"This is truly my honor, Miss Yoko."
Uncle Mori, dressed in his ever-present suit, with his hair slicked back and shiny, looked at Yoko Okino, who was wearing glasses, with a broad smile.
"I never expected you would write a letter specifically to invite me to your friend's engagement party."
Only Uncle Mori knows what he's saying: attending the engagement party is irrelevant; the important thing is to come and see Yoko Okino.
"Don't say that. I'm the one who's honored. I'm actually a little embarrassed that I invited you here so suddenly."
Then Yoko turned around and led the way for everyone.
Guangyou followed behind, his ears plugged in, so he couldn't hear anything around him.
He only saw a man wearing sunglasses and a dark suit walking towards them.
The man's sunglasses slipped down slightly, revealing his familiar face to the group.
I've seen this face on TV many times; it's Kenzaki Osamu, the actor who plays the detective Samonji.
"So, Ms. Yoko is getting engaged to someone tonight?"
Ran glanced at Kenzaki Osamu and then at Yoko, asking curiously, "It's not related to Mr. Kenzaki, is it?"
Kenzaki Osamu nodded: "To be honest, I'm the male lead tonight, and Yoko's best friend is the female lead tonight."
"I didn't expect you to actually be able to call Detective Mouri here, Yoko. You're really something." Kenzaki Osamu said with a smile, turning his head to the side.
After chatting and laughing for a while, the group did not linger in the parking lot and went straight up to the apartment building.
Yoko's friend's room was 2801, so it only took a few minutes to walk to the door; there was no need to even take the elevator.
Uncle Mori rang the doorbell, but there was no response from inside.
He tentatively opened the door and was surprised to find that it wasn't locked and could be opened easily.
I quietly peeked my head through the door, but no one was there.
All I could see was a tennis racket that kept getting bigger and bigger.
The racket was hit with such force that it tore the net, and the racket landed directly on Uncle Mori's head.
The person holding the racket was a young woman, and she was very pretty.
The girl, panting, looked up at the doorway and exclaimed in surprise, "Yangzi? What's going on here?"
"Could you help me up first?"
Uncle Mori was still seeing stars and said somewhat dazedly.
"Excuse me!"
The girl quickly took out her racket and helped Uncle Mori up, saying, "I'm so sorry."
Even though she was slow to react, when she saw Yoko, she realized that things seemed to be different from what she had thought.
As the group entered, Yoko introduced the girl with a somewhat helpless expression: "Kaoru, this is Kogoro Mouri. Your way of greeting guests seems a bit inappropriate, doesn't it?"
"I'm sorry, Mr. Mori, you came all the way to my engagement party, and this is how I treat you."
After helping Uncle Mori up, Kaoru apologized again and explained, "Because there have been too many peeping toms lately, every time I look through the keyhole I see men I don't recognize, so I... I'm really sorry!"
Guangyou doesn't follow celebrities, but judging from Uncle Mori's tone, the person in front of him is also a big star.
After thinking for a while, Kōyū finally remembered a name that Uncle Mori usually mentioned: Kaoru Kusano.
"So, Ms. Kusano must be the leading lady tonight, right?"
Kusano Kaoru walked to Kenzaki Osamu's side, took his arm, rested her head slightly on his shoulder, smiled and said, "Yes, I'm the leading lady tonight. We're planning to hold our wedding ceremony next spring."
"However, we haven't told the media about this yet," Kenzaki Osamu said with a smile.
Looking at the seemingly loving couple, Guangyou sensed something unusual between them.
"Am I overthinking it? I don't get the feeling these two aren't a couple."
"It seems to be having some impact again, and it seems to be something between women again?"
Guangyou couldn't quite recall the plot, but that wasn't really his fault.
To know all the plot points of over a thousand episodes of Detective Conan, only a monster could do that.
However, Guangyou still has some vague impressions, only remembering that something seemed to have happened this time as well, but the ending seemed to be good.
"What are you muttering about?" Conan nudged Kōyū with his elbow and rolled his eyes. "Are you trying to ostracize me again?"
"cut."
Kōyū glanced at Conan with disdain. "You? I was just wondering what might happen today."
"Nonsense."
Conan's eyes nearly rolled back to the sky. "If you can still get it right, I'll do whatever you say."
When Kōyū heard Conan's request, he couldn't help but chuckle: "I don't expect you to do anything, but if you lose, you can have some of Eri's cooking when Aunt Eri comes."
"Then forget it, I don't dare to gamble with my life."
Conan shook his head vigorously, refusing without even thinking.
Eri Kisaki's cooking is less useful than letting him defuse bombs a few times.
One is certain death, the other still has a glimmer of hope; he won't make the wrong choice.
While the two were chatting, another beautiful woman entered, and Guangyou vaguely remembered her.
Xiao Lan also recognized her; the beautiful woman's name was Yue Yexue.
"Why are you wearing such flashy nail polish again? It looks really good, Xue."
Kenzaki Osamu looked at the manicure on Yueye Xue's fingers and praised it.
"It's a real pity. We have Yoko Okino, Kaoru Kusano, and Yuki Takeno, but we're missing one more."
Uncle Mori said with some regret.
