"Xiaolan seems to be in a good mood today."
Guangyou ate his breakfast while watching Xiaolan, who was busy at work.
Xiao Lan had a faint smile on her face, humming a little tune, and her eyes were full of tenderness.
"Yes, it's fine."
Conan casually agreed. He knew why Ran was like this, and seeing the smile on Ran's face made him much happier.
Remembering what Guangyou had told him before, he became even more excited.
After finishing breakfast, Xiaolan said goodbye and went out.
Kōyū and Conan followed closely behind and went out, while Uncle Mori was still in the office reading the newspaper. Yoko Okino had a concert broadcast today, and he got up early to sit in front of the TV to cheer her on.
Today, Ayumi and the others said they wanted to go see a movie called "Gomera 2". Since I was bored at home anyway, I decided to go.
...
"Conan, you're here."
The moment Ayumi saw Conan, her big eyes lit up, making Genta Mitsuhiko, who was standing next to her, extremely jealous.
"cut..."
Mitsuhiko glanced at Conan, pursed his lips, and said, "So what if he's a little handsome and a little smarter?"
Genta nodded frantically in agreement: "That's right, that's right, I don't know what's so good about it besides these features."
Guangyou shook his head helplessly: "The air is thick with the smell of sourness."
Ai Haibara also attended the movie screening. She stood to the side, hands behind her back, watching the reactions of the others with a faint smile on her lips.
When she saw Guangyou, she didn't move, but her gaze remained fixed on him.
After marveling at Genta and Mitsuhiko's precociousness, Kōyū turned his head to look at Ai on the other side.
Their eyes met in mid-air, but Ai retreated, her gaze darting around before finally turning her head to look in the other direction.
Kōyū chuckled, stepped forward, walked up to Ai, and said, "It's been several days. Did you miss me?"
Ai turned around and stared at Kousuke, saying calmly, "Why would I miss you?"
In this eye contact confrontation, Kōyū was the first to retreat. His gaze drifted downwards, and he coughed lightly, placing his fist near his mouth.
Looking at the delicate face so close to his, Guangyou felt his cheeks burning and felt a rare moment of shyness.
Seeing this, Ai smiled again, her eyes full of smugness. She crossed her arms and looked at Kyou, then asked, "You haven't seen me for several days, did you miss me?"
Guangyou looked up, the hint of shyness gone, and nodded: "Some."
"Hey, what are you two chatting about?" Conan greeted them. "It's time to go. Our tickets are for 1 p.m., so we need to grab lunch outside."
"Unfortunately, there are people here."
Kōyū chuckled mischievously and extended his hand to Ai.
"What can you do if no one's around?" Ai chuckled lightly, then suddenly asked, "Have you noticed anything different about me today?"
Guangyou looked him up and down, then shook his head hesitantly: "I only noticed that he's become cuter, but I haven't really noticed any other changes."
"All right."
Ai shrugged, smiled, and walked past Kyou to Ayumi's side.
Guangyou was slightly stunned and frowned in confusion, but he didn't come up with any useful information. Seeing the group of people who were about to walk towards the cinema, he stepped forward and followed them.
On the way, Ai and Ayumi walked side by side, with Ayumi's shoulders swaying slightly from time to time, and bursts of cheerful laughter emanating from her.
Mitsuyu temporarily put what had just happened behind him and walked with Conan, Genta, and the other boys.
The movie theater wasn't far, but the group decided to have lunch at a nearby restaurant first.
...
Kōyū and Ai were not sitting together. Kōyū's table was full of boys, while Ai and Ayumi sat at the table next to him.
"I want eel rice."
Genta's words left Kōyū speechless. He asked, "Genta, don't you ever get tired of eating eel rice? You eat eel rice every day."
"I never get tired of it, but it really is time for a change of pace." Genta thought for a moment and said solemnly, "No, eel rice is still the best."
Guangyou slumped to the side, both amused and exasperated: "I just can't do anything with you."
Genta scratched his head and said, "Hehe, eel rice is one of the best foods in the world."
After complaining about Genta, Kousuke shifted his gaze to Ai's table on the right.
Ai and Ayumi were still chatting, with Ayumi doing most of the talking and Ai usually just agreeing.
Under the sunlight, Ai's hand, resting on the table, reflected the light.
Kōyū squinted and looked closely; it seemed that Ai was wearing a ring.
There was some distance between them, so Guangyou couldn't see them clearly.
Ayumi also noticed the ring and exclaimed, "Haibara-san, your ring is so pretty!"
Ai smiled gently and said, "It does look pretty. Anyway, it was a gift from someone else, and I thought it looked nice, so I put it on."
Ayumi asked curiously, "Was it a gift from Kousuke?"
Ai nodded: "Mm."
"That's great." Ayumi said, looking at Kousuke's direction, or rather, at Conan who was leaning back in his chair, and murmured, "I'll give Conan one too later."
Guangyou was close to them and had good hearing, so he naturally heard their conversation clearly.
At this moment, he understood what Ai had meant earlier; the ring was clearly a gift from the shop owner.
"But Haibara-san, wearing a ring on your left hand, not your ring finger, isn't that... um..."
