Eri Kisaki got out of the taxi, looked around, and when she saw Midori Kuriyama, she asked, "Ms. Kuriyama, did you find her?"
Kuriyama Midori shook her head, her brows furrowing slightly: "No, according to the police records, I remember it should be around here."
"This one, please."
Kōyū pointed to an izakaya called Mimasu next door and said to the two people who were talking.
Eri Kisaki tilted her head and paused slightly when she saw Kousuke and Conan standing to the side.
"Kuangyou, Conan? It's not good for you kids to stay out so late."
Eri Kisaki walked towards Conan and Kouyu, her expression slightly serious.
Before she could say anything, Kuriyama Midori spoke first: "Attorney Kiyoshi, it seems to be this izakaya."
Eri Kisaki turned her head and glanced at the shop name above, then nodded: "Okay, since we're here, let's go in first."
Xiaolan also emerged from a side path, jogged a few steps, and followed the others into the izakaya called Misa.
The owner of this izakaya, Masako Kameda, Shinji Usami's ex-wife, is washing dishes.
There was no one else in the store except for Guangyou and his friends.
After entering the room, Eri Kisaki directly told Masako her purpose for coming.
She wanted to know about Shinji Usami's situation.
Upon hearing the question, Changzi kept her head down and continued washing the dishes. After a while, she said indifferently, "I've long forgotten about that person."
Eri Kisaki wouldn't so easily believe Masako's one-sided story. Even though they were divorced, she believed that such a thing was still hard to forget.
"I've learned about the whole story of your separation, but Ms. Kameda..."
Before he could finish speaking, Changzi interrupted him, saying, "Masaki's death is all your fault. Why wasn't it you who died? He always says those two sentences whenever he's drunk."
Changzi's face was expressionless, as if she were talking about someone else's business.
But when Guangyou heard this, he felt a little sore.
How could she remain indifferent when her own child had an accident?
As a mother, it's hard to describe the hurt she felt when her beloved said those things to her.
Seeing that he could say such words without any emotion, Guangyou felt a little sorry for the person in front of him.
“We understand your feelings very well, but your husband is in a very difficult situation. As the saying goes, saving a life is better than building a seven-story pagoda, so we hope you can help him.”
Kuriyama Midori's attempts to persuade her were completely ineffective.
"I'm sorry, I don't want to think about anything related to him right now."
Changzi continued doing what she was doing, without showing any impatience on her face, as if nothing concerned her.
"The construction site where the murder occurred is nearby. If you know anything about what happened there..."
“I don’t know anything about this. If this is all you wanted to say, please go back now.”
The repeated questioning made Changzi a little impatient, and she directly told them to leave.
While Eri was hesitating, the door of the izakaya was pushed open.
Uncle Mori walked in amidst the surprised looks of the others.
Uncle Mori was slightly taken aback when he saw Eri Kisaki, and asked, "What are you all doing here?"
"Isn't it strange of you? What are you doing here?"
"I usually come here for a drink or two."
Changzi's gaze shifted between the two.
"So she's your friend."
"More than that, they're already married."
Guangyou mentally scoffed.
Uncle Mori seemed to not want others to know about his relationship with Eri Kisaki, so he stammered and made up an excuse before leaving.
Does he come to your place often?
After Uncle Mori left, Eri Kisaki immediately turned to Masako and asked her a question.
Changzi nodded slightly: "Mr. Mori usually comes to patronize my shop."
"Actually, that night..."
Changzi's unintentional remark immediately drew the attention of the others.
Guangyou yawned; the process here was a bit boring.
He's not like Conan, who's always ready to brainstorm.
Under Eri Kisaki's persistent questioning, Masako had no choice but to admit that she had seen her ex-husband that night, and that Shinji Usami had met with Uncle Mori.
This made Eri Kisaki's tightly furrowed brows relax.
After leaving the izakaya, Eri Kisaki planned to go to the office to ask Uncle Mori about the situation.
Eri sat at the table, slowly sipping her tea, waiting patiently for Uncle Mori to return.
"A glass of wine every day, and you'll be as happy as an immortal."
After waiting for a long time, Uncle Mori finally returned.
Judging from the fact that he was still humming a little tune, he was probably drunk again.
As soon as Uncle Mori opened the door, he was greeted by Ran's pretty face, which was covered with gloom.
"Why aren't you asleep yet?"
"You're one to talk! Where did you go drinking so late?"
"Is it really that different everywhere? You're becoming more and more like your mother."
Uncle Mori propped his head up with his hand and tilted his head to the side as he spoke.
"You can just tell her your opinion directly."
Ran turned her body to the side, allowing Uncle Mori to see Eri Kisaki drinking tea.
In an instant, Uncle Mori sobered up halfway and felt extremely embarrassed.
"The old problems haven't been corrected."
"Hmph, my affairs are none of your business."
Uncle Mori took off his coat and sat down cross-legged.
