In the evening, two small figures stood in front of Professor Agasa's house.
Kōyū looked at Ai, who was standing with her hands behind her back, smiled, reached out and ruffled her hair, his eyes full of affection: "Remember to go to bed early tonight, don't stay up too late."
"Um."
Ai shook off Kousuke's hand and said with some disdain, "You're so long-winded."
Guangyou withdrew his hand, put it in his pocket, and smiled as he said to her, "I'm only nagging you."
"Mmm..."
Ai's eyes were full of laughter, but her words were full of disdain, "You should go back, I'm going back too."
With a mischievous grin, Guangyou asked, "How about I stay and sleep on the sofa tonight?"
"If you dare."
Ai suddenly smiled and said to Kousuke, "Want to come?"
Guangyou chuckled: "Since you've extended such a warm invitation, it wouldn't be right for me to refuse."
"go."
Xiao Ai spat, pushed Guangyou, and scolded, "You rascal."
After saying that, she opened the door and went inside without looking back.
Guangyou didn't follow. He stood there and watched the door close before a smile appeared on his lips. He stood there for a few seconds before turning around and leaving.
After he left, the door opened again. Ai leaned against the doorframe, watching the direction Kousuke had gone, a faint smile on her face...
...
Back at the office, Mitsuichi pushed open the door and saw Conan lying on the bed, looking utterly dejected.
Conan turned his head to look after hearing the door open and replied, "You're back?"
"Um."
Kōyū closed the door and watched Conan's expression with great interest.
Conan's expression is hilarious. On that face, Kōyū saw a mixture of conflict, regret, and guilt.
Doesn't that sound a bit far-fetched?
Actually, these were all guesses made by Kwang-yu himself.
Conan certainly had no idea what Kōyū was thinking; his feelings at that moment were indeed quite complicated.
He actually did something as unbelievable as taking the blame for himself.
Hopefully, once everything is back to normal, Xiaolan will be able to forget all of this...
That was the only thought in his mind right now. As for Guangyou who had returned, although he was still a little uncomfortable about being tricked, he was too weak to curse him.
Anyway, you can't win an argument or a fight.
I'm so tired...
Kōyū plopped down next to Conan and asked with a smile, "Why do you look so miserable? Did you get scolded?"
"Sigh..." Conan sighed and explained, "When I came back just now, I was scolded by a mixed group of men and women. If I hadn't used Shinichi's identity as an excuse, this matter probably wouldn't be over yet."
Guangyou felt a surge of curiosity and asked, "What excuse?"
“I said that Shinichi was the one who defused the bomb, and since Shinichi didn’t want to show his face, he conspired with the police to make me appear on TV to take the blame for him.”
Thinking of this, Conan stretched out his hands and rubbed his hair, shouting, "I should have known better than to go on TV! Those damn reporters!"
He silently shifted the blame onto the reporter...
"What does this have to do with reporters? If you don't like it, then just don't go on the show."
Mitsuyu could only silently despise Conan's attempt to shift the blame, while raising his right hand to give Conan the middle finger, saying, "Nobody's holding a knife to your throat and forcing you to do an interview, and I see you have a bright smile on TV."
Suddenly noticing his phone vibrating in his pocket, Kōyū switched hands and continued giving Conan the middle finger, while reaching into his pocket with his right hand to take out his phone.
After seeing the phone number clearly, Guangyou lowered his hand that had been making the middle finger gesture, smiled, and asked into the phone, "Hey, did you miss me?"
Ai's voice came through: "Why would I miss you? I just came to check on the injured person's condition."
Guangyou reached out and placed his hand on the bruise on his chest. After feeling it for a moment, he said, "It's fine now. Apart from looking a little scary, it's nothing."
"Okay, that's good."
The two suddenly fell into a brief silence.
Guangyou broke the silence first, leaning back against the pillows to find a comfortable position, and said softly, "You don't miss me, but I think I do miss you a little."
"Um..."
After responding, Ai's tone softened, and she seemed a little shy. "Actually, I've missed you a little too."
A happy smile appeared on Guangyou's face as he said, "There's still a lot of time ahead of us, so please don't dislike me then."
"uh-huh."
Ai let out a nasal sound, and a moment later, she said to Kōyū in her uniquely cool voice, "Then I'm going to sleep first."
"Yes, sweet dreams."
"You should get some rest too."
After hanging up the phone, Guangyou stretched and let out a sound of contentment.
On the other side, Conan wrapped himself tightly in his blanket, with only his head peeking out.
Conan felt exhausted. He sighed and muttered, "Honestly, they're always showing off their love."
As if remembering something, Conan suddenly sat up and asked Kouyu, "Do you think I should just confess to Ran?"
Guangyou, who was about to get out of bed to take a cold shower, paused upon hearing this and instead sat cross-legged on the bed: "Are you serious?"
“Actually, I don’t think now is the right time.” Conan also crossed his legs and pinched his chin. “I really want to confess as Shinichi, instead of hiding behind the screen and using a cold voice changer.”
Guangyou nodded in agreement and said, "That's definitely true. Xiaolan definitely likes you. It would be such a pity if you confessed through a screen and then couldn't do the things you'd normally do after confessing."
