Chapter 309 A Gift from Moriarty

"Ai, aren't you going to wear that outfit anymore?"

Kōyū looked at Ai, who had changed back into casual clothes, and asked curiously.

Ai shook her head: "It looks good, but it's too troublesome. I have to be careful about the hem of the skirt when I walk."

As the two were talking, the coachman drove the carriage to the door.

Upon arriving at the theater, Kōyū and Ai entered through the VIP entrance.

Moriarty had his own private box at the theater with a fantastic view.

Besides Kōyū and Ai, there was only one waiter at the door in the private room.

Whether you want red wine or have other needs, the waiter can help you.

Guangyou sat in a fabric VIP chair, shaking a glass of juice in his hand.

To be honest, Guangyou doesn't really think alcohol tastes that good. He rarely drinks, except when he wants to try drinking a can like those people in TV dramas who drown their sorrows.

There are quite a few people drinking red wine in the theater, but Guangyou is the only one drinking juice.

He might prefer plain water to fruit juice, and sometimes it tastes special.

Soon, the opera began, and the lead role was, of course, Kōyū, or rather, Irene Adler, arranged by Moriarty.

In the game assisted by Yusaku Kudo, this role is of course played by Yukiko Kudo.

Irene Adler became an opera singer perhaps because her lookalike, Yukiko Kudo, was also an actress.

Guangyou never thought he was a very refined person; he couldn't understand the appeal of opera.

If he could, Guangyou might just be a salted fish sitting in the VIP seat shouting "666".

Ai, on the other hand, listened with great interest, nodding occasionally in praise.

"You sang very well."

Ai spoke very softly, and with the music outside masking it, only Kouyu, who was also in the room, could hear her clearly.

"Yes, you sang very well."

Guangyou echoed with a serious expression.

"You don't understand, do you?"

Even though Ai had exposed him, Kousuke wasn't embarrassed. He calmly replied, "Yes, but I can feel the heart-wrenching story in this melodious song and magnificent atmosphere."

They might not understand what you're saying, but they're good at exaggerating. They just spout those generic, all-purpose phrases that are hard to fault.

"We should go now."

Kōyū glanced at the pocket watch fastened to his vest, stood up, took Ai's hand, and slowly walked outside.

He pushed open the door, nodded slightly to the waiter beside him who was bowing slightly, and walked straight out of the theater.

Just as I was about to leave, an explosion occurred in the theater.

Huge pieces of debris fell from above the theater.

However, Kōyū was not worried at all, he just quickened his pace slightly.

"Let's go."

After Kōyū and Ai got into the carriage, Kōyū said to the driver, "To Charlie Cross Station."

Another explosion occurred in the theater behind them; not everyone is so lucky.

There were casualties, and those who were unlucky were left there forever.

A huge explosion rang out over the city. People have a habit of watching a spectacle, and many people were whispering among themselves, asking what had happened.

The surge of people slowed the carriage's progress; even Moriarty wouldn't commit a crime without a reason.

If someone were to actually do such a thing, they wouldn't deserve to be called the Napoleon of the criminal world.

After walking for a while, Guangyou could see the station building.

"Ai, why don't you grab a coffee nearby? I'm going to finish the last task."

After settling Ai into a nearby coffee shop, Kōyū went into the station.

At this moment, there is only one train about to depart from the station, so the target is easy to find.

After boarding the train, Guangyou stayed in the last carriage used to transport red wine.

Leaning against the carriage, Guangyou used his authority to conjure up a glass of chilled juice.

He sipped his juice while checking the time on his pocket watch.

"arrive."

As he closed his pocket watch, he finished his juice, placed the glass aside, and stood up, slowly walking toward the carriage door.

The train slowly started moving, and Guangyou could clearly feel the train gradually speeding up.

Leaning against the railing at the connection between the carriages, Guangyou watched the night view rushing past him.

The evening breeze whistles by. In movies and TV dramas, this place is often where the main characters smoke and reflect on life.

It's also where many protagonists turn the tables on the boss on the train.

Conan and Hiroki are about to reach the final climax.

This was probably the most fun Hiroki had ever had. Having never played with friends since childhood, he had always longed to play with them.

"Then let him have more fun."

Guangyou grinned.

He planned to give Hiroki a gift as a way of thanking him for allowing Kōyū to be an NPC in the game.

If the two switched positions, Kousuke would definitely kick Hiroki out to prevent him from affecting the game.

The timing of gift-giving is crucial; the right timing brings a pleasant surprise.

While waiting for the right moment, Guangyou kept blowing cold air at the connection between the carriages.

He didn't know why anyone would build train tracks on the edge of a cliff; perhaps it was because it was a game, or perhaps it was because they were confident.

The bottomless cliff did look rather eerie.

The approach of the cliff foreshadowed the final climax. Guangyou shook his slightly sore hand that had been leaning against the railing and slowly climbed up the stairs next to the carriage.

Standing on higher ground, the wind was stronger.

People with lighter weights might not even be able to stand up in this wind speed.
