After his usual sentimental musings, Kwang-woo lay in bed for a while before getting up.
Normally, Guangyou can't sleep in the afternoon because he has too much energy.
So, feeling bored, he started reading the Sherlock Holmes stories that Conan always reads.
As he flipped through the pages, Guangyou looked up at the calendar on the table.
"It seems the day I meet Sherlock Holmes is almost here."
Kōyū shook his head: "Conan will probably be very happy then, but he'll be disappointed again after he sees what Holmes looks like inside."
Kwang-woo couldn't help but laugh when he recalled the scene of their first meeting.
Conan and the others didn't return to the agency until dinner time that evening.
For convenience, Uncle Mori suggested that they go to a restaurant for a meal first.
After dinner, the evening was quite peaceful, except for a minor earthquake I felt while sleeping.
After the earthquake, it was a school day off, and the day off was as peaceful and tranquil as ever, which Guangyou quite enjoyed.
Because he knew that as time went by and the plot unfolded, the peaceful days might not last much longer.
On Sunday, after having breakfast, Kōyū and Conan went to Professor Agasa's house.
Both of them went to find Ai, but Conan wanted to ask about the antidote.
"You're oversimplifying the research into an antidote. This drug has been under development for decades. It's too slow for me to research an antidote all by myself."
Seemingly anticipating Ai's answer, Conan simply sighed softly.
"Hey, Guangyou, do you two want to go see the animal show together? It's really exciting!"
"Sure, I've got nothing else to do today anyway."
Guangyou agreed immediately.
"Let's set off once Ayumi and the others arrive!"
"To see the animals..."
Conan lowered his head, looking rather uninterested.
"It's much better than staying at home worrying about the antidote and reading those detective novels."
Ai took off her white lab coat and put it aside, her face relaxed: "After all, I can't stay in the lab all the time, or I'll get moldy."
"That makes sense."
Guangyou nodded: "After all, I just told you yesterday not to stay in the lab all the time."
After chatting on the sofa for half an hour, Ayumi and the other two arrived.
"GO, GO, GO!"
After arriving at the place where Professor Agasa had mentioned the animal show, they had their tickets checked and entered. The group then found a row of seats and sat down.
After a while, background music started playing, and a spotlight appeared on the completely dark stage.
Actors dressed as clowns appeared on stage and began their performance.
Their performance was just a warm-up; the main attraction was the animals.
Brown bears, elephants, equestrians, pandas treading on balls, and the highlight of the show: lions jumping through hoops of fire.
This part was already thoroughly explored in previous lives, but it's quite exciting for people today.
Unlike everyone else present, Conan rested his head on his hand, looking utterly helpless.
Jumping through the fire ring wasn't very interesting for Guangyou; the only thing that interested him was the lion.
The lion was not the kind you usually see in zoos, but a white lion.
White lions are a variant of the Kruger lion, and their numbers are quite rare in the world.
The presence of this white lion named Lyon elevates the entire performance to a higher level.
The fire-jumping act was the grand finale, and Leon didn't disappoint, perfectly jumping over the fire hoops several times, bringing the scene to a climax.
Guangyou's attention was, rather than his, always focused on the white lion.
To be honest, he's really handsome.
After the performance ended and they left the venue, Ayumi and the others were still somewhat reluctant to leave.
"Today's performance was absolutely fantastic! Especially the white lion, Lyon."
Lyon's popularity is evident from the fact that it has already spawned related merchandise.
Ayumi also bought a phone charm with Lyon decorations.
The Leon pictured above is in a chibi style and is quite adorable.
"This phone charm is nice," Mitsuhiko complimented from the side.
"Right? I found it in a small shop before the performance started, and Ai and I both bought one."
Ayumi looked at the phone pendant in her hand and liked it more and more.
As Genta walked along with the crowd, he suddenly stopped and turned to ask Professor Agasa, "Professor, who is that person who's being surrounded? Is he famous? There are so many reporters around him!"
Dr. Agasa adjusted his glasses and looked closely, then exclaimed, "He is Mr. Randy Hawke, the financier of this animal show."
"Mr. Randy Hawke is from Oklahoma in the southern United States. He made a lot of money after he started mining oil. Animals were originally just a hobby of his, but his children Paul and Anne also fell in love with them. That's why he travels all over the world to let these animals entertain people."
"No, he's not Randy Hawke."
Guangyou suddenly spoke up, thinking to himself, "He's my brother-in-law's boss, James Black."
"What do you mean? It should be him. There's a picture of him on the last page of the manual. I heard he goes to see zoos all over the world with his performance team, and he doesn't have bodyguards wherever he goes. Judging from the situation, I'm sure I'm not mistaken."
Dr. Agasa squinted at "Randy Hawke," who was surrounded by reporters in the distance, and said with some doubt, "It should be him."
The group looked at "Randy Hawke" in the crowd of reporters in the distance. "Randy Hawke" was a little agitated: "Actually, I think there's some misunderstanding. My surname isn't Hawke at all!"
