After queuing for five minutes, Kōyū and Ai finally entered the play area.
"I want this blue one."
As soon as Kōyū got on, he took a liking to one of the blue-maned rocking horses, while Ai didn't think much of it and directly chose the one next to Kōyū: "Then I'll take the red one."
While the park is generally frequented by couples, the carousel is the opposite; families tend to ride it more often than couples.
Whether a couple is officially together or not, if the guy has the guts, he'll usually choose thrilling rides like haunted houses or roller coasters.
If the girl gets scared, the only person she can rely on is the boy, wouldn't that be...?
Hehehe~
Therefore, there weren't many couples on the carousel; instead, there were more families with children.
The carousel slowly started, the machine rotated, bringing with it a gentle breeze that ruffled Ai's hair on her forehead and sides.
Under the sunlight, the brown hair reflected a dazzling brilliance.
Ai didn't react much to the carousel. Unlike the other girls, she didn't laugh with joy. She just slightly raised the corners of her mouth and secretly glanced at Kyou out of the corner of her eye.
As Kōyū sat on the rocking horse and it started spinning, he leaned his head against the railing in front of him and looked openly at Ai sitting on the rocking horse next to him.
Their gazes met in mid-air, and Ai quickly looked away, her mind a jumble of thoughts.
Kōyū was lost in thought and didn't notice this; while looking at Ai, he was also imagining what would happen next.
"When I'm eighteen, I'll come back and sit here again. That would be really fun."
The same people are doing the same thing in the same place; the only difference is the time.
That kind of scene is indeed a very interesting thing to think about, but it's quite difficult to do.
It's not easy for couples to maintain their feelings for each other for several years or even more than a decade.
"I'm sure I can do it."
Guangyou was very confident about this, and it wasn't something he just said offhand. The thumping in his chest made him very clear about his feelings.
"Ring ring~"
With a beeping sound, the carousel gradually came to a stop.
The children, hand in hand with their parents, left the carousel area and walked happily toward their next destination.
Kōyū walked over to Ai, extended his hand, and said, "Let's go, what's next?"
Ai reached out and took Kousuke's hand, smiling as she said, "It's still the carousel."
"good."
Without hesitation, Kōyū took Ai's hand and returned to the long queue, becoming part of it once again.
Ai watched as Kousuke continued his rambling. When his attention was no longer on her, she quietly turned her head and glanced enviously at the family holding hands.
To avoid being discovered by Kousuke, Ai turned away after taking one look and continued to wait for them to re-enter the arena.
Although Kōyū was muttering to himself, he was just trying to pass the time, and his attention was still focused on Ai.
Her turning her head did not escape Guangyou's notice, but he would not bring it up; he had been worried about this when he saw the scene earlier.
So the moment it ended, he went to Ai's side and reached out his hand, hoping to distract her.
However, the effect of this method does not seem to be obvious.
"Let her have some fun and distract her."
...
After waiting for fifteen minutes and watching four or five groups of people leave, Guangyou and Xiaoai finally re-entered the carousel area.
"It's still this blue one."
Guangyou immediately found the little pony from before and plopped down on it.
"Then I'll stick with the red one."
Ai didn't choose any other horses; she chose the red one again and sat directly on the rocking horse.
"Please hold on tight and do not move around during the ride. The carousel is about to start."
The moment the staff member's voice fell, the carousel machine started moving.
Ai's eyes were fixed ahead. After hearing the notification, she snapped out of her reverie and subconsciously glanced in the direction of Kyou, but she couldn't see the boy she was supposed to see.
The next moment, she felt someone behind her, and a pair of hands around her waist. Those warm hands made her tremble.
Her long, curled black eyelashes fluttered gently, and her previously steady breathing became erratic. At that moment, her mind was completely blank.
Coming to her senses, Ai forced herself to keep her tone normal and asked, "What are you doing?"
"Um…"
Instead of responding, Kōyū faced her and rested his head on Ai's shoulder.
The carousel stirred up a gentle breeze, carrying the lemony scent of Kōyū's hair, which Ai also caught a whiff of.
At the same time, warm air blew onto her neck, causing a blush to quickly spread across her face.
"Really."
The carousel was currently in operation, so Ai couldn't urge Kousuke to leave immediately. She could only turn her head away and look at the scenery outside to distract herself.
After admiring the scenery for a while, the beautiful blush on her face gradually faded, and she returned to her original appearance.
The blushing is easy to get over, but the feeling from behind doesn't disappear so quickly.
Ai's mind kept reminding her that Kousuke was right behind her, hugging her. Although she tried her best to distract herself, she couldn't.
"call…"
