They hadn't walked far when Uncle Mori was already drenched in sweat, bent over with his hands on his knees, panting heavily. He weakly raised his hand to the people ahead, saying intermittently, "Rest...take a break..."

Hearing their conversation, Uncle Mori was somewhat taken aback. It seemed like this kid wasn't going to wait for him.
As he suspected, Guangyou didn't want to wait in place. There was still a considerable distance to the summit, and if they continued walking and stopping like this, it would take too long.
By the time we reached the mountaintop, lunchtime would probably be long over.
So, Uncle Mori, who was still panting, could only watch helplessly as Kōyū and the other slowly made their way upstairs. He scoffed, "That brat..."
