Chapter 605 Fake Travel Guide

The next morning

"Uncle, could you walk a little faster?"

"What's the rush, you little rascal? It's not like you're not going to pick up that little girl."

Ran, who was walking behind, looked at Guangyou with his light steps and sighed, "Guangyou used to give me the feeling of a little adult, but now he really is like a child."

"Heh." Conan revealed his crescent-shaped eyes and thought to himself, "It's all because we can bring Haibara along this time, otherwise that guy would definitely not want to go."

After spending so much time together, he had figured out Guangyou's inner thoughts perfectly.

Urged on by Kōyū, the group soon arrived at Professor Agasa's house.

When Kōyū arrived, he found that Ai was already waiting at the door.

Today, Ai changed into outdoor clothes and professional hiking boots.

Kōyū was very familiar with the equipment she was wearing, because it was the same equipment they had bought when they went to climb Mount Fuji.

"Why are you up so early?" Guangyou jogged up to him and asked with concern, "Aren't you going to sleep a little longer?"

Upon hearing this, Uncle Mori and Conan were speechless, and even Ran looked a little awkward.

Recalling what happened this morning, Uncle Mori and Conan couldn't help but mutter, "That kid... really..."

This time, the two of them finally reached a consensus.

This is mainly because they were sleeping soundly this morning when Guangyou woke them up.

Let's go back to this morning...

...

Conan slept soundly yesterday. In his dream, he was solving a case, but he suddenly discovered that everyone in the case had turned into Kyou's appearance.

At the time, Conan just felt something was strange, but he didn't pay much attention to it.

But later, when he won applause for his deduction, Conan realized that Ran looked exactly like Mitsuyu.

That's not the scariest part. The scariest part is that Xiaolan, who has Guangyou's face, suddenly confesses her feelings to him.

Conan wanted to refuse at the time, but in his dream he nodded.

As the two drew closer together, Conan was startled awake from the dream.

When Conan woke up, he found Mitsuyu standing by his bedside, calling out to him, "Look at the time! It's so late and you're still lying in bed. You have no youthful energy at all. Get up and have breakfast. We're going hiking today!"

Conan, still reeling from his dream, swallowed hard when he saw Kōyū's face, moved aside, and replied, "I'll get up right away, but could you please leave first? I don't want to see your face for now."

At that moment, Shiro immediately rolled his eyes at Conan and muttered, "You're crazy..."

...

As for Uncle Mori, he's not as exaggerated as Conan, since he and Mitsuyu don't share a room, and he's also Mitsuyu's elder.

So this morning, Guangyou simply knocked on the door, which turned him from a half-asleep state into full wakefulness.

...

"I went to bed early yesterday, so I woke up a little earlier today," Ai said with a faint smile. "Besides, I still have to prepare a bento for you."

“Actually, it doesn’t matter if it’s a bento box,” Guangyou said. “The temperature has been low in the mornings lately, and it wouldn’t be worth it if you caught a cold because you were making bento boxes.”

The words that came out of Kōyū's mouth made Uncle Mori and Conan's expressions turn strange.

Is this even human language?

So, neither of them gets a cold?

"No, they won't." Ai felt a surge of warmth in her heart and said, "Let's go, they're still waiting for you."

"Okay." Kōyū turned to look at Uncle Mori and his group who were waiting behind them and said, "Uncle, let's go!"

"Forget it, let's not argue with kids." Uncle Mori comforted himself and then said to the others, "Let's go, we've picked them up, let's go to the station now."

After picking up Ai, the group boarded a bus to head to their destination for the day – Mount Tengu.

It takes more than an hour to get from the office to Mount Kotengu, and since the office doesn't have a fixed vehicle, we took the bus to our destination this time.

Actually, Uncle Mori originally owned a car, the red sports car he won before.

Speaking of which, it's been a long time since Guangyou has seen that red sports car. He doesn't know if Uncle Mori sold it or what, but he hasn't seen that car in a long time.

The bus to Mount Kotengu was practically empty, making Uncle Mori wonder if he'd gotten on the wrong bus.

He had checked the tourist guide before coming, which said that there were quite a few tourists at Xiaotiangou Mountain recently. As a result, there were only a few people on the bus, except for an old lady who was going to get off halfway.

To make sure he hadn't gotten on the wrong train, Uncle Mori took a look at the route map inside the carriage. When he saw Kotenguyama Station on the map, he frowned: "I didn't get on the wrong train, so why are there so few people on the train?"

“Maybe those tourists are already climbing the mountain,” Kōyū said to Uncle Mori. “Anyway, we’re out having fun, so it’s better if there are fewer people.”

For Guangyou, getting on the wrong bus doesn't really matter. Where he goes to play this time isn't important; what matters is who he goes with.

Hearing this, Uncle Mori thought it made sense and nodded, saying, "You're right, maybe she...they've already reached the foot of the mountain."

"It's good even if no one's around," Guangyou muttered to himself, gazing out the window. "At least no one will bother us."

The spaciousness of the train carriage also had an advantage for Kōyū: he and Ai could avoid sitting with Uncle Mōri and the others.

The two were sitting at the back of the carriage by the window. Ai leaned on Kousuke's shoulder and closed her eyes to rest, while Kousuke looked at the scenery outside the window and occasionally turned his head to look at Ai.
