"A date, a date, hehehe."
After taking a shower, Kwang-woo lay on his own little bed, tossing and turning in bed, unable to stop.
"Hey, that's enough."
Conan pulled the blanket over his ears, his muffled voice coming through the covers, "It's just a date, you've had them before, why are you so excited?"
When Kōyū remembered the reason, he chuckled sheepishly and explained, "This time it was Ai who invited me, which is very different from before."
"There's no difference."
Conan, whose emotional intelligence is practically nonexistent, says he doesn't understand the difference between the two at all.
Since it's just the two of you going out, what difference does it make who invites whom?
The guy next to me is a jerk. He's been watching their relationship heat up rapidly, while he can only observe remotely, occasionally sending texts or making phone calls, while the other guy is constantly showing off their love.
Fortunately, he had gotten used to it, but he still felt a little uncomfortable. In a word, it was envy and jealousy, but no hatred.
If he has anyone to hate, he should only hate himself for engaging in that stalking behavior. Why didn't he just call the police?
“What? This is completely different.”
Kouyu had the complete opposite idea from Conan. Looking at the ceiling, he explained, "When a girl invites a boy, it's a great testament to her courage."
Not all girls would take the initiative to invite a guy on a date, but most girls muster up a lot of courage to invite a guy they like.
Apart from girls who treat dating like a daily routine, this applies to girls who are usually outgoing or naturally shy and adorable.
"That's true."
Conan crawled out from under the covers, revealing his entire face. He looked up at the ceiling and muttered to himself, "Ran must have mustered up a lot of courage to invite me to the amusement park back then, right?"
"I really envy you. You can say it so directly. Compared to you, I'm like a coward."
Conan gave a wry smile. Of course he liked Ran; he had liked her for over a decade, since childhood. But the courage he had accumulated over those years was only so little.
"Don't follow my example, I'm not like you."
Knowing what Conan was thinking, Kōyū also spoke up to comfort him, "To be precise, you and I, Ai and Ran are all different."
"You and Xiaolan have grown up in the sunshine. Anyone can invite you in advance, and anyone can be invited. It all depends on the two of you."
With his hands behind his head, Kōyū shifted to a more comfortable position and continued, "I'm different from Ai. Ai's background and experiences meant that she would never have taken the initiative to extend an invitation in the first place."
"In that case, the invitation must be made by me, the guy. Things like this only get done if someone takes the initiative."
Thinking of Ai today, Kōyū smiled and said, "She only took the initiative to invite me after I changed her, so it's different from before."
A hint of pride and self-satisfaction flashed across Guangyou's face as he smiled and said, "This is not just an invitation, but also a testament, a testament that belongs only to her and me."
Conan agreed, nodded, and said, "I'm quite envious of you. I definitely can't do what you do right now."
"Honestly, there's no need to follow my example."
Guangyou shook his head and said earnestly, "No matter how you date, whether you're as direct as me or occasionally flirt like you, it's still dating."
There's no need to think one is better than the other.
Conan listened to every word Kousuke said, and he had to admit that in this respect, Kousuke was indeed better than him.
"Your relationship with Xiaolan is like eating a lollipop; every bite is just the right amount of sweetness."
Kōyū turned his head to look at Conan and said, "Just be yourself, there's no need to worry about this kind of thing."
Hearing what Kōyū said, Conan couldn't help but smile: "What you said makes me feel much better."
Guangyou chuckled mischievously and couldn't help but tease, "Seeing how well you've learned, I'm relieved."
"asshole."
Conan cursed and turned around, but then he smiled quietly to himself, thinking, "Thank you, Mitsuyu."
Just after he finished saying those words in his mind, Guangyou suddenly felt a change in the atmosphere, so much so that he shivered.
"Why does the atmosphere in the room feel a bit BL (Boys' Love)?"
Guangyou didn't know why, but he felt that the atmosphere in the room was a bit strange.
"Never mind, I'm going to sleep."
Guangyou wrapped himself tightly in his blanket, then closed his eyes, ready to sleep.
…
At 10:30 p.m., in an unlit room on the third floor of the Mouri Detective Agency.
Kwang-woo opened his eyes and said speechlessly, "Damn it, I can't sleep because I'm having a date tomorrow."
"Oh right, let's draw a family portrait while we still remember it."
Guangyou threw off the covers, crawled out of bed, and tiptoed to sit at his desk.
He took out the so-called "Book of Demons" from the drawer, turned to a blank page, took a pencil from the pen holder, and began to draw a line drawing.
In the past, he drew rather casually, with line drawings and such being irrelevant, but this family portrait he was drawing was different, and he had to take it seriously.
The impression of the couple in my mind is still quite deep, and drawing the line art is not too difficult.
In short, it's like "writing with divine inspiration." The pencil rubs back and forth on the paper, and in just a few minutes, a simple image of a woman appears on the paper.
