Chapter 261 The Emperor Isn't Worried, But the Eunuch Is—No, I'm Not a Eunuch.

After taking the statement, it was already evening when I returned to the office from the ranch.

After dropping them off at the office, Uncle Mori said to them, "I have to go out for a bit. You guys can eat out tonight to save yourself some trouble."

After saying that, he drove away.

Xiaolan, hands on her hips, said angrily, "Dad must have gone out drinking and fooling around again."

Listening to Ran's words, Kōyū watched Uncle Mori gradually walk away, but he did not agree with what Ran said.

Uncle Mori's expression didn't look like he was going out to fool around at all; on the contrary, it was rather determined.

After clearing his mind, Guangyou looked up and asked, "Sister Xiaolan, shall we go eat? I'm a little hungry."

Xiaolan knew that getting angry was useless, so she nodded, turned around and smiled, "Let's go, Yuanzi just said he'd treat us to dinner, let's rip off a big spender today!"

I took a taxi to the restaurant where Xiaolan and Yuanzi had arranged to meet.

The garden is rich, but it doesn't care about the restaurant's level at all. If it were other rich people, I guess very few would choose a non-star-rated restaurant to treat someone to a meal.

That's too undignified.

This restaurant isn't rated, but the service is excellent.

Led by the waiter, the group met Sonoko, who was sitting in a booth.

The designated location was the main hall, not a private room.

Sonoko only invited Ran, but she already knew that if they came, there would definitely be a few other children as well.

So she wasn't surprised at all when she saw Guangyou and the other two.

"Lan, over here!"

As if afraid that Ran wouldn't notice, Sonoko waved and called out to Ran as always.

She then realized she was in a restaurant, gave an awkward smile to the people around her, and then sat down.

"What would you like to eat? It's on me today, don't be shy."

With a wave of his hand, Yuanzi exuded an aura of nouveau riche wealth.

Guangyou didn't stand on ceremony with her and ordered several items directly.

While waiting for their food, Sonoko said to Ran, "Hey Ran, let's go shopping together tomorrow! I saw a really pretty dress at the mall and I'd like you to help me take a look."

"Sure, I'm off tomorrow anyway, so I might as well just relax."

Without much thought, Xiaolan nodded and agreed.

"If Guangyou and the others come too, you're all welcome. I'll treat you to dinner later. Tomorrow we'll go to a high-end Japanese restaurant, Suitoro!"

The saying goes, "If you don't fleece the rich, you're not human."

Guangyou couldn't refuse an invitation to dinner.

She simply thanked him sweetly and agreed.

After dinner, Xiaolan and Yuanzi went to see a movie.

Kōyū prepares to take Ai home.

Conan, on the other hand, was preparing to return to the agency to read.

By the time Kōyū took Ai home, it was already 9 p.m.

Apart from Conan, who had already taken a shower and was reading, there was no one else in the office.

"Where's Uncle? He hasn't come back?"

Conan looked at the book and nodded: "Yeah, they haven't come back since they drove away."

Uncle Mori didn't return until the next day.

When he returned, Guangyou and the others were having breakfast.

Breakfast was simple: toast and a fried egg.

Ran ate her breakfast while silently staring at Uncle Mori, seemingly trying to find out what he had been doing the night before.

After quickly finishing her toast, Xiaolan deliberately moved closer to Uncle Mori and took a sniff when he wasn't looking.

Xiaolan only smelled a faint scent of alcohol before asking, "Dad, where did you go yesterday?"

"Yesterday I went to England... Yesterday I made plans with someone to watch Hideo Akagi play football, and he won beautifully."

Uncle Mori spoke with great enthusiasm.

Xiao Lan nodded. Although she had some doubts, she had no evidence and had to give up.

Uncle Mori glanced at the morning newspaper he had bought on the way and showed a grateful look.

After breakfast, I rested until 10 o'clock.

Guangyou and the others went out to the shopping street where they had arranged to meet Sonoko.

Sonoko had arrived long ago. After seeing Ran, she chattered away like a sparrow, talking about how nice her favorite dress was.

Xiaolan listened attentively from the side, occasionally interjecting with her own thoughts.

After arriving at the shop, Sonoko asked Mitsuyu and Conan to wait outside.

The two went in just to take a look and then pay. Xiaolan also took a fancy to a dress with a light color and a simple style.

They came out just a few minutes after they went in.

It was eleven o'clock, and seeing that it was about time, Sonoko suggested, "Let's head to the Water Tower. We should arrive around that time."

Shuidulou is located in Beihu Town. After we arrived and strolled around for a while, it was almost lunchtime.

After making their decision, the group prepared to head directly to Beihu Town.

"I wonder who Miwako is going on a blind date with today?"

These words made Ran and Sonoko stop in their tracks.

Turning my head, I saw a police car parked right next to me.

Inside the police car sat a police officer whom several of them recognized: Yumi Miyamoto.

"Officer Miyamoto, is Officer Sato going on a blind date?"

"Yes, Miwako is probably meeting the man she was supposed to meet on her blind date by now."

Yumi leaned against the car window, a meaningful smile on her face.

Conan asked curiously, "Who exactly is that male protagonist?"

Yumi shrugged: "To be honest, Miwako didn't even know who the other person was, and she hadn't seen a picture of him. She just randomly picked someone for the blind date."

Kōyū raised an eyebrow, thinking, "Mikako's choice of people is really hasty."

However, judging from her personality, she probably just chose it randomly to appease her family.

"No one in the Metropolitan Police Department knew about her blind date except me."

Yumi's smile widened: "I wonder what Takagi will think when he finds out."

"Officer Takagi doesn't know either?"

Ran and Sonoko were both a little surprised. It was something that everyone knew Takagi liked Miwako.

Yumi explained, "Anyway, Miwako has no intention of dating him; she's just meeting him to appease her mother."

Kōyū's thoughts had already wandered far away; he remembered that Miwako was supposed to be on a blind date with Officer Shiratori.

They almost kissed.

The scene was simply thrilling!

Guangyou had tried to bring the two of them together several times, but with little success.

The relationship has grown closer, but that thin barrier hasn't been broken yet.

Even Guangyou didn't know why.

Whether it was because Takagi was too shy or something else, Miwako clearly had some feelings for him, but she was waiting for an opportunity for Takagi to take the initiative to tell her.

Guangyou wholeheartedly agreed with this reasoning. He didn't even dare to confess his feelings, let alone talk about protecting her for the rest of her life.

But Guangyou wasn't in a hurry. When it comes to relationships, it's not something that can be rushed by others; it depends on the two of them.

There's a saying, isn't there?

The emperor isn't worried, but the eunuchs are.

right.

No, he's not a eunuch.

Guangyou shook his head, banishing the dangerous thought from his mind.
