Chapter 391 I only have my sister left... and you.

The curtains weren't drawn tightly enough; there was a small gap in the middle, through which the morning sunlight shone, casting a white line on the sofa.

Kwang-woo, who had fallen asleep leaning against the back of the sofa, slowly opened his sleepy eyes.

Just as I was about to get up, I remembered that Ai hadn't gone back to her room to sleep last night.

When Guangyou woke up, he subconsciously smacked his lips. He hadn't slept well last night. In order not to disturb Ai's sweet dreams, he hadn't moved at all since last night, at most just shaking his head slightly to move his neck.

Guangyou can no longer feel his thigh; it's completely numb.

He lowered his head and then smiled. Although his head was throbbing slightly, the sight before him made him feel much better.

Ai lay on Kousuke's lap with her eyes closed, her soft brown hair cascading down her delicate face, with many strands already falling onto Kousuke's legs.

Ai, who was asleep, had a very gentle expression, showing no trace of her usual cold personality. Perhaps it was because of Kōyū that she had shed that thin layer of disguise.

Those beautiful eyes, like the world's finest gems, were hidden beneath her eyelids, with only her long, curled eyelashes visible above.

Below her eyes is a pert nose and a small cherry-like mouth. Of British and Japanese descent, she inherited most of the fair skin and sculpted, delicate features typical of the British.

You can't tell what your past life was like through a screen, but in real life, the difference becomes very obvious.

Compared to those who said Conan and Ai looked alike in their previous lives, that was all nonsense. Conan is of pure Japanese descent, while Ai is of mixed British and Japanese descent. The resemblance is only due to the art style of the manga and anime; in reality, they are not alike at all.

It's usually difficult to watch this closely. On one hand, there are too many people around and Ai is shy, and on the other hand, there are other people watching her: Ms. Kobayashi at school, Ran at home, and Professor Agasa's family.

Professor Agasa isn't one to gossip; he's not that kind of person. But there's Conan, who often drops by. Conan's gossipy soul, hidden beneath that facade, is no less than that of a woman.

Taking advantage of this brief moment, Kōyū slowed his breathing and tried to make his movements as subtle as possible, so that Ai would not wake up while giving him more time to admire her face.

Guangyou admires the delicate and three-dimensional features of Europeans and Americans. Compared to them, there are far fewer three-dimensional features in Asia, but those with three-dimensional features are generally good-looking, with very few exceptions.

He still remembers that during his student days, having the next generation be of mixed race was one of his little dreams.

It's not that Asian women don't meet aesthetic standards; on the contrary, Asian beauties are just as stunning as European and American beauties. It's just that the success rate of mixed-race individuals improving the appearance of their offspring is simply too high.

Ai, who was lying on Kyou's lap, rose and fell slowly with each breath.

She sleeps very quietly, and her posture hasn't changed much from yesterday to now. Fortunately, it hasn't changed much, otherwise Guangyou wouldn't be able to sleep.

Even so, he could still clearly feel the sounds outside while he was sleeping, such as when Mingmei got up to use the bathroom around three in the morning.

He could wake up at any time, but his brain told him to sleep now, so he didn't wake up.

The door to Mingmei's room slowly opened a crack, and then the door was slowly opened, the sound kept very low.

Then Mingmei slowly walked out. She had seen this scene when she got up to use the bathroom last night, and because of that, she tried not to disturb the two of them's sleep since there was no noise outside.

As Akemi stepped outside, she glanced instinctively at Kōyū, only to find him staring intently at the sleeping Ai, his smile pure and untainted by any lustful thoughts, as if he were simply appreciating a beautiful scene.

She felt a sense of familiarity with that look, only it was more subtle and not as direct as Guangyou's.

She didn't disturb them, but was even more careful, trying not to make a sound.

Guangyou didn't notice that Mingmei had come out; his eyes were only on her delicate sleeping face.

As for distracting thoughts? They're definitely gone now.

A white line formed by the sunlight remained on her face. Within that white line, Guangyou seemed to be able to see dust particles in the air. These dust particles acted like a natural barrier, adding a touch of haziness to the beautiful scene before him.

A few minutes later, Kōyū noticed Akemi coming out of the restroom.

"morning."

Guangyou didn't say anything, he just mouthed something.

Akemi nodded, smiled at him, then gave him a thumbs-up and mouthed, "Great job."

Guangyou was very happy to receive encouragement from her family, but in order to show his composure, he simply smiled and nodded to Mingmei, which was considered his agreement.

Akemi rubbed her hair and gestured as if to ask, "What do you guys eat for breakfast?" She figured that Guangyou probably wouldn't be able to prepare anything in this state.

Guangyou shook his head, indicating that he was not hungry and did not need anything prepared for him.

They say beauty is food for the eyes, but it could also be that I ate too much last night. However, Guangyou prefers the former.

When Akemi saw that Kousuke had finished talking to her and then turned back to stare at Ai, she felt a sense of helplessness and a strange envy welled up in her heart.

"I wish he could be like that someday."

This idea is just something I've been thinking about; I don't know how long it will take to reach that goal.

At times like these, she would occasionally have the thought of taking the same medicine, but shrinking was an isolated case; it would be ridiculous if she died out completely.
