Chapter 315 Confession

Kōyū said with some regret, "I regret not going to Aizuya last time in Osaka."

Takoyaki is said to have been invented by the owner of this shop, Endo Ryukichi. Originally, he simply added meat, konjac, and other ingredients to a batter of wheat flour, fried it, and then sold it.

It was later improved into the takoyaki we know today, which seems to have a history of several decades.

He hadn't eaten at Aizuya, but this place's food was indeed quite good. Even if there was a difference, it shouldn't be too significant.

A serving of takoyaki wasn't much, and we finished it quickly.

After eating too much of the sauce on the meatballs, Guangyou felt it was a bit too much without anything to go with it.

Although his stomach was empty, Guangyou didn't plan to eat any more.

The police car was already parked outside the building, and Guangyou took the elevator back to the 21st floor.

As soon as I went upstairs, I saw Heiji holding a bottle of wine.

"Heiji, what kind of alcohol are you holding?"

Guangyou walked over to him with the snacks, glanced at him, and said in a slightly different tone, "Fino Shirley."

"Do you recognize this wine?"

Heiji looked at Kōyū with a puzzled expression.

Guangyou simply nodded and didn't say anything more: "Let's go."

Following Heiji into the deceased's house, Kōyū sat down in a chair, took out some takoyaki, and ate it in small bites.

"Officer, the three of us came here because we said we were going to conduct a crime scene investigation."

"But now that foreign woman is drinking in Takai's room, what's going on?"

"We demand a reasonable explanation!"

The three people who came out of Takai's room earlier had some complaints.

I don’t know if it’s because the status of the Japanese police has been suppressed too much or what, but anyone dares to yell at the police.

"Can you three be quiet for a second? Stop your incessant chatter, okay?"

While eating takoyaki, Guangyou frowned and shouted at the three of them, "This must be at the behest of the police. Do the police need to inform you before doing anything?"

"How dare you talk like that, brat? Don't you know any respect?"

One of the men, named Kawakami, shouted at Kōyū, "Didn't your family teach you anything?"

Guangyou curled his lip: "Respect is mutual. You're still suspects. Didn't your family teach you to cooperate with the police?"

Kawakami was rendered speechless by Kōyū's words.

Guangyou felt inexplicably choked up and turned back to continue eating his takoyaki.

Eating faster and faster can easily lead to choking.

"Cough...cough..."

Guangyou pounded his chest and swallowed the food with difficulty.

Suddenly, he paused, gave a self-deprecating laugh, and made a decision in his heart.

Having figured things out, he felt much better.

After he finished his portion, the case was almost over.

The prisoner was the one who jumped the most enthusiastically, Chuan Sheng.

But Guangyou noticed something different.

The case was successfully solved because Takai's phone was of very good quality; it still worked after falling from the 21st floor. Otherwise, the case would have been hastily closed due to a lack of evidence.

She genuinely didn't believe that someone would deliberately take photos there just to show others where her boyfriend lived.

Guangyou shook his head. As for the relationship between that woman and Chuan Sheng, he didn't want to get involved.

If the woman is the murderer, perhaps Kwang-yu would even help the police.

The woman betrayed Takai. She might know about the case, or she might think it's a joke. There's no evidence to prove she was an accomplice, so there's no point in telling her.

The police were doing a final cleanup of the scene when Conan and Heiji, having solved the case, prepared to leave.

"Kuangyou, aren't you leaving?"

Conan looked at Kōyū, who hadn't gotten up, and asked in confusion.

"Isn't Ms. Judy going to treat us to dinner? I'm starving."

Guangyou looked completely at ease.

"Didn't you eat takoyaki?"

Conan pointed to the empty box on the table and said, "It's getting late, we should go."

Judy waved her hand with a smile: "It's okay, Conan, you and your friends go back. Kousuke will stay here with me tonight, I'm hungry too."

Conan's gaze lingered between Kousuke and Jodie.

Suddenly he raised an eyebrow: "Alright, this time I'll finally see you get your comeuppance."

Guangyou knew what he meant, but he was also a little helpless. He waved his hand and said, "It's okay, it's okay. You should go early. I still need to have a good meal."

Before they could finish speaking, Conan and Heiji left quite consciously.

"Let's go, Guangyou, there's a really good restaurant nearby."

Judy's red lips curled slightly, her fingers resting on her cheek, and she winked at Kōyū with one eye, "Eat as much as you like~"

Guangyou smiled and nodded, then followed.

"A woman who can act is terrifying."

Looking at Judy's retreating figure ahead, Kōyū couldn't help but sigh.

That shop is nearby; it's a very ordinary Western restaurant.

It looks quite ordinary, but the fact that it's so crowded shows that it's not so ordinary after all.

Judy seemed to be a regular customer; after exchanging a few words with the owner, she settled the issue of her seat.

After sitting down, Judy left the task of ordering food to Kōyū.

I casually ordered two medium-rare filet mignons and some side dishes like fries, and that was it.

While waiting for the food, Jodie looked at Kōyū and asked, "Kōyū, do you and Conan usually play video games?"

"No, these video games are too boring."

Guangyou shrugged. "Only the cocoon from a while ago was somewhat interesting."

"Cocoon, what a pity, I am not qualified."
