Chapter 291 Satisfaction is actually very simple

Akemi and Kōyū talked a lot, from the trivial things that happened every day to Ai's daily life.

Kōyū has selective memory; he remembers every single thing related to Ai, every single day, though he can't recount all the details.

Every scene in his memories is something that Kwang-woo will cherish for a lifetime.

In this world, he experienced entirely new sensations he had never felt before.

After waiting for a long time, Ai returned carrying a lot of ingredients.

After Ai entered the room, she put the ingredients in the kitchen, then came out and said to Kousuke in an annoyed tone, "The kitchen is yours now, go ahead."

Guangyou nodded and got up to walk towards the kitchen.

The two sisters continued chatting, while Guangyou smiled as she prepared the ingredients in the kitchen.

The sound of the two sisters laughing and joking filled Guangyou's ears, which made him feel very content.

When you have someone at home waiting for you to come home, and pouring you a cup of hot tea when you arrive, money seems rather cheap compared to that.

Satisfaction is actually very simple; this is all you need.

Some people say that your mood while cooking can affect the taste of the dish. Whether it's true or not, Kwangyu doesn't know, but he knows he's taking it very seriously. He wants to present the two of them with a long-awaited meal.

The news that was told to Akemi was also a Valentine's Day gift from Kōyū. Although it was a little late, Akemi seemed very happy.

About an hour and a half later, Guangyou came out of the kitchen carrying dishes.

"Come on, come on, let's eat."

The atmosphere at the dinner table was still very pleasant; the three of them ate, chatted, and told jokes.

Guangyou didn't make a large quantity; it was just right for the three of them.

In such a joyful moment, the food and dishes were quickly finished.

"Ai, are you staying with Akemi-nee tonight?"

Is that alright?

"certainly."

-----------

After leaving the apartment building, Guangyou checked again to make sure the area was safe before finally leaving the vicinity.

It was getting late, so Kwangyu prepared to head back to his agency.

Given Conan's intelligence, the case should already be closed.

Kwang-yu stayed downstairs at the office for a while before going upstairs.

After lying in bed for a long time, Conan walked in.

“The files that my uncle had access to were all taken away and were only returned to the Metropolitan Police Department last night.”

Conan walked in, his expression serious.

Guangyou, lying on the bed, waved his hand and said, "I understand."

What kind of attitude is this?

Conan was somewhat annoyed by Kōyū's relaxed expression. "This is very likely the work of that organization, which means they might target Uncle and Ran!"

Guangyou sat up and looked at him seriously: "I know, but what can you do?"

"You don't know their stronghold yet, you don't know the composition of their forces, and you don't even have a list of their peripheral members, right?"

Conan fell silent, then nodded: "You're right, it seems like there's nothing I can do."

Conan swayed slightly and lay down weakly on the bed.

"I was saying I was a famous detective, and that I was so great, but it turns out I don't know anything and can't do anything."

"It's not your fault. You still need to watch yourself. Don't rush in to solve the problem on your own just because you get carried away. I've told you this many times."

Guangyou comforted him.

Conan nodded.

Kōyū knew that this preventative measure was not very effective, but he still wanted to discuss these things with Conan beforehand.

------

In a small alley downstairs from the office building, a man wearing a knitted hat slowly emerged from the shadows.

He took out a match and lit a cigarette. In the dim light of the match, the man saw a piece of paper on the ground.

There were a few lines of text written on the paper. After glancing at the office, the man squatted down. When he saw the words on the paper clearly, his pupils shrank sharply.

The man picked up the paper, and even though he was usually very calm, his expression changed slightly after seeing the title on the paper.

The paper read, “How have you been, Your Majesty?”

The first four characters of the few words were no different from the others, but the title that followed sent a chill down his spine.

"This handwriting isn't hers."

The man said intently, "Have they already completely tracked me down?"

"The more I look at it, the more it resembles the work of that person from last time."

He didn't believe the paper was written by the person he thought it was; it seemed more like the person who had planted a listening device in his car last time.

He guessed correctly; the person he was thinking of was lying comfortably in the office next to him.

"Dinner's ready!"

Xiao Lan's voice called out from outside the door, inviting everyone to dinner.

Although Guangyou had already eaten, his stomach told him he could still eat.

Uncle Maoli won the lottery, a rare occurrence, and he insisted on having steak that night. He's still showing it off to his friends outside.

Xiaolan always had a smile on her face, and Uncle Mori was unusually happy, so Xiaolan agreed to let him have a drink.

There was a steak on the table. Guangyou hadn't eaten it yet, but just from the presentation and color of the steak, you could tell that it was definitely not a high-end restaurant.

Xiaolan is very virtuous, gentle, and kind to people, which is why Guangyou is at ease. Of course, he knows who took the case file, and that person would not harm the angel in her eyes.

"How does it taste?" Xiaolan asked, taking off her apron and supporting herself with her hands.

"It's delicious, better than any restaurant outside."

Guangyou praised him sincerely.

Xiao Lan smiled and her eyes crinkled when she heard the praise, and then she started eating with everyone.
