police?"

The man seemed unaware that the items in his pockets had been taken out.

Takagi didn't explain to him and took him directly to another carriage.

To avoid this man having any interaction with Ogura Chizo.

"What did you say to him? Why doesn't he seem to suspect anything at all?"

Conan nudged Kōyū with his elbow and asked curiously.

Guangyou shrugged: "I'll be honest, I found blood and a knife when I went to the toilet, and I suspect someone is trying to fake their death to escape."

"The only person here who needs to escape is Ogura Chizo, I just made a random deduction."

"Alright then," Conan said, slightly exasperated.

Uncle Mori was sitting in his seat reading an entertainment magazine on the Shinkansen when he heard the noise and looked up.

Not knowing what had happened, he asked Takagi, who was passing by, "Officer Takagi, what's going on with him?"

Takagi smiled and replied, "It's nothing, we just need to take his statement. It's from a previous case."

Uncle Mori didn't suspect anything, nodded, and then turned to look at the magazine.

"Miss Yoko is still very beautiful."

Uncle Mori was staring at Yoko Okino in the magazine, his face practically pressed against it.

Helpless, Ran could only turn her head and look out the car window, muttering softly, "I don't know what Shinichi is talking about, but I don't think I dare to ask again."

Being able to say something once doesn't mean you'll be able to say it a second time, especially when you didn't hear it clearly.

It is extremely easy for people to feel embarrassed.

After riding the Shinkansen for nearly half an hour and changing stations a couple of times, the group finally returned to the office.

The afternoon passed uneventfully. Since the arrest of the two men did not involve Uncle Mori, he did not give a statement.

Kwang-yu went to the Metropolitan Police Department to give a brief statement and learned that after being questioned separately, they used methods to get the two men to confess to the facts.

The two almost got into an argument as they passed each other.

Fortunately, things went relatively smoothly overall.

The police also learned the drug trafficking route from the man in the white hat and blue shirt, and coincidentally, the timing was today.

With the man's help, the police successfully dismantled a major drug den.

This action left Guangyou both amused and exasperated. He had no idea that the man was such a spineless coward who would so easily reveal his entire family's wealth.

Meanwhile, because of this incident, Takagi and Miwako also received a considerable bonus this month.

Takagi, who had just come out of the office, was very happy and said to Kouyu, "Kouyu, I got these bonuses all because of you. It looks like I have a good chance of getting a promotion in the future!"

After saying that, Takagi took out a ticket to the Sanada Ichizo Magic Show from his coat pocket and sighed helplessly, "I don't know what to do with this ticket."

"I didn't see anything wrong with Yumi's method either."

"Just give it to me directly! You might think Miwako-neechan is straightforward, but she's still a girl, so you have to be more proactive!"

Kōyū patted Takagi, looking quite mature.

Takagi nodded firmly, a hint of confidence finally returning to his face.

But this didn't last long. Miwako came out smiling and patted Takagi on the shoulder: "Officer Takagi, I really benefited from your help this time."

"No problem, no problem."

Takagi reverted to her shy demeanor.

"Go for it! Hit straight!" Guangyou encouraged from behind.

Takagi took a few deep breaths, raised his head, and displayed the air of a hero going forth never to return.

"Sato, no, Miwako, I'd like to ask you to come with me to see Sanada Ichizo's magic show. I asked Yumi to buy it for me; I was afraid you wouldn't agree, so I..."

Takagi was still a little hesitant.

However, I've made a lot of progress; at least I've mustered the courage to say it to Miwako.

Even though Miwako is usually very decisive, she still shows some of her feminine side when faced with this kind of situation.

Miwako's slightly flushed cheeks made Takagi unable to look away.

"If it doesn't work, then forget it..."

After waiting for a while without receiving a reply, Takagi turned away dejectedly, ready to leave.

Just as she was about to leave, Miwako grabbed Takagi's hand.

However, they quickly relaxed.

Miwako coughed twice: "Go ahead, I just wanted to see magic. It's definitely not for anything else, so don't overthink it."

"yes!"

Takagi isn't stupid; he can't be fooled by such a childish excuse.

Although he can be a bit clueless at times, he can still distinguish right from wrong.

"That's great."

A very pretty policewoman held up a cup of hot juice and said.

After taking one look, Kwang-woo recognized the policewoman.

It was clearly Miwako's good friend, Miyamoto Yumi, a policewoman from the Ministry of Transportation.

"I didn't expect Takagi to be so bold. Not bad, not bad."

Yumi's face was full of genuine smiles. "I was thinking of having him try a change-of-the-ball to test Miwako's feelings, but he just went for it. Great job!"

Kouyu didn't greet Yumi either, and quietly left after seeing Miwako accept Takagi's invitation.
