Ai took the bento box out of the car and handed it to Kōyū, saying, "Your bento box."
Guangyou took the bento box, glanced around, and asked, "Shall we eat in the car? Or at the villa?"
Ai tapped her chin with her finger, glanced around, thought for a moment, and said, "How about we stay outside the villa?"
"Eating a sandwich while enjoying the snow scenery..." Guangyou thought for a moment and then nodded: "That sounds good too."
After they settled down, the two walked together to the front of the villa and sat down on the steps.
Guangyou plopped down and immediately opened the bento box.
First, a rich aroma of blueberry jam wafted over him, and then he saw four sandwiches neatly arranged in the lunchbox.
Just smelling this aroma made Guangyou feel his stomach starting to protest.
"Try it." Ai glanced at the sandwich in the bento box and said, "It's been sitting here for a long time, I wonder if it tastes different."
Kōyū picked one up, took a small bite, chewed it carefully, and swallowed it. Then he turned his head and nodded to Ai: "Delicious."
Ai smiled and opened her mouth to say something, but Kōyū put the sandwich to her lips and said, "You should try some too."
She paused for a moment, then opened her mouth and took a small bite. Her face flushed slightly as she nodded, "Luckily, the taste hasn't changed much."
Guangyou withdrew his hand and took a big bite. In an instant, his mouth was filled with the mixed flavors of peanut butter and blueberry jam. In short, it was sweet.
If you can't handle sweets, you'd probably be sick of the sweetness.
"I didn't think you'd like this flavor." Ai smiled as she watched Kouyu devour the sandwich she made. "Even my sister said it was too sweet. She can eat a lot, but she's not used to it."
With his mouth full of sandwiches, Guangyou mumbled, "I think it's delicious, it suits my taste perfectly."
Ai smiled, resting her chin on her hand, and said reproachfully, "Eat slowly, no one's going to take it from you."
Guangyou patted his chest, swallowed the sandwich in his mouth, coughed, and explained, "Because it's delicious, and I'm a little hungry."
"There are two more here." Ai took out another one from the bento box next to her and handed it to Kōyū. "If you want to eat it later, I can make more."
Guangyou took the sandwich and smiled at her: "Then you have to make sandwiches for me for the rest of your life."
"If you love eating for the rest of your life..." Ai hugged her knees, looked into the distance, and said softly, "Then I'll do it for the rest of my life."
Guangyou licked the jam off his lips, looked into the distance, and said, "Then you'd better keep your word."
Ai nodded gently, her tone very calm: "Mm."
Guangyou took a bite of his sandwich, his eyes reflecting the scene of falling snowflakes.
The snow is still falling, the wind is still blowing...
Are you cold?
Kōyū felt the cold wind blowing across his face and looked at Ai, "If you're cold, come sit closer."
"Um."
Ai didn't turn around, but moved a little closer to Kousuke.
Kōyū finished his sandwich in a few bites, patted the crumbs off with both hands, and then reached out to put his arm around Ai.
Ai didn't struggle, but glanced at the lunchbox and asked, "There's one left, aren't you going to eat it?"
"I'm full." Guangyou shook his head. "You can eat this one. You didn't eat anything tonight either."
Ai rested her head on Kousuke's shoulder and said, "I'm not hungry, you eat."
"You have to eat even if you're not hungry."
Kōyū reached out his other hand, took out the last sandwich from the lunchbox, and held it to Ai's mouth, saying, "I'll feed you."
Ai looked down at the sandwich that was about to touch her lips, opened her mouth slightly, and took a small bite.
"It's very sweet..."
After swallowing, Ai smiled and took another bite. "It's sweeter than anything I've had before."
Kwang-woo understood the implication of those words, and upon hearing them, he smiled faintly and said, "It will only get sweeter from now on."
Ai squinted and asked, "Is this your promise?"
Guangyou nodded, his tone very firm: "This is a promise I will never change."
The two leaned on each other quietly. Kōyū kept one hand to Ai’s mouth, and Ai just looked at the snow scene and then opened her mouth to take a bite of the sandwich.
Ai swallowed the last bite of her sandwich and said to the person sitting next to her, "I'm done eating."
"Um."
Guangyou withdrew his hand and patted it on his thigh. Looking at the road gradually being covered by snow and the snowflakes falling from the sky, a melody flashed through his mind, and he couldn't help but hum it.
“The ever-extending shadows lie side by side on the red brick path…”
"Walking with you in this twilight..."
I wish I could hold your hand forever...
"Just being by your side makes me so moved I could cry..."
...
"As long as you're here, no matter what happens."
"There are feelings that can be overcome."
"I pray that such days will last forever."
...
"No whining or vulnerability, just a desire for forever,"
"I truly want to stay together like this forever."
"Pure white snowflakes piled up on this street."
"Quietly draw memories on our chests."
"From this day forward, I will always be with you..."
