Time passed by, and the group still hadn't made a decision. Guangyou wasn't in a hurry either, gazing at the night view as if nothing had happened.
Guangyou's fingers tapped rhythmically on the fence.
Seven minutes later, the bell rang for the first time.
At 9:45, it rang a second time.
At 9:53, Conan spoke.
"I choose the first option; I need to catch Jack the Ripper."
Kouyu wasn't surprised by Conan's choice, because Conan had already realized that this was a game, but he needed to consider reality.
Kōyū glanced at him: "Have you decided?"
Just as Conan was about to confirm, Holmes reached out and stopped him, his expression serious, as if facing death: "I choose the third one."
There is no third option.
Kōyū adjusted his hat, looked up, and gazed at him with amusement.
Holmes shook his head and calmly said, "Yes, the third option is for me to exchange myself. Isn't your goal to defeat me?"
"I'll trade myself for Jack and this city."
After hearing his choice, Guangyou didn't say anything, just leaned against the railing and looked at him.
Holmes and Kōyū stared at each other.
After a long pause, Guangyou nodded: "As you wish. However, I just want to find an opponent. There's no need to deal with you now. Let that child come with me."
Guangyou pointed at Hiroki: "Don't worry, we won't do anything to him."
"good."
Hiroki said calmly.
Seeing that things were not going as he had chosen, Jack became furious and pulled out a dagger from his pocket to stab Guangyou.
"Since that's the case, I'll drag you down with me!"
Kōyū smiled calmly. If he really were Moriarty, the situation might be different, but he wasn't.
In this situation, if you are not confident, then retreat and look for another opportunity.
If you are confident, the best strategy is to find an opportunity to get close and seize the enemy's weapon.
Retreat is impossible; even if Guangyou retreats, the top of the tower doesn't offer him much space.
Dodging the thrust, Guangyou seized the opportunity to close the distance and punched Jack's wrist.
Having weapons also limited the attack range to some extent.
This is similar to the game. If a ranged mage kills an assassin who gets close to him instantly, it will definitely cause a small disturbance in the game.
Conversely, it's only natural that an assassin could kill a mage instantly at close range.
His wrist was struck, and even though Jack didn't want to, the dagger fell from his hand.
He kicked the dagger that had fallen to the ground away, and at the same time, Guangyou slammed his knee into Jack's stomach.
The moment Jack cried out in pain, Kwang-woo grabbed his hand and threw him over his shoulder.
The place wasn't that big, and it was already a bit crowded with just a few people here. Guangyou didn't even notice and threw him over the railing.
Watching him fall, Guangyou reached out to straighten his clothes, picked up the hat that had fallen to the ground during the fight, and put it back on his head. His face was expressionless, as if he had just swatted a fly.
"Let's go."
Kōyū bypassed Holmes and Conan and went straight downstairs.
Suddenly he remembered something, took a few steps back, peeked out and said, "Congratulations on clearing the game."
They returned to the bottom of the tower with Hiroki, and the atmosphere between them was quite pleasant as they walked on the stone-paved path.
"How was the game?"
Guangyou turned his head and asked.
The surrounding environment gradually changed. Gradually, the people on the street disappeared, and the buildings vanished. Except for the stone-paved road the two had walked on, everything else was replaced by endless darkness.
Hideki Moroboshi also reverted to his original appearance as Hiroki Sawada.
"I had a very satisfying time."
Twelve-year-old Hiroki had a complex expression on his face that even adults didn't have.
Even if you lose this game, you wouldn't actually do that, would you?
The two stopped in their tracks. Kōyū looked at Hiroki beside him with a playful expression.
"Indeed, I just want them to know that they need to change themselves and can't rely solely on the power of their ancestors. I want them to grow."
Hiroki nodded, without denying it.
"Hiroki, we've only known each other for a short time, would you like to be friends with me?"
Kōyū crouched down and looked intently at Hiroki.
Hiroki paused for a moment, and after a while, his eyes welled up with tears: "Of course, I'm very grateful to you for being able to have such a crazy time in the end, but it's impossible for me to play a game with you guys in real life now."
Guangyou's lips curled slightly, and he raised an eyebrow: "It's okay, just don't forget me."
With that, Kōyū extended his little finger and said to Hiroki, "Let's pinky swear. If you forget, you're a puppy."
Hiroki smiled and extended his little finger as well: "By the way, I will send you the gift soon, remember to check it."
"Alright, I should go now. You should go and talk to that guy who cleared the level."
Guangyou got up, his figure gradually disappeared, and darkness returned to his eyes.
The next second, in a sensory sense, Kōyū opened his eyes.
As the eggshells of fifty cocoons were opened simultaneously, the adults in the audience, who had been anxiously watching, rushed onto the stage to check if their children were alright.
Guangyou removed the device from his head and jumped out of the cocoon.
"Ah, it's gotten smaller again. It feels so strange."
Guangyou clenched his fists and stretched his legs to loosen up his muscles.
"You're having a lot of fun."
Ai's calm voice rang out beside Kousuke. She looked him up and down and nodded, "He looks better now."
