With a lunchbox in one hand and clothes in the other, Kōyū turned to Ai beside him and said, "Ai, let's go?"
"Okay." Ai nodded and said to him, "Wait for me, I'm going to change my clothes."
A few minutes later, Ai, having changed her clothes, walked up to Kousuke and said, "Let's go."
The clothes Ai was wearing were none other than the outfit they had bought together yesterday.
"Then I'll change mine too."
Guangyou isn't that particular; it's just a hoodie. He just puts it on after putting down his lunchbox.
After Conan accidentally saw what the two of them looked like after changing their clothes, Conan smirked and walked straight out the door.
...
"She's going too?"
Uncle Mori looked down at the two children dressed in the same style of clothes, considered for a moment, and nodded. "Alright, just behave yourselves over there."
"You two have a very good relationship."
Xiaolan's gaze swept between the two men, a smile playing on her lips. How could she not see the meaning behind their clothes?
"Um."
Guangyou nodded firmly, "Absolutely."
Ai blushed slightly and stepped on Kyou's foot, signaling him to stop talking.
Having had the same feeling when she was a child, she didn't say much, but quietly took out her phone and took two photos of Guangyou and Xiao Ai.
Such a heartwarming scene, how could I not share it with someone?
After getting into the car, Xiaolan immediately opened Yuanzi's text message interface, attached a picture, quickly typed a message, and sent it.
Ran quickly received Sonoko's reply. After reading Sonoko's reply, she couldn't help but chide, "Sonoko is really something."
The phone screen displayed a line of small text: "Lan, remember to take a lot of pictures. These two look so sweet together. I have to keep them safe for my Guangyou."
If Guangyou saw this, he would probably say something like, "When did I become yours?"
However, after a moment, Kōyū will probably say something like, "It seems that the Suzuki family's kids are quite good too. That money is really... tsk."
"However, I'm quite curious too."
Ran blushed slightly at the thought and secretly glanced at Kouyu and Ai sitting in the back seat.
Ai sat diagonally opposite her, on the right side of the car.
At this moment, Ai's eyes were looking out the window, while Kōyū was leaning on Ai's shoulder with his eyes closed, seemingly resting.
“I’m just concerned about his development.”
"Yes, that's right!"
After deceiving herself for a moment, Xiaolan secretly took a picture of the two of them in their current state with her phone and sent it to Yuanzi.
Sonoko seemed to be deliberately waiting in front of the screen for a reply, and her message was answered a few seconds later.
"The two kids are actually quite good. They already know how to wear matching outfits. They're much better than you and Shinichi were when you were little. Speaking of Shinichi, he was really something back then. He wasn't straightforward at all."
Ran was both amused and exasperated. Why was she suddenly dragged into this? But what Sonoko said made sense.
Shaking her head helplessly, Xiaolan replied casually before putting away her phone and turning to look out the window.
As evening approached, a few clouds appeared in the sky, further highlighting the dazzling beauty of the sunset.
Golden sunlight streamed softly through the car window onto Ai's face. She squinted at the fleeting scenery outside, then glanced at Kōyū, who was resting his head on her shoulder, before smiling gently.
...
As the golden afterglow faded, the group finally arrived at their destination.
A large crowd had gathered in front of the villa, and several cars were parked there.
Upon seeing Uncle Mori's arrival, a man stepped forward, shook Uncle Mori's hand, and said with a smile, "Thank you, Mr. Mori, for taking the time to come. It is truly an honor for our program team."
"No, no."
Uncle Mori scratched the back of his head and said "humbly," "After all, the program fee is very generous. I'm just an ordinary person, and it's an honor for you to invite me."
The man chuckled and released Uncle Mori's hand, saying, "Mr. Mori is too modest. It is an honor for our program team to have the famous detective Kogoro Mori."
The two grown men exchanged a knowing smile, everything understood without a word.
Hearing the two men flattering each other, Kwang-woo wanted to laugh, but he was trained to hold it in and didn't laugh out loud.
He rested on Ai's shoulder for a while in the car. Although he didn't fall asleep, he did feel much better.
Kōyū looked at Ai and frowned. He saw that Ai was rubbing her left shoulder, which was where he had just leaned.
Seeing this, Guangyou walked up to her, bowing slightly, and asked, "Does your shoulder hurt? Right..."
Before he could finish speaking, Ai placed a finger in front of Kousuke's lips, indicating that he didn't need to continue.
Then, in her usual calm voice, she said to Guangyou, "Don't say that word. This is my own choice."
Seeing Guangyou's still guilty look, she smiled faintly: "But you have to make it up to me."
Guangyou smiled, but the smile looked forced: "What compensation? Just tell me."
Ai placed her hands on Kousuke's shoulders, her expression resolute, and her cheeks slightly flushed as she said, "From now on, these two places are my private restricted areas. No one but me can approach them."
Kōyū smiled, this time a genuine smile. He placed his hands on Ai's shoulders and closed his eyes slightly to make his face look gentler.
