"Wash your hands and get ready to eat."
Guangyou, wearing an apron and carrying a plate of food, came out of the kitchen.
The two sisters finished their private conversation and got up to wash their hands and eat.
After Guangyou brought the dishes to the table, he took out some juice from the refrigerator and poured it for the three of them. Then he sat down and waited for the two of them to sit down.
Looking at the table laden with dishes, Mingmei clasped her hands together and exclaimed with a smile, "The dishes today are plentiful; it seems we're in for a treat!"
Guangyou nodded, accepting Mingmei's praise, and explained, "It's a rare get-together, so of course it has to be nice."
Sensing Ai's gaze, Kousuke reached out and touched his cheek in confusion, asking, "Ai, is there something on my face? I feel like you two are looking at me strangely."
Ai looked away and shook her head: "No, I'm eating."
Just to be on the safe side, Guangyou got up and went to the restroom. After making sure there were no food stains on his face, he came out of the restroom and sat back down at the dining table.
The dinner party didn't end until after 6 p.m., and as soon as she finished eating, Mingmei got up to clear the dishes off the table.
"Let me do it. It's not easy for the two sisters to get together, so let me do it."
Guangyou smiled at the two of them, then bent down, stacked the bowls together, and carried the large stack of bowls into the kitchen.
Akemi watched as Kōyū's figure disappeared into the kitchen, then turned her head, intending to speak to Ai, only to find that Ai was no longer in her seat.
...
Guangyou stood in front of the sink washing the dishes, his movements very slow.
Just then, Kōyū heard a noise coming from the kitchen doorway. He turned around and saw Ai coming into the kitchen to get a towel. He said, "Ai, go chat with Akemi-nee, I'll clean up."
"I'd like to help you out; I'll go and clear the table for you."
Ai shook her head, picked up a towel, and was about to walk out the door when Kōyū reached out and stopped her.
She looked up at Guangyou with her jewel-like eyes and said earnestly, "I want to help you with some housework."
Guangyou sincerely said, "The biggest thing you can do to help me is to chat with Mingmei. As long as you are happy, I will be more motivated to do things."
The two looked at each other for a while, then Ai put down the towel, gave him a forced smile, and walked out of the kitchen.
Guangyou chuckled self-deprecatingly, shrugged, and then turned back to continue washing the dishes.
He's washing the dishes more slowly now than before.
...
Akemi looked at Ai, who was walking out of the kitchen looking sullen, and asked with concern, "Did he bully you?"
Ai shook her head, looking a little down, and plopped down next to Akemi: "He won't let me help."
Understanding what Mitsuyu meant, Akemi took Ai's hand and comforted her, "Don't worry about it. He just didn't want you to take up our time with housework. You're leaving tomorrow, and we don't know when we'll see each other again."
Just as Ai was about to say something, Kōyū suddenly poked his head out from the kitchen and said, "Ai, could you go downstairs and buy me a bottle of dish soap? We're out."
"good."
Ai didn't tell Akemi what she was about to say. She quickly got up, took some money, and went out the door with small, quick steps.
Judging from the smile on her face, she seemed to be in a better mood.
Helpless, Akemi could only shrug. At this point, she could only play a supporting role; the real key to solving the problem lay with the two people involved.
"Their relationship is so complicated, yet so simple." Mingmei's gaze gradually drifted away, as if she were thinking of someone, and she asked herself, "But whose relationship is always smooth sailing?"
Hearing Akemi's murmur from the kitchen, Kōyū nodded in agreement and muttered to himself, "They were forced, but I brought this upon myself."
Guangyou reached out, picked up the supposedly empty bottle of dish soap, opened the cap, turned it upside down, and shook it twice.
The clear, viscous dish soap slowly flowed out, and the slow pace gradually made Guangyou lose patience.
I turned on the tap, filled the dish soap bottle with water, put the cap on, shook it to mix the dish soap with the water, then opened the cap again and poured the mixture down the drain.
Guangyou closed the lid, threw the dish soap bottle into the trash can, and muttered to himself, "You have to deal with the mess you made..."
The sink was empty; the plates had been washed and were neatly stacked to the side.
Guangyou put the plate back into the sink, then leaned against the edge of the counter, closed his eyes, and let out a long sigh.
...
A few minutes later, Ai pushed open the apartment door and walked in, carrying a bag in her hand.
"I'm back."
Reaching the kitchen door, Ai took a bottle of dish soap out of her bag and placed it on the counter: "Your package has arrived."
Guangyou turned around, picked up the dish soap from the table, waved it at her, and smiled, "Thank you, delivery lady."
Xiao Ai raised an eyebrow: "You're welcome. Just remember to give me a tip later."
"I'm rather poor, I can't afford any tips." Guangyou pretended to ponder, then a flirtatious smile appeared on his face. "A kiss as a tip, would you like it?"
"I'll come and get it when I need it later. If I don't, you can keep it yourself."
Ai smiled at Kousuke, then sat back on the sofa and continued chatting with Akemi while watching the same old TV programs.
Guangyou opened the plastic seal of the dish soap, squeezed a little onto the plate, turned on the tap, pulled out one of the plates from the stack, and placed it under the tap to rinse it.
