"You tricked me."
Guangyou looked up at the roof of the boat, his face showing a look of utter despair. He sighed and said, "After years of wandering the world, I've been completely outmaneuvered by a little girl. It's truly a disgrace."
His slightly pretentious remark made Ai roll her eyes at him, and she said, "Sit down and speak properly."

Guangyou quickly abandoned his earlier attempt to show off and obediently sat back down in his chair. Although he didn't care in his heart, a disappointed expression still appeared on his face.

Ai didn't know he was faking it. She thought that the joke had made Kōyū feel a little down, so she felt guilty and quickly apologized to him, "I shouldn't have made that joke to you."

Guangyou didn't give up. He shifted his position, moved closer, and said, "Then let's compensate each other, how about that? Is that fair?"
In fact, Ai had already agreed in her heart the moment Kousuke made the suggestion, but she didn't want to give Kousuke an answer so quickly, so she deliberately hesitated for a moment. When she opened her eyes, she saw Guangyou sitting upright. If the feeling on his face hadn't been so real, she might have actually been fooled by him.

Guangyou blinked innocently and said calmly, "Isn't this the compensation we agreed on? How great is that?"
Ai rolled her eyes at Hikaru and spat, "What kind of compensation is this?"
Her reaction was exactly what Guangyou had expected. He remained completely calm and said to her with great confidence, "Compensation isn't about what you want, but about what I have."

Ai didn't bother arguing with Kousuke, so she turned her head to look out the window and ignored him.
A gentle breeze, carrying the fragrance of riverside grass, lightly brushed against Ai's face, making the spot where Guangyou had "ambushed" her even cooler.
Her face, which had been stern just moments before, was now serene. She leaned against the railing, resting her chin on her hand, letting her tea-colored hair sway in the wind. The smile on her lips was warmer than the sun at that moment, but no one could see this scene except for the trees on the opposite bank.
Kōyū didn't disturb Ai; he was currently looking at Kaito and Aoko opposite him.

Aoko had recovered from her earlier withdrawn state and was leaning on the railing, looking at the scenery outside, occasionally letting out a gasp of surprise.
Kaito sat down next to her, his hands on the railing, secretly watching Aoko who was laughing. As soon as he saw that Aoko seemed to be turning her head away, he quickly turned his head away and returned to his original half-asleep state.
