"I haven't heard from him all day, and his phone is off. I have no idea what he's doing."
The faint light from the computer screen illuminated Ai's slightly flushed cheeks.
Uninterested in the research, she didn't force herself to continue. She stood up from her chair, took off her white coat, and hung it on a hanger nearby.
After thinking for a moment, Ai took out her phone and made a call to Conan.
As soon as the call connected, she asked impatiently, "Kudo, is Mitsuyu next to you?"
"He's not here."
Conan's puzzled voice came through the microphone, "Don't you know where he is? I didn't see him all day yesterday. I thought he went to your place."
"He has never come to my place."
Ai's lips were pressed into a thin line, and her eyebrows were slightly furrowed. Even she herself didn't notice that her tone unconsciously carried a hint of worry, "Do you think something might have happened to him?"
"You're overthinking it. When I called him yesterday, he was saying he was going out on a mission. He was even joking with me back then."
Conan paused for a moment, then asked, "By the way, why don't you just call him?"
“I called him before, but his phone was off.”
Ai calmed herself down a bit, recalled Conan's mention of the word "mission," and asked, "Do you know what mission he was talking about?"
Conan pursed his lips and said, "He only said the mission was about you, and then I didn't ask any more questions."
"I?"
Hearing Ai's questioning tone, Conan quickly distanced himself from the matter, saying, "Don't ask me about this. I know nothing about you two and don't want to know."
Xiao Ai blushed instantly and quickly said, "Who said we're a couple? I just happened to need to talk to him."

Conan twitched the corner of his mouth, held the microphone a little further away from his mouth, and muttered, "You've kissed so many times and you still say it's not true? Ran and I have never done it. I've eaten your dog food so many times. Women are just hypocritical."

Ai couldn't help but think of those scenes. Although she appeared to be in a dark state, she couldn't help but feel a pang of shyness inside.

Conan didn't want to get involved in their affairs any further, especially since he didn't even know where Mitsuyu was.
So he quickly said, "I really don't have any news about Guangyou. And don't worry, as long as he doesn't cause trouble for others, how could anything happen to him?"
After saying that, Conan hung up the phone without hesitation.

Mingmei's smile faded, and she asked seriously, "Are you coming to my place for lunch today?"
Ai naturally wouldn't refuse her sister's invitation, especially since they hadn't seen each other for a while.

"Okay, then I'll wait for you at my apartment."
After saying this, Akemi was about to hang up when Ai hesitated for a moment and then suddenly asked, "Sister, have you seen Kousuke? I haven't heard from him all day. I called him this morning and found that his phone was off."
