"However, when I was almost in danger, Officer Otaki, who had been lying in ambush there, protected me very well."
Heiji paused for a moment, then hesitated and said, "Wait a minute, let me think about it. According to you, my dad already knew that the murderer was Kyosaka?"
Conan nodded: "Yeah, after he heard from the crowd about Kato taking the umbrella, it seems like he sent someone to follow Kyosaka's every move."
Heiji's face twitched, his already dark complexion darkening even more: "That wretched fox father of mine, next time I get the chance I'll definitely stick my finger into his ear and give him a good scolding!"
Even if you had the chance, you wouldn't dare.
Guangyou poured a bucket of cold water on the scene.
Heiji immediately backed down: "That's true..."
As they talked, the Shinkansen arrived at the platform.
"Conan, Kousuke! The car's here!"
Heiji nodded and said, "Take care, and I'll treat you to another trip next time you come to Osaka."
They took the Shinkansen back to Tokyo.
After lying down in bed, Guangyou stretched.
"Sister Xiaolan, I feel like Guangyou has been absent-minded all day today. Do you know what happened to him?"
Conan looked at Kōyū's appearance and felt something was strange.
"I don't know, why don't you go ask him?"
Ran already knew why Kousuke was acting this way, but she didn't plan to tell Conan.
Conan thought about it again and decided against it. If he were to ask Kousuke, he would most likely not get anything out of him, and might even ignite Kousuke's resentment. In the end, he would be the one who would suffer.
"Never mind, I'll just go read a book."
However, Xiaolan guessed wrong this time.
Guangyou really didn't take the completed task seriously.
Since it's already happened, it's better to just ignore it than to dwell on it.
No matter how much I dwell on it, it won't change the fact that the photos are already in someone else's hands.
Guangyou only thought about what happened last night, and now he feels okay.
He also knew that Ran wouldn't show these photos to just anyone; they would most likely be shown to Ai.
Since it's been given to Ai, Kousuke has nothing to worry about.
However, he still had to be careful, fearing that if it happened again in the future, his reputation would be ruined.
What put his mind at ease was that Xiaolan later showed him something.
Actually, he felt that he looked pretty good in it.
Of course, I'll never cross-dress again in this lifetime.
Many people in his past life have proven that cross-dressing is addictive, and he must quit before he feels compelled to.
As he lay there, Guangyou fell asleep.
That's just how people are; once they're free from pressure and have some free time, they easily get sleepy when they lie down in a comfortable bed.
He slept straight through until evening. After leaving his room, Guangyou saw Xiaolan tidying up the table.
"Sorry, Guangyou, I didn't wake you because you were sleeping so soundly. If you're hungry, I've saved some food for you."
Xiaolan looked at Guangyou with a slightly apologetic expression.
"It's okay, I'm not hungry."
Guangyou waved his hand, saying that these things were not Xiaolan's fault.
Perhaps Xiaolan felt guilty, but Guangyou wasn't angry with her.
"By the way, my mom said she hasn't seen you guys in a long time, and she's inviting us to dinner tomorrow. Are you coming?"
"sure."
Guangyou readily agreed. It was just a meal; as long as he didn't crossdress, everything was negotiable.
After agreeing to Ran's request, Kousuke went downstairs to the office to find Conan.
He now wants to see if Conan has seen that humiliating photo.
"Conan, did Ran come to see you today?"
Conan gave Kōyū a strange look; he had a feeling that Kōyū was hiding something from him.
However, she still replied, "No, she just said that Attorney Fei invited us to dinner tomorrow."
Nodding, Guangyou secretly breathed a sigh of relief: "That's good, then you can take your time reading."
"oh."
Conan paused for a moment, looked at Kōyū who had just left, and asked somewhat bewilderedly, "What happened to him?"
After leaving the house, Kousuke went straight to Professor Agasa's house.
When I pushed open the door, Professor Agasa was sitting in front of the television, laughing heartily at a TV program.
After hearing the door open, Professor Agasa turned around and, seeing it was Kouyu, said without waiting for him to speak, "Ai is in the basement."
Kōyū glanced at Professor Agasa, who had turned back to watch TV, and paused for a moment.
Then he went straight to the basement.
Pushing open the basement door, Ai, wearing a white lab coat, was fiddling with various chemical reagents that Kyou couldn't understand at the lab bench.
Immersed in her research, Ai didn't notice Kyou's arrival.
A day of research had left her feeling a bit tired. She was just about to get up and make herself a cup of coffee when she suddenly remembered that after drinking it, someone would be nagging her next to her.
He shook his head and gave up the idea of drinking coffee.
Ai pulled out the chair next to her and sat down.
This is not the life she used to lead in the organization; she no longer needs to spend every day in the laboratory facing cold machines and various chemical reagents.
In the past, she would occasionally go out without taking off her white coat, as if her clothes were superfluous.
As she was thinking about these things, suddenly a pair of hands were massaging her shoulders.
Why are you here?
Ai recognized the person from the size of their hand and a faint scent emanating from their nose.
Guangyou raised an eyebrow: "You came just because you wanted to come see me."
"You've been working on this all day, take a good rest."
Ai gave a contented "hmm".
