Kōyū popped a piece of popcorn into his mouth, turned to look at Kaito, and asked, "Is this what you wanted?"
Kaito shook his head, as if he had already anticipated this result, and sighed softly: "No, it's just a very ordinary gem."
"I'm happy because this time I dispelled Aoko's suspicions about me and fooled Inspector Nakamori."
Guangyou nodded knowingly. Indeed, this matter was very important; the trouble that would result from his identity being exposed would be considerable.
With Aoko's persistent questioning and the police's pursuit, it would be a miracle if they didn't end up in jail and pick up soap with that black guy, let alone uncover the truth.
"Your method worked this time, so I won't bother you anymore."

Kaito pursed his lips, and seeing that Kōyū didn't want to continue the conversation, he didn't want to make a fool of himself. He reached into the popcorn bucket next to him, grabbed a handful, and stuffed it into his mouth.
"It smells so good."

The monster let out a mournful howl. A huge hole appeared in the center of its massive body, from which green blood flowed. The swaying monster hadn't taken more than a few steps before it collapsed to the ground with a thud.
Surrounding the monster's corpse were the ruins of a human city; not a single building was intact.
The setting sun cast its light on this scarred land, and the air was thick with the stench of blood, creating a desolate atmosphere.
The humans who had killed the monster cheered, but the leaders among them stared at the enormous corpse in deep thought, their eyes filled with self-doubt.

The lights in the screening room came on at that moment, and many people got up to leave, but Guangyou remained seated, lost in thought.
"If humanity continues to extract resources from nature without restraint as it does now, then the ending in the movie is the reality that humanity will have to face sooner or later."
Ai Haibara calmly stated the central message of the movie, then stood up, patted Kouyu on the shoulder, and said softly, "Let's go, don't think too much. This kind of thing can't be changed by just a few people."
"Huh? I didn't think about that. I just saw a lot of people leaving and I didn't want to squeeze in with them."
Kōyū glanced at Ai with surprise. This kind of thing was none of his business. He was just an ordinary person. He would be lucky to live to be a hundred years old. Who cared what kind of mess humans would make of the earth in the future?
He wasn't the kind of saint who "worried about the world's troubles before enjoying its pleasures." He just wanted to live his own life well and that was it. He hadn't even fully resolved his own problems yet, so who cared about things hundreds of years from now?
Ai is completely overthinking this. She's seen countless apocalyptic movies with this theme, and she's seen people who shout about energy conservation, emission reduction, and environmental protection, but then turn around and litter everywhere.
Ai smiled and teased Kōyū, "I thought you suddenly became noble after watching this movie."
"Huh, what do you mean? I wasn't bad before, okay?"
Guangyou ran his hand through his hair and said defiantly, "I used to be a handsome and virtuous young man."
Ai leaned back in the seat in front of her, propping her head up with her hand, and quipped, "If you could sell your face, you'd be the richest person in the world."
"Then you would be the wife of the world's richest man."
Kōyū also leaned forward, looking at the Stinger (the movie's post-credits scene) at the very end of the film, and quipped, "Is this going to get a sequel? Will the monsters be resurrected this time?"
Ai didn't get a chance to continue the conversation. Seeing that most of the people around her had already left, she said to Kōyū, "Let's go, most of the people have left."
"good."
Guangyou got up, stretched, picked up the popcorn bucket next to him, and poured all the remaining popcorn into his mouth in one go.
The two walked out of the screening room side by side, and only then did Kōyū realize that Aoko and Kaito, who had already left with the crowd, were still waiting at the door.
"Sister Qingzi, were you waiting for us?"
Guangyou was a little confused. The fireworks festival was about to start in half an hour. Weren't these two going to find a good place to watch the fireworks?
"Yes, this woman was worried that something might happen to you in a crowded place, so she insisted on waiting for you."
