"The effect is good."
Guangyou was also very satisfied with this photo. He looked handsome in it, with three-dimensional and already somewhat angular facial features. A few strands of black hair peeked out from under his baseball cap, and the curve of his mouth was just right.
Even through the screen, Guangyou could feel the boy's handsomeness, which made him exclaim, "This boy looks exceptionally dashing. Any girl who marries him will be incredibly lucky."
Ai rolled her eyes at him and said disdainfully, "Shameless."
She poked and tapped her fingers on the photo booth, giving the photo a final touch of decoration.
But after hesitating for a long time, she realized that the so-called decorations seemed a bit superfluous, and she preferred the original state without any additions.
"Let's make a cup."
Kōyū reached out and tapped a few times on the machine, selected the image he wanted to print on the cup, then inserted a little yen into the machine, and that was it.
The service desk offers the option of shipping, which is quite convenient, although it incurs a small handling fee, so it's not too bad.
They filled in Professor Agasa's address, paid the processing fee, and each left with a printed photo booth picture.
Just as they stepped out of the arcade, Ai suddenly grabbed Kousuke and said, "I want to go inside and play for a bit."
"Video games?"
Guangyou paused for a moment, then nodded. "Okay."
He did want to play video games, but he was afraid that Ai wouldn't like them, so he didn't choose that option.
He chose this place not because he wanted to bring Ai to play video games, but mainly to take some photo booth pictures.
There are several photo booths in the park, though not everywhere. I chose this one because it was the closest.
After re-entering the arcade and exchanging some game tokens at the counter, Guangyou and Xiaoai walked among the rows of arcade machines, choosing the ones they wanted to play.
Guangyou turned his head and asked, "What do you want to play?"
"You choose."
Ai isn't particularly interested in video games, but the two games she played today were her idea, and since this date is for two people, she can't just play by herself.
While the goal is to enjoy time together, having fun is also very important.
"Then let's play racing."
Kōyū pulled Ai along and sat down in front of a racing game machine where two players could compete against each other.
There's not much to say about the game itself. Originally, Ai just wanted to play with Kousuke, but she forgot about it as they played.
The two had a lot of fun, secretly throwing the game to each other in hopes that the other would win, unaware that the other was thinking the same thing.
But no matter who wins in the end, both of them will have smiles on their faces.
Winning or losing is not important at all. If you are playing a game with someone you like and you still care about winning or losing and have to compete to see who is better, I guess no one but a straight man would do that, right?
One thing at a time, Guangyou also has to be honest. Xiao Ai's skills in this racing game are very strong. She was a little rusty in the first game, but from the second game onwards, she was as skilled as a veteran who had played dozens of games.
If Ai plays with him for a long time, Kouyu thinks she could even go toe-to-toe with him. Compared to that great detective with black-rimmed glasses, he estimates that Ai could easily beat Conan even with just one hand.
While controlling the race car, Kōyū complained about Conan. The reason he rarely played video games before was because no one played with him. Playing against the AI was more fun than playing against Conan.
This is not an insult to Conan at all; it's just that the truth might be like this.
If it were a soccer game, Conan would definitely be better than Kouyu in terms of skill, but he often can't bring out his full potential.
“GAME OVER”.
"Player2 Wins!"
Looking at the defeat message on the screen, Kōyū felt no sense of defeat as he usually did when he lost a match. Instead, he laughed out loud and turned to Ai, who was holding the steering wheel beside him, and said, "Let's do it again. This time, I won't lose to you."
Ai also got into the game mode, showing no intention of backing down. She confidently declared, "You can't win."
Ai wins this round.
Guangyou won the second game.
In the third round, Ai won.
...
The coins in the coin basket gradually decreased, and after playing for what seemed like the umpteenth round, the two realized that only two coins remained in the basket.
The few dozen game tokens we just bought are definitely not enough for two people to play. After playing a dozen or so rounds, we only have this many left.
A game requires two game coins, meaning that having only two game coins left means this is the last game the two can play together. Both of them are focused and wholeheartedly enjoying this last game.
Time ticked by in the game, and the cars controlled by Kousuke and Ai were about to cross the finish line. Sometimes Ai was in the lead, and sometimes Kousuke was in the lead.
As if they had agreed beforehand, the two of them braked almost simultaneously just as they were about to cross the finish line, bringing their vehicle to a stop one parking space away from the finish line.
Ai stretched and looked at the screen, saying without turning her head, "You lost too badly, I'll give you some face."
Guangyou also stretched his muscles and said, "Ladies first, I'll let you have this once, but I won't go easy on you next time."
After they finished speaking, neither of them had any intention of moving. They stared intently at the screen, hoping that the other could cross the finish line before them.
And so, the two of them dragged the game out until the very last second, but even then, they still didn't try to control the car to cross the finish line that was right in front of them.
